When MTV first started out, Frank Beard (without a beard) called the other 2 and said check out this channel. They decided to take a chance and made a trio of videos featuring their Eliminator car. The videos became very popular and MTV skyrocketed due in part to ZZ Top. This also catapulted ZZ Top even further in their career

Back in the 80's I was invited to go see ZZ Top at the Forum in Los Angeles. I was blown away regarding how entertaining and talented these guys are. They put on a great show.
Just a little factoid .... the brunette woman in the white dress is Jeana Tomasino/Keough .. model, actress, former Playboy Playmate and on the Real Housewives of Orange County.
Got to see them live in 1975, they were really new on the scene then, their first couple albums were very rock/blues oriented, this is from their rebranded 80's look (which was great also), and also save them in concert a few years ago for their 50th anniversary tour when Dusty was still alive - RIP. Someone may have commented on this already, the classic antique car in the video is one of several owned by guitarist Billy Gibbons.
