The beef between Gettomasa (or as often shortened, Masa, which is just the latter part of his name) and Lukas Leon from a few years ago was one of the most closely followed and perhaps one of the most entertaining episodes in the history of Finnish rap. I don't know exactly how the artists originally ended up beefing, but it is a fact that Lukas Leon name-dropped Gettomasa in one of his freestyle videos, after which Gettomasa dedicated an entire verse to Lukas Leon in his song "Veli Mä Vannon" (2nd verse of the song), where he spoke in a somewhat harsh tone about Lukas. It didn't take long for Lukas Leon to release a diss track on Masa, titled "Gekkomasa". The song was unexpectedly released on RU-vid with a video on December 3, 2020, and just about 48 hours later, Gettomasa released his response track "Istu" on RU-vid. Without taking a personal stance on who "won" the beef, it was evident that the majority of listeners felt that Gettomasa had the upper hand with his response, if a beef can even be considered to have a winner. Shortly after this, Gettomasa and Lukas Leon publicly announced that they had resolved their differences and they are cool now. The "Istu" song primarily focuses on dissing one artist, and the mention of "Chekkonen" in the song refers to an already retired Finnish artist named Cheek, whose record label, Liiga Music, had signed Lukas Leon. Just to mention, Cheek is undoubtedly one of the most successful Finnish artists of all time. In this disstrack Lukas Leon is referred to as merely "Cheek's puppet" and "a small part of Cheek's career plan." This alludes to the idea that Lukas Leon would be a relevant artist only because Cheek granted him a career by signing him and bringing him prominently into the wider awareness of Finnish listeners. In any case, this beef was highly entertaining for us Finnish rap enthusiasts. That's pretty much the whole story in a nutshell.

Gettomasa was dissing Lukas Leon in the song "Istu" or Sit. Lukas made a diss first (Lukas Leon - Gekkomasa). U reacted to Gettomasa's answer to him.

Chekkonen is artist called Cheek. He was the biggest artist in Finland before he retired in 2018. You should also check him out. He has been rapping since early 2000's and is one of the rappers from the first wave of finnish hiphop.
