14:27 Imma answer these questions. The first song, Wake Up, Get Up, Get Out There, is the opening for the game. it’s the first thing that plays every time you open the game. The second song, Life Will Change, plays when you’re about to confront a specific boss. The vocal version only plays like twice in the game. usually it’s the instrumental. The third song, Last Surprise, is the regular battle theme. The last song, Rivers in the Desert, is a boss fight theme. when i say “boss” i mean the big boss, but there are two big bosses. I can’t go to far into that without spoiling. It also plays like twice in the game. The mainline Persona games are story based turn-based JRPGS. Persona has a lot of spinoff games that go into other genres, and Persona 4 has two fighting games.
It's also worth noting that the Persona franchise itself is also a spin-off, specifically of the Shin Megami Tensei franchise. SMT came first (despite how some people seem to think it's the other way around, it's not. SMT came first, and Persona was a spin-off of SMT). SMT is also *MUCH* darker and more depressing (happy endings of any sort in SMT are *VERY* rare) than Persona, and Persona is not afraid to tackle some very dark themes (such as suicide).
Worth also mentioning is that Persona 1 and both 2s (Innocent Sin and Eternal Punishment) are a storyline, but P's 3, 4, and 5 are standalone, outside of some wink wink nod nods that is, so if you wanna start at 5, no problem! Also worth noting, is that if you wanna play 3, 4 and 5, I'd say start with 4. This is because of the evolution of the battle system of the games. They took the Press Turn of SMT Nocturn and tweaked in to the Once More that P3-5 use. P3s was the least refined, being basically an experiment really, and each game improved upon it, thus making it kinda... Clunky? Not really the right word but it'll do. The reasoning I'm saying start with 4 is because P3 is getting a remaster version, and they most likely are gonna use the P5 battle system, so I'd go with that version of you can. OG P3 didn't let you control anything about your other party members besides which ones you brought, so the AI did really dumb things at times. One of the biggest improvements from 3 to 4 was being able to control your other party members.
@@Raddkann Last surprise is a much more generic fighting theme in its lyrics. Rivers is the culmination of your entire struggle. The lyrics themselves directly show how it's do or die. Your actions during the fight of almost being beaten at every moment and the one in a million (river in a desert) chance to win. The climax of the game is once the fight's truly started, and I'd say even moreso once it's the royal exclusive part of the fight. The entire story begins with you two, and is about to end with you two. Last Surprise doesn't have the personal lyrics that Rivers does, it's more of a battle theme for the phantom thieves as a whole.
One thing that always impresses me about the singer is that she is a pattie Japanese woman and didn't know English but learned to sing these phonetically. Her voice is amazing
I loved it when they heard the Rivers of the Desert opening, and were thinking "they've got to have gotten a dude to sing this" to match the low tone of the music. Then Lyn just drops those impossibly low notes...
For proper credit, we gotta thank the man behind these songs (alongside Lyn’s vocals) and the OSTs of Persona 3 and 4, the composer if you will. THE Shoji Meguro himself.
All the Persona games have fantastic soundtrack, not gonna lie. Most people are probably gonna be hyping up 3 and 4 as well, but don't sleep on the first two!
Definitely one of the better video game soundtracks. The Final Fantasy VII soundtrack is probably my favourite, but it’s way more down tempo and just beautiful sounding.
These songs are so good I swear, the game is one of my favorites games along with the franchise. If you do more songs, you should definitely do ‘Daredevil’ and ‘Groovy’
All Persona music is great. Even the spin-offs like Q; Q2, Strikers and Tactica go super hard. My favourite Persona song is still "Mass Destruction" from P3, but if you're looking for P5-related recommendations, I would suggest "Take Over" and "Invatation to Freedom". I swear everyone’s suddenly listening to persona music. All of them hit hard But yeah, persona is pretty well known in the JRPG world. Btw, u can find ALL the openings in one video, ya’ll should try it
Welcome to the Persona-craze, where the tracks always come with a video game! As others have pointed out, Persona 3 and 4 also have great bangers but are complete different genres. Persona 5 tracks you should also do: "I believe" (a sequel to "Life will change") and Take Over, the second regular battle theme.
Persona OOZES style and personality and the fun part is that the music adds to the gameplay (especially in P5), if there's a part 2 I'd recommend Whims of Fate, I Believe, Price, Sweatshop, A Woman, Take a Rest Also I'd highly recommend checking out P3 and P4 soundtrack and I have a feeling you'd enjoy the p3 Soundtrack a lot
Though it's Persona 5 (Royal), "I Believe" is one of my favourite persona songs. As well as Persona 3, Fate is in our hands and Mass Destruction remix.
Every persona game has a different singer persona 5 is lyn at the time of singin the persona 5 sound track she didnt know english but had a good sing director
You guys might also enjoy the guilty gear strive OST. It's a fighting game where every character in the roster has their own theme. It's pretty varied in style but typically skews hard rock. Drift, love the suburban self, and extras are some of my favorites.
Please react to Persona 5 Stikers ost like Counterstrike, Daredevil, and You are stronger. They are more on the rock side of Persona, and it's really good.
All the 'newer' (3-5R) persona games have their own musical style, and are pretty good, though I'll admit, I personally like 5's most. The time it came out w\ Nier Automata, I'm not sure which OST i like more, but is a hard call.
I appreciate the difference between the game opening song, "Wake Up, Get Up, Get Out There," which questions why society allows itself to be controlled by bad people of society, and one of the game ending tracks, "Life Will Change," which shows the determination of the protagonists to make change.
Hehehe, this Game has a really good OST, I hope you do the P5 Royal OSTs too at some point. But if not that, perhaps the Metal Gear Rising OST, if you haven’t already?
Man wtf this vid wasn’t in my sub box, I had to click your channel after thinking you guys haven’t uploaded in a min Persona 5’s soundtrack goes insanely hard, I love Persona 5 Royal’s songs too, they’re special
Last year I played P5R and this year P4 and out of anything the OST always sticks with you, it's so iconic you can't not groove to it. Great editing by the way, haven't seen many reaction channels putting this much effort in making the video more entertaining!
Just seeing these, but, if you allow like Rocky songs, I suggest you some Persona 5 strikers songs, "Last surprise (strikers)", "daredevil" and "counter strike"
...There's not a single song in the Persona games that is bad. I will bet money on it. Hell, the game is like, 90 percent dialogue, and you never get tired of it because the music and story is just that good.
Y'all had me vibing with you dancing in my chair smiling and laughing the whole way through this video. Love the energy guys. Great to see you guys enjoyed the songs; it was a blast. Persona 5 has an amazing soundtrack with not a single miss on it, every song is a banger. Funny thing is that people often say that, when you buy a Persona game, you're in fact just buying a fire music album that happens to COME with a videogame lol. Persona 4 has a fantastic OST too, same story for persona 3. It's worth checking them all out and reacting to them!
