This is easily one of my top Japanese songs of all time. I immediately put it on my playlist after hearing this song from the movie. Also love the mv specially the rooftop scene and the ending where he plays the piano and only depends on his voice with no recording.

Radwimps original drummer (Yamaguchi Satoshi) went on hiatus because of musical dystonia. Right now they have two drummers that are taking his place. REACT TO OSHAKASHAMA BY THEM ALREADY.

Radwimps also made an English version of this song, if you react to that you'll also get to understand the lyrics. It's a remarkably good translation too (although there is one line in the original that I love but which wasn't quite conveyed in English - but that's a nitpick)

For sure unpredictable ending for this movie, especially when its not your first Shinkai Makoto movie and you know that he likes to cut the endings early to let them be more bittersweet and not your typical good endings.

You survived the urge of crying! Had you read proper lyrics, you would've been in a total mess!! This song is about finding hope in this world, where everyone is indifferent and "turn away from the concept of courage, hope or bonds". It perfectly matches Hina's situation. In the final chorus the lyric becomes a positive sentence, "There is still something that love can do. There is still something that I can do." A pure masterpiece.

They used to have a drummer but he got injured or something. I don't know if they parted ways but even with two drummers, they always display three members (vocal, guitar, bass) on everything; posters, thumbnails, interviews, etc, and almost never with the drummers. But the two same drummers are always present even on live concerts and tours. If you want to see their old drummer, please watch "September-san" on their channel, it's the live concert one.

You have the official MV on their channel and my fav version with the MV made for One Piece release of Vol 100/ep 1000 on One Piece channel. Day 135 of recommending the Beyblade openings. There are the Japanese ones and the English ones. The English version has one opening for a generation, and that for the 1st and 2nd generation. The 3rd gen has one op for one season. But the Japanese version has multiple ops for a season in any gen. You should definitely check both versions out. I made playlists on my channel, so you don't need to search, cause in those compilations are a few off and not in the correct order. Thanks for checking out!

It might be a controversial opinion, but I found Weathering with You was better than Your Name and Suzume, and RADWIMPS were a great part of it, along with the amazing animation. I will NEVER tire of that fireworks scene 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍 And I don't like fireworks IRL at all xD

For me i felt it was quite anti climatic and I also found the down side of the main character quite a turn off, hence how the ending contrasts kimi no na wa qhich I like a lot more as a result. Definitely the best song from the anime though.

Imho Weathering with you was carried by the visuals and music. I find the characters and the storytelling took quite a step down compared to Your name.
