Always surprises around every corner yep! Love this one! I've probably mentioned it before but just in case, my wife and I saw them twice back to back in Texas last year and, even though they can't bring their huge production on the road, the trade off is (if you have extra money "vip tickets" and time "get in line hours before the show" you get an experience you can't get there .. you get very close to the stage! In Dallas we were maybe ten feet from Moa most the night and the amount of personal crowd interaction they did was wild! They truly do work extremely hard for their fans and its so evident they truly appreciate and love it! And man, their stage presence in person, especially that close, is almost something you feel! They are truly a marvel!
Great reaction. And here you see why Su is not a J-pop singer as some of the more cluless critics sometimes try to paint her as. Her voice cuts through metal like an oxy-torch. It's like a solo violin in an orchestra. If Su wanted to be a J-pop singer she could have been, but she would have had to tone down the power of her voice significantly. Su is a metal singer who was born to sing to metal. Su is like Ozzy Osbourne, she is know and loved for her unique tone rather than her technique.
From Dusk Til Dawn is an amazing song, but this video is from two of the three live performances of it that they have ever done, so it's very rarely performed. The song only appears on the international version of the Metal Resistance album. The Japanese version has the song Syncopation, which is a banger too. Koba thought that Syncopation was "too Japanese" for the international audience, so they put FDTD on it instead. I think that overall fans like Syncopation more. I don't know if you noticed, but this song was all in English. It's one of only four Babymetal songs sung entirely in English.

Thanks for watching this suggestion. Although it looks like a new song from previous album and we only got this proshot version from 2021, song it's actually from Metal Resistance released in 2016 and becomes one of the underrated tracks but hidden gem for some more fans. This song was performed along with Syncopation in the middle of setlist during Doomsday III and IV, it got that epic and ethereal vibes and it shows a mature side in BM second album, Metal Resistance. Both songs are part of that album, only thing is FDTD was released for international market and Syncopation only locally, of course is another suggestion for next reaction. This is a long time waited proshot version for the fans, song was pushed to be performed again after many years and being played only one time at Hollywood Paladium in 2017 while on US tour when YuiMetal was still in the group, sadly for copyright disputes that proshot version never saw the light and we only have fancams of that. Thankfully they performed this in 2021 at 10 Babymetal Years Budokan, and surprised everyone with this astonishing and beautiful production. Momoko Okazaki (now MomoMetal) was the avenger helping to fill the third spot and she did a great job. Also the English lyrics is a little bit more clear thanks to Papa Xan from BMRR although this one is a fan edit with another English translation, but we don't have official lyrics yet, is one out of four songs with full English lyrics. Like someone said before, MoaMetal is like a body subtitles for this song. Love that dubstep or brostep breakdown, is a genre widely know and popular around 2015 thanks to Skrillex among others, he actually become very good friend with BM and even invite them to perform during a Skrillex show in Japan playing a remix version of Gimme Chocolate!! Su-Metal's high vocals are so clean I watch From Dusk Till Dawn at least three times before I realized Su was actually singing in the beginning I thought it was a synth or some other kind of instrument making those notes

One of my fav BM songs And yea i wouldnt really wanna see Babymetal at most venues. After seeing them perform in Japan i dont think anywhere else would do them justice they deserve.
Yeah guys. This is one of my favorite songs from Babymetal. I also like "iine" and prefer the 2023 PIA arena version. The song is very happy and diverse with displaying different genres and it is one of the orginal Babymetal songs! Watching them as very young teenagers and then seeing them now singing it will bring a smile to your face and your chest swell with pride as most Babymetal fans after seeing the girls grow up many fans are very protective of the girls. It's like they are family.
I don't remember how it went exactly right now, but I think Babymetal announced a competition, paraphrasing: the 10 most popular songs by votes, will be performed live at the 10 years anniversary concerts. And a huge number of people voted this song, exactly because it had no official Blu-ray release with that song on it. Turns out, the reason was the song was in a sort of copyright limbo, because Babymetal worked with Warner Bros. on a series which they didn't complete, they separated because of creative differences. The song had only been performed live in LA and while they did have expensive 8k or even 16k resolution cameras that recorded it, it was never released, probably same reason. So Babymetal had to buy the copyright for the song from Warner Bros. and performed the song at the 10 year anniversary. So saying, it's not that popular, might not be true. It's at least popular enough for LOST of fans to vote on it, so it would be performed live again.
Funny you mentioned Indian at the start. Sounds like you should do Shanti Shanti Shanti next, BUT please do the LIVE version as the Official Music Video has tooooo much Kaleidoscope effects which completely wastes the amazing choreography the girls do. 🤘🦊🤘
I wholeheartedly agree. From Dusk Till Dawn and Tales of the Destinies blow my mind no matter how many times I see them. Maybe because their live performances are so rare that they stand out to me but boy, do these ladies know how to absolutely nail a performance. I saw them at the Melbourne show, which was only a small venue with none of the special light show or pyrotechnics of the Japanese concerts and I still rate it as the best concert I’ve ever witnessed. Babymetal connect with their fans in a way that no one seems to be able to do (don’t let the Swifties hear me say that).

