FIRST TIME REACTING TO _ Neil Peart Drum Solo Rush 

I'm soooo glad You didn't put yourself in that group on RU-vid that claims "Neil Peart was ONE of the best drummers that ever lived." The problem is this, most people who claim that never heard all that he can do, his creativity, his vision, his dogged persistance, and even the way he purposefully adds in parts to his drum solo that sound "out of beat"...he began doing this later on (& does it in this solo about mid-way in, about @5:10). He even mentions this "out of beat" parts in an interview. I played bass 40 years, and I've learned many songs doing Neal's drum parts with my hands on different areas of flat surfaces like the inside walls of kitchen sink, island kitchen, at work etc...and I've learned to play the "out of beat" parts. It's just something that takes years to develop, (not Dog Years!) lol

@@RottenPoliticians I played the drum in high school band,yes i know,i would have never ever been 25% the drummer he was,yes agree he one of kind,He was on David Letterman Show a few times,saw him way back when He was good,RIP Neal GONE BUT NOT FORGOTTEN
