For some reason, a lot of people get it twisted about Miley. They judge her personal life, forgetting they were young once, and skate right past the fact the girl can SANG! Great reaction, and your perfect🙂
agreed. i had mispent years falling off roofs, getting road rash from racing a motor cycle that rag dolled me into a speed limit post/sign when the kickstand dropped. Did a 720% spin into a blizzard at night on Valentine's Day just to not drop into the lethal rollovers to my left and right when I found myself back into a farmers drive (I got lucky 2x that night, once on the road)... the tongue out silliness I found annoying at the time but her life... whothehellamitojudge? Our smooth lines make us easier to tolerate... our rough edges make for good stories.
The movie, O Brother, Where Art Thou? brought this song back with The Soggy Bottom Boys. The song is considered a traditional American folk song (from the 1920s or so?) Love, love Miley. I want to hear her cover Pat Benatar's, All Fired Up. Congratulations on your pregnancy! Pregnancy brain is challenging!
George Clooney played the main character in “O Brother Where Art Thou?”. In the movie, he and his companions in the movie performed this song in the movie twice. However, George and the other people who played the other characters didn’t actually sing the song. They just lip synced Bluegrass musician Dan Tymenski, who plays in the backing band for Alison Krause, sang all the parts.
Me too. My friend and I are always quoting it. I got to see Dan Tymenski perform the song live with Alison Krauss, and he told the story of how he came to record the song.@@loralayne2471
For the longest time I thought Miley could not sing too, until I saw her renditions of Jolene, Lilac Wine, and Look What They've Done To My Song on a sessions called The Backyard Session here on RU-vid. She changed my mind.
Rosemary clooney, a suessful singer in her time, is George Clooneys aunt, and they lived together. They had a very close relationship . That's the little I remember. Keep enjoying your journey. ❣️
I never thought I'd like Miley based on her pop career. A few weeks ago, I saw a series of videos on her page called, "the backyard sessions", which is over 10 years old now. I had NO idea Miley was so talented. BTW, you reacted to a group called "home free" doing this song... but it comes from a George Clooney movie. (I'm sure that last part has already been said, but... whatever.)
Don't underestimate! This young lady Miss Miley, can take any song and kill it absolutely executed it!!! Just wanted to say thank you Miley I love you girl you are so precious to me. And I wanted to say also that I hated this song until she sang it now I love it only her version.! She's precious 💙💙💙
such a great MAZZY song. I have somehow not heard Miley's... so so so far behind on music, esp the small sessions, busking, improvised moments. THANK YOU for reminding me of Mazzy!
@@McLeod2022 There’s a group called ImY2 that absolutely CRUSHED their cover of Fade. And, Annalise, their lead singer is an angel. No exaggeration needed.
@@robertsanssouci2093 thank you... i just sent to my FB people... a few will relate. Most wont. Thank you for the link. *edited - adding onto my always expanding list of artists to discover... we have so much damn talent all around us" Peace. Again, sincere Thanks.
Linda Ronstadt sang Rock, Latin, Country, Classical 40s music, Jazz, and won awards in everything… She was the highest paid female vocalist for awhile. But was forced into retirement because she got Parkinson’s disease… It’s quite a rabbit hole.. so far you’ve only touched two of her genres
I used to love just mettle and hate pop but as I grow old I appreciate more things. She is quite the talent for sure 👏 That said Finsterfrost's version of Wrecking Ball is amazing, I recommend you give it a react 🤘 As always I really loved your reaction 🎉
The movie was "O Brother Where Art Thou?" And the singer was Dan Tyminski, of Alison Krauss's band, Union Station. George might be able to sing, but not like Dan Tyminski.
Not sure why it's called a George Clooney tribute, Dan Tyminski of Union Station sang the song in the movie...🤔 ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-HOy-Y5aw9n4.html
"Who else has been successful in all these genres?" - Debbie Harry, 'Weird Al' Yankovic, and Linda Ronstadt, to name a couple. But that is definitely rare air, and great company to find yourself in. I'd love to hear Miley cover some Fleetwood Mac, as hers is the only voice that might be able to give us Stevie Nicks vibes... Miley's also hilarious in this, which takes a certain mental speed to stay true to the song while thinking, chatting, responding to the room, ... Huge fan.
Funny you should say that about Stevie Nicks as it was also the first thing I thought on hearing Myle's raspyness. I totally love her voice & her versatility in all styles she sings. That one with Mettalica was a banger. She can rock it with the best.
