FIRST TIME REACTING TO Pentatonix - Sing 

DAFT PUNK! Please react to Daft Punk! :) One of things that make being a Pentatonix fan that is so special are the other Pentatholics. They are just such a special group of people. Being one of them is always a joy. The concerts are a blast, not only because PTX rules, but the crowd is wonerful. You'll have everything from goth kids in chains to grandmothers in knitted caps all jamming together. The diversity and energy isn't like any other concert I've ever been to. Okay, I was already a fan, but now you have gone WAY up in my estimation. Some people collect t-shirt when they go places, I collect teddy bears. Show a teddy bear on your channel and I'm there. lol I adore your reactions because you are such a genuinely loving person. We are so much on the same wavelength, spreading the love and joy wherever we can. Every day I try to make at least one person smile. If I can make someone's day a little brighter, then that day has been a success. The thing is, I'm a suicide attempt survivor. I barely survived, and I know I've been give the second chance most people never get. I know from experience that words can save or they can kill. The energy you are putting out is the kind of thing I would have needed when I was in that dark place and I know that someone watching this will be in that dark place themselves. You can honestly be saving lives with the love you put out there. I know that might sound overdramatic, but trust me, it isn't.

There are only 5 members at any one time. Avi was their original bass. He left the group in late 2017 amicably for personal reasons. Then Matt joined the group in 2018 as their new bass. So earlier songs have Avi and songs after 2018 have Matt. That is why it appears they have six members. The word Penta refers to a musical scale that has five notes. That is where their name comes from, “five tones”, Pentatonix. 💕💕

We Pentaholics are definitely a loving and diverse bunch. A lot of that is because Pentatonix as a group and as individuals are such honest, loving, hardworking, accepting people. Love them SO much! Amazing Grace, The Prayer, I Just Called to Say I Love You plus originals Love Again, Coffee in Bed are some awesome ones to add to your list.

The one thing I adore about the big 3 a capella groups is their relationships & closeness with their fans! Im 70 years young and love how much they all appear enjoy & appreciate their fans of all ages! And when they perform live it's FIRE 🔥! So much energy & audience interaction. It's unlike what's usually seen these days. 💕

If you like upbeat, then try Can't Hold Us for another different sound for them. If you like EDM, then try their original Love Again or their Daft Punk Medley. They have an endless supply of Christmas music and one of their most unusual twists on a classic O Come All Ye Faithful (guaranteed you will have a smile on your face and doing some chair dancing).

You should check and see if and when Pentatonix is going to be performing near you, pretty soon. They just finished a tour in Japan and Australia and a few other places, then they’re going to Europe next month and then after that they’re doing the US part of their tour this summer. I’m going to go see them in September in the Bay Area in Northern California.

I loved how much you love their songs! The lyrics are so true - 'Music makes you lose control'. This is one of my favourite of their originals (my favourite is Love again!). Their originals songs are criminally under-rated because they are so well known for their covers and their Christmas music. Their originals should be played continually on the radio and be hit records but they're not - it makes me so cross!

Avi will be in the videos up to about mid 2017 when he left, then they had Matt join them as a "guest" for the Christmas tour that year. He officially joined Jan 2018, & so he will be in all songs/videos from 2018 on.

Saw them once in concert in the Fort Worth Dallas Texas area. The crowd was as diverse as they are. Every color of skin and probably different religions. It was wonderful to see. The crowd was more age diverse than PTX. They are probably 30 and under. The crowd was aged about 5 to 85.

I don't know about anyone else, but Scott whups me upside the face on this one. Man must have a V8 engine in his diaphragm. And don't feel bad about getting choked up. There are always five members, although one of those members changed. As the story goes, Avi Kaplan fell victim to the band’s exhaustive work ethic and concert schedule, particularly at a time when he was needed at home. So he exited the group in 2017 and has since carved out a really nice solo career. Matt Sallee then joined as their new bass singer and brought a whole different aspect of joy and energy to PTX. Older videos will have Avi, newer ones will feature Matt. You, my friend, have brought your own vibe of energy, joy and love to the community, and we thank you. Keep ‘‘em coming! Peace …

Great reaction. This is one of my favorites from PTX, upbeat and just flat out fun! Like they said, just Sing!

There are only every five members - hence PENTAtonix. The only member change was Avi the bass (with a beard in this one) left the group in 2017 for personal reasons (his mum was sick and the gruelling PTX schedule was too much for him). He has an amazing solo career now though. Matt replaced Avi as their bass singer in 2017. The other members - Scott (tall, blonde baritone), Mitch (dark-haired in this one high counter tenor), Kirsten (or Kirstie - rhymes with 'thirsty') and Kevin (beatboxer, tenor singer and cello player) have all been in the group sing the beginning when they formed to enter the Sing-off competition. Kirstie and Mitch and Scott and Mitch have known each other since they were 8 growing up in Texas and the three of them sang together as 'the trio' in high school. Scott saw Kevin playing the cello and beatboxing (celloboxing!) on RU-vid and asked him to join the band and Avi was a friend of a friend who they asked to join. They needed at least five members to enter the contest.

Great reaction, I was dancing around with this song in my head for a week straight and Scott’s vocals gave me a swat. So you can get Mitch-slapped, Kirstie-whipped, and a Scott-swat. You can also go to Kevin-heaven, I haven’t come up with anything for Matt yet but I’m working on it.

...and I'm here today! I figured you need to do an upbeat one, for sure. They sent their song to their followers, so that's why you see a lot of them mouthing the words in this video. PTX is really a group that appreciates their followers because they helped them get to where they are today! Thanks for the shout out...I appreciate it!
