Keanu used to originally only play dumb and stoner characters. You probably never saw that era and only know the times he was known as a great actor. People actually thought he was like the characters he played. People were actually blown away when he started playing action and dramatic roles and blew it out of the water. Proving he is a great actor. Even though this was made after he was known as a great actor, they are playing with that image of him.

The joke here with Hilary Swank was right after she won an oscar for Boys Don't Cry (where she played a trans man, hence the 'I'm a girl, you know' line) . She went up to accept her award and forgot to thank her husband at the time, who the camera panned to during her speech and it was very clear that he was offended she forgot him.

😂😂😂 celebrity jeopardy is one of the best sketches that always delivered. The ones with Norm Macdonald as Burt Reynolds are worth a reaction!

How do you not know who Sean Connery is? For one, he's the greatest James Bond 007 ever.

The entire Celebrity Jeopardy SNL series makes fun of celebrities, because there have been real Celebrity Jeopardy episodes where the amount earned went to charity. Great concept, but it also exposed quite a few celebrities as not being the brightest of people. So much so that Jeopardy put in a mercy rule that guaranteed a minimum amount of donations even if the celebrities didn’t get many answers correct. Keanu Reeves was famous for playing Ted in Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure. Ted was lovable, but not the brightest bulb on the tree. The way he is being portrayed in this show was coping his Ted character. Unfortunately for Keanu, this stuck with him for a long time. Connery is in almost every one of these skits and he torments ‘Alex Trebeck’ in every one of them, usually with sexual innuendos.

Connery is famous for playing James Bond.

I'm guessing they made Hilary Swank have those huge teeth, bc they were making fun of her then oversized teeth. I am also shocked you don't know who Sean Connery is. He has been in James Bond, notably one of if not the best James Bond ever, as well as a virtual ton of Oscar-winning and nominated movies, The Hunt for Red October, The Rock, Indiana Jones, Dr. No, Untouchables, Highlander, From Russia With Love, Dragonheart, and Robin Hood Men in Tights. He is one of the "greats" 1 of only a handful of actors that was "Classically Trained" in Theater prior to becoming a Movie actor. You can generally tell someone who has been classically trained as they tend to have a much better "stage presence" than non-classically trained actors. Also, why is the video clip we are watching backward?

The running joke for this skit was that celebrities get a "dumbed down" game compared to regular Jeopardy contestants. They just go extreme in these skits. The Connery thing was probably just a cast member who did an okay Connery impression so they decided to make him and Trebek hate each other, no reason needed! Lol

The joke of this is in the actual celebrity jeopardy more often then not the celebrities were dumb as a rock. Sean Connery was the first James Bond & a notorious ladies man. Hillary Swank played a transgender in the movie Boys Don’t Cry. In Keanu Reeves early career he always played the dumb surfer type.

Hillary Swank played in Freedom Writers based on true story. I can’t see your screen very well but her teeth are very straight and pretty, just big I guess and she has a big smile. She played a trans boy/girl in “Boys don’t Cry” based on real story about Brandon Teena/Tina Brandon. She also played the female boxer in movie w/Clint Eastwood but idk the name. And she played the “New Karate Kid” a long time ago when Ralph Machio got too old I guess. The movie “Dangerous Minds” wasn’t based on a real story as far as I know but it definitely feels true about how nobody cares about inner city schools or what happens to the kids. Michelle Pfeiffer was the teacher/ex-marine in it. The song “Gangsters Paradise” was written for it. Sean Connery was Irish I think and played the original & best James Bond, but that would have been in the 70’s I think. You should surprise your hubby and rent a James Bond movie from each of the actors who played James Bond! Then y’all can vote on the best Bond! (Its Connery, but they are fun to watch!) I think there were 4, but I am old 😊. Have fun! If y’all like movies, it’s fun to do stuff like that…a bed, a big bowl of popcorn & a theme night…a very cool date night in my opinion, but again, I am old😊 💕🙏🇺🇸

The joke is these are all smart good people so making them look silly turns the tables.

Sean Connery was a British actor, thus the fake British accent, Keanu Reeves used to be a one dimensiona actorl until he did The Matrix, and Jimmy Fallon portrayed Hilary Swank because none of the actresses on SNL at the time wanted to play the part.
