I remember when this song/video came out, our football coaches got the whole team together in the locker room and played it for us. All of our coaches were fighting back tears but none of us players understood why. Now that I’m older I get it 😢

Thanks for the shout out to the coaches. I am in college currently at The Ohio State University majoring in the Sports Industry program to become a football coach. The game will always be about the Boys of Fall.

I miss this so much! For me it was varsity boys hockey. Living in Minnesota we ARE The State of Hockey! In my senior year my high school team went to State. I'll never forget the feeling of stepping out on the ice at the Xcel Energy Center. Seeing 18,000 people in the stands. Looking at the student section going crazy. For that night I felt like I was in the NHL playing for The Minnesota Wild. Hearing the cheers and groans when I made a big save.

I coach for 20 years and this video actually comes from a longer documentary movie and we used to show it to our kids. It's beginning of every year. Every time I watch this, it brings back so many feelings!

You should watch the series Kenny did with ESPN I think it’s like a 7 part series. If you search ESPN boys of fall, has A LOT of OG’s players and coaches that Kenny directs in the series. Kenny played football in high school but I believe he was too small to play college so I think that’s why he plays A lot of football stadiums.