They released a new video with Electric Callboy at midnight Friday in Japan and it's already pushing 3 million views and every reactor on the planet seems to be blown away by it (as am I) it's just a summer groove you need to hear guy's (RATATATA) but thank you for this, as I say this is amazing and the interplay between Su and Moa's singing is perfect and Su's highs are impossible to comprehend, I think your comparison to sirens is more than fitting. 🤘🤘🤘🦊🦊🦊

Nice one, thanks! I always say that one of Su-metal's strengths is her ability to sing virtually anything. She could have been a huge pop star in Japan but Koba had other plans. And we will be eternally grateful to her for embracing his crazy idea and becoming a global metal goddess. "From Dusk Till Dawn" is a rarity in every possible aspect. Musically: it's a rare combination between dream trance and metal, it's fully in English, Su uses falsetto for those high notes, etc. It's also rare if we consider its live performances: the song premiered live in 2017 at Hollywood Palladium but they never released footage from that show due to some weird copyright issues and never performed it again until these two concerts at the Budokan in 2021... and then, never performed it again till date.

Guys another great Babymetal reaction. I can't believe that there are some people out there who complain about Babymetal, basically because that put on such a production? I thought you both did a great job of puttnig into perspective what a show like this says about how Babymetal feels about it's fans. And-can't let this get by-sounds like the siren's call that would lure sailros to their death! Su's voice is so mesmerizing. In an odd way what you just said may be the most descriptive metaphor I've heard to try and describe Su's haunting vocals. Great job!

Heck yeah, one of my favourite Babymetal songs! I get goosebumps all over my body every time I listen to it and I have seen that particular performance 100 times. Btw ticket prices for those Babymetal shows are very reasonable (last time I saw them in March I paid about 120 €), probably because ticketmaster can’t sell them xd. After that conversation about fan appreciation, you may be ready to hear "TheOne" This is what Babymetal refers to as its fanbase, but it is more than that. In a performance, the crowd follows the cues of Momo and Moa (Scream and dance positions) when to jump, chant, scream, sing, crouch down, jump up, spin a towel, mosh, and so on. . . .This crowd (flash mob) behavior is built into the songs from conception. They have stated only when the band and the girls get the feedback and energy back from the audience does a performance become "Babymetal".. . . .Thus they view their fans as part of the group. All for one, one for all. . .TheOne The group was so touched by foreign fans learning the choreo and Japanese Lyrics to their songs, they decided to write a song to the fans and sing it all In English. A love song to their fans so to speak. I first recommend the intro called "Tales of the Destinies". It is far their most progressive song with 40 changes of time signature (and yes the girls can still dance to it! References to Dream Theater and other progressive groups, it was originally one song with TheOne. It is very complicated to stage and play. . thus it has only been performed once at Tokyo Dome in 2016 to 55k one of two sold out nights. After that video I recommend the official video for the One and the staging of that one is unbelievable! There are many other versions you can check out later. . . .Also Shanti Shanti Shanti has Indian musical influence and lyrics. Avoid the Glastonbury video as the sound is a little suspect. Babymetal as a group have just gotten better and better over the years. They started as a cute idol type group, and now after so many years they are a trio of nearly perfect musicians and performers. As you have noted basically everything they do is so professional and perfect. With that being said, you REALLY need to make a video on some of their collabs they have done in the last few years. Their song with Bring me the horizon is amazing. Their new song with Electric Callboy is basically perfection too. You should watch BMTH's live video of their collab. The thing I love about these collabs they do as it seems like they open up a bit in a way, you see them smiling and having fun compared to their stone cold professionalism! OH and by the way, since you are doing Japanese rock you would be doing yourself a disservice if you don't watch the live performance of Unravel by Ado. She's a Japanese singer who has blown up to be one of Japan's greatest talents. Her version of the song Unravel from the anime Tokyo Ghoul is beautiful and haunting. She like Baby metal, is one of the few artist who are genuinely better live than in their studio recordings. Please check these out, you wont regret it.
Nice reaction. This is a perfect example of Su's incredible voice. Born with more talent than humanly possible. and here showing off the skills she learned along her life journey around the world. And don't forget that Moa was singing in there too. And easily she blended in with Su. a reason Koba wanted Moa in Babymetal was for that compatible voice. One of these days they're going to have to make Moa show off just how good of a singer she really is. Moa doesn't often take lead during their shows but when she does. She always WOWs the crowd. This whole song was in English too. But good luck trying to get folks to agree on what she was singing. I hope someday someone will ask her in an interview. Or Koba at least. On the whole that an amazing performance. And another reason why I say the Foxhole is deep and full of surprises.

Don't be so shy. Honestly, well... Not sarcasm. Exactly exactly. The sign of the fox and all that... P.S. Or you simply have the talent of Mozart to immediately understand the melody and structure of a piece of music you heard for the first time, and I am wrong in my judgments.
FYI she's never said anything like that, it's an unfounded rumor that pops up occasionally in RU-vid comments. If she does physical training while singing, naturally it would be the choreography she actually has to perform while singing it in concert.
