I am 65 and stumbled across him about 8 months ago. He is the most consequential artists I have ever seen.

Every song you hear by Ren is a gold mine! Hi Ren is a great starter and then go from there. Sick Boi is great to get an understanding of his various thoughts and where he comes from.

What did Ren do for me, why am I hooked 💯? I started with Hi Ren then The Tales, I was blown away because I had never seen anything like them. Some how I started watching reaction videos to him and they gave me great joy to know that in what seems like a hopelessly divided world we all can relate to so much. Ren opens up conversations that, to me, show that we are much more alike than the mass media would like us to believe. Then his 1 million subscribers video came out. I have loved him like a grandchild ever since. Im 62 and will be a fan for the rest of my life. ❤

REN is a true Maestro. I love him so much, I never thought I would feel this way about an artist ever again since music became so dominated by money and fame. Every REN song and its performance is crafted so masterfully. Most are one takes too 🤯. My interpretation of the clip: the butcher pig is the pharmaceutical industry that is not looking for a cure and the more side effects you get the more medication you need, thus leading into the self destruction behaviours of bleeding for wealth and the destruction of selling ones self (artistically). As you continue down the Ren rabbit hole you will see how deep and unique he is. I personally think he is one of the best things to have happened to the performance arts this decade.

My suggestion after you react to The Tales of Jenny and Screech, is “Chalk Outlines” with Chinchilla. Ren has called Chinchilla his musical sibling. At one time, they were each with the same management. That’s no longer the case, but they kept a good working relationship, and remain close friends. I was introduced to Chinchilla through their collaborations, and together, they are a force to be reckoned with. Yet again, another completely different side to Ren and his talents. Have a listen for yourself. 😊

Our favourite sick boi letting out all his frustrations from being misdiagnosed for years (and throwing in some truths about the state of the world too for good measure 😅). I think a good follow up is one of my personal favourites: Crutch feat. Bibi. It’s an older song from before Ren was finally correctly diagnosed with Lyme disease and was written after a breakdown following multiple emergency trips to the hospital. If Sick Boi is the expression of built up frustrations, Crutch is the early fear from not knowing what’s happening to him.

He said “Feel free to press 'dispute claim' and it’ll all be approved and get rid of the copyright claim for you”. He supports Reactors.

Rest assured that there is plenty of examples of happy cheeky Ren songs to discover in the rabbit hole as well as the heavier more hard hitting message driven ones. Chalk outlines, how to be me, tale of Jenny and Screech trilogy (long video), Genesis are good starts 🙏 Since you seem to enjoy realness and artistry I think you would love another artist by the name of NF if you haven’t heard of him already. Some of the best story telling and production out there and keeps it 100% real. Would start with Mansion and move through his catalog if you choose to go down his rabbit hole because his songs build on and reference his previous tracks quite a bit. You tend to like the capitalistic side of things. You should do Jenny and Screech first, then maybe chalk outlines but before you go into things like the hunger which shows a different side as well I suggest the money game trilogy in three separate parts, unlike the tale which is done in one part

Ren's still chronically ill, still in constant pain etc. You seemed to be under the impression that it's all in the past. It isn't. He's better than he was when his physical illnesses were being misdiagnosed as mental illnesses, being told it was all 'in his head. This is actually the subject of the first half of this song. However, although he's now able to have a life, he's still seriously sick. He's spent the last 18 months in Calgary, Canada, undergoing a whole range of experimental treatments and procedures, 5 days a week, in an attempt to repair some of the damage to his body and brain.
