Though for anyone wanting to watch it dubbed know that there are actually TWO English dubs, the Netflix one (streaming only, 🏴‍☠included) and the Sentai one (physical copy only). Though this is really only a problem if you are grabbing the torrent, WEB = Netflix and BD = Sentai.

Junna, the artist responsible for the 2nd Kakegurui opening, was only 19 years old when she recorded that song. That deep voice on someone so young and she can bust out stuff like that. It's really impressive.

Brynhildr is one of those anime where I loved the first opening, but fell in love with the second. It’s the anime that introduced me to Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, and I’ve been following them ever since. Doesn’t hurt that the show is such an interesting ride of a story.

Both have supernatural abilities. Both get hunted down bc of them. Both of those organizations send other victims after her as assassins.

Tales of Zestiria has two OPs, this one is for the anime adaptation, but you should totally check out the OP for the game! It has a totally different feel, but it's just as good as Flow's. It feels like something you would hear in the Fate series, and yes you were right, the anime was done by Ufotable, the guys behind Fate. I do not remember how Brynhildr ended, but I definitely remember the show even though I watched it forever ago. Those OPs also make a hell of an impact on you. I should really watch Kakegurui. All I ever heard was that it was the gambling ver of Food Wars.

Tales of Zesteria is a sequel to tales of Berseria, Flow performed opening for that game as well. It would be cool if you checked Tales of game openings, it would be really cool. There is a lot of amazing songs.

Tales of Zestiria the X has a source material in the form of a game. And the opening is really great. In general, the openings in the anime style of the "Tales of..." game series are quite good. I particularly like Tales of the Abyss, Tales of Xillia, Tales of Zestiria, Tales of Berseria and Tales of Arise.

Omg, I just woke up and my jaw dropped when I checked out my notifications. I was the guy that was recommending Brynhildr in the darkness every day for a month and people encouraged me to continue. I am so glad you enjoyed it, can't wait to start recommending more music. Also glad you checked out Kakegurui, they're pretty popular anime openings and they're also pretty good. brynhilde in the darkness’ op is definitely metaphorical, might help that the title is already seeped in norse mythology since if you didnt know but the name brynhildr belongs to arguably the most famous of the valkyries both due to being considered the strongest and being a central character in the nibelungenlied where the hero sigurd/siegfried tricked her into marrying gunther/gunnar the king of burgundy where sigurd masquerade as gunnar whist completing the trials for her hand in marriage, when she discovered the truth years later she plotted sigurd’s death and eventually succeeded but then fatally stabbed herself on sigurd’s funeral pyre to be by his side since he is her rightful husband due to her revenge and suicide modern fiction tends to portray her as a crazed/insane person if not love obsessed or in anime terms; a yandere but overall she was bascially “in the dark”… make if this as you will

I LOVE the second opening of brynhildr. The anime (if I remember right) is about this normal dude and these girls who have little aliens in their necks which are basically their real bodies, and they have very limited lifespans. I remember liking it.

The manga continues and completes the story, but yeah the last few episodes rush to reach an awkward conclusion point that was supposed to be a cliffhanger to the next part rather than a stopping point

Yooo! MinusT released the long-awaited Eternal night part 2. In this regard, I think this is the best moment to resume the reaction to Touhou. I recommend making a reaction to the Touhou Kinema Kan. Yeah I'm quite confident you've reacted to the most recent Tokyo Revengers opening. They did use the exact same song for two openings in a row, but I still believe you checked out the most recent one in another one of your batch videos.

It's been a long time since I've seen Brynhildr in the Darkness. If I remember correctly, it's kind of bloody/gory. Tales of Zestiria the X is the anime version of the videogame Tales of Zestiria. The game version has a different OP (White Light by Superfly) and it's also awesome! I hope you react to the OPs of the Tales game series which Zestiria is a part of - their latest games have animations by Ufotable. There's anime versions for some of the Tales games and they also have different OPs from their game version with the exception of Tales of the Abyss which uses the same song (Karma by Bump of Chicken). If you're gonna watch the game OPs though, I suggest looking for the Japanese OPs cause they just left them as instrumentals when the games were localized.

you should also check out the game opening for tales of zestiria now, make sure it's the japanese version. the english is good as well, but it's just an instrumental version of the japanese song and if you're listening to white light, you gotta have those amazing vocals.

Yeah Kakegurui might have had you scratching your head guessing what its about from the openings, but honestly its a really good story with a lot of twists and turns you'll not see coming. The main focus is gambling. Specifically at a prestigious school for the ultra elite of Japan. A place where social standing isn't based on looks, sports or academics. It's based on your ability to gamble. Saying any more then that would be spoilers. Unfortunately the anime isn't finished at this point. It's had two seasons and a spin-off / prequel called Kakegurui Twin. Still you might want to give it a look sometime.

I remember when i watched Brynhildr in the Darkness nearly a decade ago. Trust me this is NOT metaphorical!!! I rewatched it recently and read the manga for it an i'd say this is NOT RU-vid friendly but is also a "Hidden Classic" among the anime community

Kakegurui op was rather cultured. But check all the series songs (the ED).. included the new one Kakegurui Twins. (it's a jazz piece.) All very good animated and sang. JUNNA is not a bad singer herself - and only 23.

Kakegurui was made before Mappa became a juggernaut in the anime world so no death, its just a gambling anime with a lot of sadistic players, really good watch. Brynhildr is written by the same author of Elfen Lied, extremely gory and violent. Tales of Zersteria is an anime adaptation of a game by Ufotable, amazing animations. Could react to the openings for Welcome to Demon School Iruma!?

Flow Question: How much contact do the bands have with the writers and directors of the shows you make songs for? How is that different between shows like Naruto where you have a Manga/ Light novel to look at vs. an anime original show like Code Geass? I would love to leave links but unfortunately youtube deletes my comments when I include them So here are some recommendations: For a 90's anime list compilation list here is a good one: Best Anime Openings: 1990-1999 by Yvimarã AMVs. Also I would really love you to do a deep dive into English anime openings at some point. Reacting to the songs alone would be great but if you want to learn something about them I recommend these 2 videos: I Miss English Anime Openings by Mothers Basement and English Dub Anime Openings Slapped! By Internet Pitstop Brynhilder in Darkness is one of the most interesting concepts I've come across in anime. However, its also extremely messed up and traumatic and the anime ends before it completes the story told in the manga. I personally really like that first Brynhilder opening
