I think this settles your next League reaction=^.^=. Porter Robinson is known for doing anime stylede music videos. He made a song with Riot for the Star Guardian Event that went on in League last year. The star guardian lore revolves around a magical girl inspired skinline of League characters. I highly recommend watching „Everything Goes On“ by Port Robinson. For the same event some years earlier Hiroyuki Sawano composed the song for the video cinematic "Light and Shadow" as well. 6 minutes. All they needed was 6 minutes to elicit more emotions than most directors can with 12 episodes, while telling a complete story with a message to tell. Rewatching this 7 years later and it still hits hard. There's a short behind the scenes into the making of this short film, Highly recommend watching even if on your own time.

It's definitely a lonely life, but at least she's entertained with the virtual reality. You might give up. I might too. We don't know unless we were in that situation. But I can see wisdom in her saying she's not lonely: in that her father's sacrifice proved the immense amount of love he had for her, and she knows that she was loved. She feels less lonely after learning what her dad did, instead feeling a strong connection as the memories come back, and Imagine she would continue to lose some of the loneliness every time she thinks of his sacrifice and their memories together. I think it might be a life worth living. You could do so much with the world's she created. She designed a bath to just relax in, as well as a swing, I guarantee you could keep yourself entertained for a life time. Plus, who knows, maybe he uploaded some books or something in there. The reason that it looks so good is that they got one of the biggest anime studios (A1-Pictures) to do the animation for it. That's the studio behind Kaguya-sama (among many other high profile shows) in case you don't recognize them.

Just rewatched Luke's reaction, and every deep sob ended in laughing, because it's absolutely hilarious how devastating and powerful this video is every damn time.

When you said that stories about parents and kids hits you, i immediately thought of this anime movie "Sayonara no asa ni yakusoku no hana wo kazarou", or it's short name "Maquia". It's an absolutely beautiful film that will break your heart, if i could tell you what's about in one phrase, it would be "Parental Love". It's actually one of, if not the best, anime movie i've ever watched.

Porter Robinson made a song for League of Legends and it was entitled "Everything goes on". I wish you can check that too since you are curious about Porter Robinson and you love music from League of Legends. That song was really good and is on par with shelter.

This absolutely blew up when it came out and was highly anticipated when it was being announced. This was during a time where A1 Pictures Studios was DOMINATING the anime industry so when they collabed with a western artist to make a short anime it got the community hyped up. Absolutely beautiful visuals and visual storytelling I also cried like crazy the first time watching that
Porter's music evokes this level of emotion pretty regularly, and his album Worlds is pretty iconic in EDM. His Nurture album helps describe his battles with depression and anxiety that caused a 6 year break in releasing music. Music videos can vary on reactability, but the albums and the solo projects are worth listening to, even the VERY early hardcore stuff for something more fun.
You got most of the story correct but from what i could see is The main character Rin is waking up in a simulation every day. She begins to get extremely bored of what feels like a mundane life but because of the message feature she knows someone is out there and is not lonely and is simultaneously lonely at the same time as she has not received a message in 2500 days. As she begins to question the world shes in she notices a tree swing that she did not create in a field in on contact with the tree gains flashes of her memory that she cannot understand which sends her into darker emotions detailed by the change in the scenery she is able to create, going from bright fields to dark forests. Just as her emotions hit a all time low the tablet used to control her world begins loading a pre programmed sequence that unlocks all her locked away memories and she finally receives the message she has been waiting for all this time letting her know even though times are hard and you may want to give up to know you are not alone and there is a meaning to it all.
PORTER ROBINSON! FINALLY, on this channel! One of my favorite artists out there! More from him i could recommend: "Goodbye to a world", "Look at the sky", "Something comforting", "Mirror", or "Blossom". Very specific vibes with his music.