@BrittReacts Hi Britt O BROTHER, WHERE ART Thou? I Am a Man Of Constant Sorrow | O Brother, Where Art Thuo? Fortune/Walker/Rogers/Isaacs - Man Of Constant Sorrow (Live At Columbia,... ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-y3Zsztxl6jc.html that was not George can you sing? I was the definite voiceover original singer is The song was recorded by Dan Tyminski (lead vocals), with Harley Allen and Pat Enright, based on the Stanleys' version. Tyminski also wrote, played, and changed the guitar part of the arrangement. Two versions by Tyminski were found in the soundtrack album, with different backup instruments. I LOVE YOU BRITTREACTS God bless you and your family always
If you would like another great song by Miley Cyrus watch the RU-vid - Miley Cyrus featuring Johnzo West "You're Gonna Make Me Lonesome When You Go". This was a tribute song to Bob Dylan. I think you would really enjoy 🤓
Miles does some lovely covers ~ inc Dylan’s You’re going to make me lonesome ~ but this is an old American song brought back to life in Dylan’s first album aged 21, mostly covers. Dylan’s version is the real song.
Miley annoyed me for a spell but I admire, appreciate, and see her better now... she's a "Made Man"... if she asks to collab, to do it. Her interviews are fantastic, her smoky voice is a pleasure, and she is one of many artists who did their pop time but have great voices. If you haven't heard Nicole Sherzinger (of Pussycat Dolls fame) sing Don't Cry for Me Argentina... or Billie Eillish cover MJ's Bad... or ...well... Amy Winehouse (not a surprise for the voice) sing the Beatles All My Loving... there are soo many singers who do their time for the label but what you really want to hear is what they sing on a sofa or in the garage. Too many others to mention. And Amal is SERIOUSLY wicked smart and gorgeous. You look radiant, Love! Your energy is such a joy to witness.
Miley was struggling ttying to find her place in the world, then her Godmother Dolly took her under her wing and showed her "her place" in the grown up world
Can't say I'm keen on Miley; she's not my demographic or taste. Someone sent me her Heart of Glass cover recently though and I have to admit... it is pretty effing good. EDIT: And the catsuit helps I have to be honest 😈
Man of constant sorrow is a very old song sung primarily by Blue Grass groups . If it ever was copy writed it has long since fell out of coverage. Hundreds of different people have performed it. Some have made it famous again. Miley Cyrus has always been a good to excellent singer. She gained her fame as a Disney Kid . The world is filled with little girls how wanted to be Hannah Montana. The first thing she did was kill off the character . I give her credit to the fact she out raunched Madonna and Lady Gaga. The wrecking ball video pretty much cinched the deal. That image replaced the sweet and innocent ideal people had of her.
You are the only reactor who I have seen watch this! She comes from talent -- her dad is very talented! You were trying to remember Home Free. Geoff Castellucci also did this.
She's amazing isn't she? You might want to check out her performance of Metallica's "Nothing Else Matters" on the Howard Stern Show, WITH Metallica. It's freakin crazy good but I'm not sure if you can deal with the copywrite thing. Plus, the first couple of minutes of this are just talking to Howard, but here it is anyway! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-hBmSS8fDmek.html
She did went on the scary post Disney trajectory we've all seen but honestly she's come through it and checked every bucket list box along the way. I admire her.
I had a aunt that smoked real bad & had to push that button on her throat when she spoke, usually still had a cigerette in her hand, but miley sounds like that!
For me, my personal opinion, I think Miley is the best female vocalist out there bar none, she's incredible, and yes her range is beyond ridiculous. Absolutely love her ❤️
Linda Ronstadt too crossed many genres. country, Folk-rock, rock n' roll, Broadway song books, Mexican traditional music, Cuban jazz. No, she didn't do RAP or metal. As for Miley, yes, she is the most versatile in her batch.
Clooney can't sing. His aunt, Rosemary Clooney, was in White Christmas with Bing Crosby and was an amazing singer. When they got Clooney for the movie, they assumed he would be good because she was but it turned out he had a terrible voice so they dubbed him. He talks in interviews about the humour behind how the talent skipped a generation. :P
Pregnancy brain is real. I love your hair! Double (church) clap must be for black-ish churches. WiPePo don't have that kinda rhythm. Miley is young. Lots of people rebel when they escape childhood. I bet we're going to see a lot more from her, as she gains the wisdom of experience and time. She's also got a lot of good people around her, guiding and supporting her. And yeah, she can sang!
