"Mortynight Run" is the second episode of the second season of the Adult Swim animated television series Rick and Morty. Written by David Phillips and directed by Dominic Polcino, the episode premiered on August 2, 2015, though it was leaked online beforehand. After dropping Jerry at a daycare purpose-built for alternate universe versions of Jerry, Rick sells a gun to the assassin Krombopulos Michael, but Morty decides to save his target-a telepathic gas-based entity.

the fact that morty had to kill like hundreds of people to save some fart that wanted to destroy all life lmao. i think this might be the point in the series where morty's sense of morality starts to crack.

The whole point of the end scene with Jerry getting mixed up meant Jerry’s are replaceable and insignificant but people kept making theories about it. It still means nothing today.

@@jeremybottoms7619 yeah and the point still stood. It was fan service. The only thing it did in the later season was make Jerry appreciate his current family. The point this episode made is Jerry’s are replaceable and everyone instead made rabid theories about the ramifications of it and there were still none.

Personally I feel you go too hard on that 'cuck' stuff. In the actual episode anatomy park it makes sense, but all the time... Morty and Rick both responsible for lots of death here, and Rick showing how much of a douche he is by how he treats "gearhead", not even knowing his name. Be honest here, who thinks they would fare any better being dumped onto an alien world they can't communicate with?