Shelter always brings back a wave of nostalgia for me for some reason. Man having already seen Shelter so long ago didn't think this would make me tear up again. It's the way when she's really little in an oversized kimono, it's so damn adorable, they really play with your emotions man. A beautiful sad song and video, it's what made me fall in love with Porter Robinsons music.
No matter how many times I have watched this music video, I become a mess crying. 2:11 exactly when you called it, it shows how powerful music can be because you feel it and even if your mind hasn't fully caught up, it takes you there. Beautiful all around. From the animation, to the score and lyrics. Everything just works together to evoke strong feelings. Just love it, even if I start crying every time as the score starts.
Portor Robinsons Music Videos aren't all anime, reason this one is, is because he went to Japan and did a collaberation with A1 Pictures (anime studio) and Crunchyroll. Robinson's songs are so good though and really helped a lot of people who are questioning themselves. Shelter is literally my favorite RU-vid video of all time. Take it from someone who's seen it a million times, this video will never not make you cry. The spaceship was the shelter he built to protect her body. The VR simulation was the shelter he built to protect her mind. The memories of his love were the shelter he made to protect her heart. cant tell you how hype this was when it first dropped. porter and madeon have been friends since highschool and it was a collab waiting to happen. was fans of both for nearly a decade, madeon was still new and a teenager. Theyve come so far, i love how they inspire eachother. -
Sadly, from the comments I read, not a lot of people are talking about Madeon here. Madeon is so not talked about in Shelter, its criminal to me. Madeon is so flipping amazing, I am in disbelief nobody wrote anything about him (as far as I read). The madlad made bonkers music at the age of 16! Both porter and madeon are pretty amazing but I lean towards the music madeon makes. And madeon's music videos have easter eggs sometimes! Well the early ones did. Anyway, I just wanted to shout out Madeon for his amazing work as well! lol And yes, both porter and madeon love each other's work. I am not sure about friend's from highschool, but they did start their career around the same time I think which is pretty young and porter has been seen commenting on madeon's music lol

I was watching shelter this came up recommended. And I’m glad I watched the whole thing. I’d been listening to Porter for a decade. A lot of his music is emotional and touching. And I remember seeing this video and being moved by it. Maybe a tear. Years later. I have two sons. And this video pops back up. I full blown sobbed. You have kids and you just put yourself there. The child becomes your kid and you the parent and you just can’t even bare it. Just the thought makes you wanna crawl up in a corner. Good video. If you wanna do another Porter song that I love. Find the fan animated video for his song “mother”. Obviously it’s about mother but he’s said the song was about both parents. It also just destroys me just like shelter. And is a beautiful song.

Porter Robinson also goes by virtual self and a lot of his songs are amazing but shelter is a masterpiece. What I would do to be able to rewatch this for the very first time 😢.

Yeah, it hit everyone of us, when we saw it... Actually still hits me everytime I watch it. But always remember: "It's okay to cry." That's what music and movies are supposed to do to us. Those emotions they dwell up inside us are what they are made for. It speaks for the creators that they can achieve that, especially on repeated watchings. You know it's coming, but you can't stop it from happening. That's the real stuff... That's what's special. That's what we need. And that's why we do it over and over again.
Now that I have a reason to watch Shelter again (still hurts my heart) I realized that it has a technology that we just recently have access to, an app where you can draw shapes and the AI will fill in the textures and landscapes.
Man the power of this music video. I haven't watched the music video in years but I have been listening to the song in the meantime and didn't cry while listening. But watching this reaction and seeing the music video again somehow got me shedding a tear even though I had no intention of crying. Something in my brain switched when those last couple minutes kicked in and I suddenly started tearing up even though I knew what was going to happen it still got me. Absolute masterpiece

I also discovered Shelter very late, last summer and I can tell you I was a mess for hours after it and tortured myself with rewatching it again and again. Amazing storytelling in such a short time. Thanks for the great and emotional reaction! This is a bit out of the blue, but I wanted to recommend the band Mrs. Green Apple to you, notably the two songs "Inferno" and "Soranji". I think you would enjoy them a lot. They have many, many more amazing songs, but I think those two would be an amazing start for you. Inferno is just an amazing pumped song and also the opening of the anime Fire Force, while Soranji is an emotionally packed and musically beautiful song with a stuningly filmed music video (it was also used in a japanese movie but I don't know much about the plot).

When I first watched this I had my first daughter. And this video absolutely floored me. I knew then and there exactly what that dad was going through I could feel it in my bones. And to know she was all alone I couldn't help but break. I'm so glad a fellow dad could feel the same emotions I too experienced. Funnily enough my second daughter comes alone and absolutely loves this song. I didn't have the heart to tell her it's a very emotional song for me so we often have it blasting in the car 😂. Another recommendation for you, hitting the parenting and child story line and may or may not make you cry is an anime movie from a while ago. Wolf Children. It's a good one to watch, on or off stream. It's bittersweet and touches on the idea of letting go.

Im so surprised to see a Porter Robinson video from you. Im a huge fan of his in the world of "Emotional" EDM. And shelter is the work of art that introduced me to him. Really loved your reaction, the same that I've felt when I first saw it. These are in the side of EDM, so these may be different from what some of you are used to.

So recently i recommended a song called Humansongs by Po-uta which is a vocaloid that Porter Robinson created in one of your previous videos. But as to more songs by Porter Robinson i would recommend Musician and for Madeon i want to recommend Pay No mind i think you would love all of these songs.
