5:34 For the metaphor in Jisoo's part all the journalists were looking at her image of the popular artist on the wall and no one was looking at the real person she was, but once she fell down (made mistakes) every one is accusing and targeting her personally, forgetting about her perfect image. It shows the toxicity of music industry, how idols are supposed to be perfect and once they make mistakes everyone is criticising them.
3:32 yes, *ROSÉ* 🌹is considered the golden voice of Korea, she is the main vocalist of BLACKPINK and is the most complete and integral member of the group since she plays piano and guitar professionally and writes her own songs, she also speaks perfect native English, she is the soloist Kpop female with the most successful and best-selling album in history, won more than 38 music awards with her solo album and is the only singer on the planet to be # 1 on the BILLBOARD 200 as a solo artist and as a member of a group.
Look at the Coachella performance of this song. Live band, very rock feel. And maybe not be so polite. Dig into the tricks and hooks and triteness of this kind of music, even when executed at the highest level.
I think you should check their B sides to get more substance and experimental sounds from them - Kick it (interesting musical formation) - You never know (has violin and almost feels like an orchestra song with a twist and modern edge) - Love to hate me (vocals and the beats are amazing). - Crazy over you (a very exotic unusual sound). and Lovesick girls . Jennie and Jisoo wrote the song. and Jennie helped produce it. It's such a heavy emotional song with a bittersweet feeling to it. I can't describe it to you to be honest.
Blackpink in your area! 🖤💗 Subscribed, notifications on, liked, and commenting for Blackpink 😁 You may find their debut songs in 2016 "Boombayah" and "Whistle" interesting. Another suggestion is "How You Like That" 😁
Thank you for reacting to Blackpink. As many of other comments have suggested, please do a reaction to their Coachella performance of this song and also the Encore remix (Tokyo dome). Another fun video would be to see a rockremix from you of one of Blackpinks songs 😁😁 Looking forward to more of your reactions to Blackpink 🖤💜
Thanks for the reaction perhaps you should look at some Rock covers by Rosé. I think her voice is particularly suited to Rock, perhaps Oasis "Don't look back in anger", The Killers "Read my mind" or John Mayer's "Slow dancing in a burning room"
*I really appreciate your reacts àbout my girls. You really point out every second when you find something amazing or what. Not like those other reactors who only does head bobbing and say nothing. Feels like we're learning a lot from a professional. Thank you and God bless Mr. Barret.* *Can you also please do react to their How You Like That song? Thank you!*
Blackpink music video views easily get 80-100 million views within 24 hr period easily. A lot of their song is in the 1 billion + view marks. They are the biggest girl group in the world not just in south korea. No american singer comes near in youtube music videos as them.
I am so glad that you have not lost the condescension displayed in your Pink Venom reaction. And the smirks. Your musical tastes are obviously so much better than ours... 'KPOP' after all. Thank you for suffering through something so beneath you that we can so benefit from your superior insights. Not because you're suddenly getting some views as a result LOL.
BP is definitely engineered in every aspect to grab views and they execute it with precision. I know what their company is doing but goddamn is it effective and I absolutely love BP.
I liked your reaction here. Most viewed M/V they have and you didn't just gush over it for the sake of clicks. While still being able to appreciate the team of hard working artists it takes to put something as colossal as this together. Something you might want to check out. DDU DU DDU DDU REMIX Encore Tokyo Dome, this combines their edm styling with a live band and a less formal dance / formation style.
A girl needs a tank sometimes, she bought it.😁 Great talents. Please reactvto (G) I-dle's, OH My God, And Lion. They are most diverse artistically , stylistically of their generation.
The lead rapper you pointed out at 3:08 is Lisa and she is indeed very talented. The main rapper, Jennie is also very talented which you will notice after the first chorus.
Please watch the live version of this at Tokyo dome. It’s easy to think they are just a pop group with high production. These girls are the real deal. I hey do not need the gimmicks!
I was just like you I am old-school rock ‘n’ roll I’ve been playing guitar since 1969 you might want to go into a rabbit hole with this one because they’re camaraderie and their Humble generosity is just a beautiful thing. They are great people I hope you like them please check out unhelpful guide 2019 they love their fans more than anything😀 so funny I could go on.
if you like rock, see ddudduddu version alive in coachella or the encore remix version, with a real rock band, you cant believe how much improve the same song, but with electric guitar.... their blown the show....is just an humble recomendation....
*REACT MORE TO BLACKPINK* (music videos) - KILL THIS LOVE (MV) - HOW YOU LIKE THAT (MV) - AS IF ITS YOUR LAST (MV) - BOOMBAYAH (MV) - WHISTLE (MV) - PLAYING WITH FIRE (MV) - LOVESICK GIRLS (MV) - ICE CREAM (MV) - STAY (MV) *BLACKPINK SOLOS* - SOLO (MV) JENNIE - ON THE GROUND (MV) ROSÉ - GONE (MV) ROSÉ - LALISA (MV) LISA - MONEY (DANCE VIDEO) LISA
I've followed BlackPink since their beginning (because I was a fan of BigBang and 2NE1). But at heart I'm an old Rocker. So... you REALLY need to check out Band Maid; old school hard rock with a new flair. Extremely dedicated fanbase. If you react to them, be prepared for the Maidiacs. Po! Try Domination- Official live video (or any official live video)
If you want to hear rock sound in K-pop, listen to Dreamcatcher's PIRI. In general, K-pop refers to Korean idol music. It is a different area from Korean rock bands.
Each member is a star in their own right outside of the group, but Jisoo, the one holding the umbrella with sparks in the background in this video, has so far stuck to acting. Whist she has done a few solo covers in BP's concerts, to many peoples frustration i'm sure, she still has not released any solo original music. She even said in her Rolling Stones interview that the pressure of releasing a song is massive. What she is mainly torn between is whether to make a song that is personal to her, be that in content or structure, or one that is i kinda expected of her.
Checkout Rose’s solos and covers. She doesn’t get the respect as a vocal in the kpop industry because of the swag and power the group brings. But she’s 1/1 in KPOP. No one’s like her!
I’d just like to say I really appreciate you putting judgment aside and still checking out the Pinks. Along with your honesty up front saying this is not your type of music I could see it in your expressions and overall reaction. Not saying this as a bad comment on you because you still found positive things to say without feeling the need to throw shade even though it’s not your taste. I was gonna suggest not forcing a reaction if you can’t find some enjoyment in it but before you give up I’d like to suggest this same song but the live performance at Coachella. Their concerts are performed with an American band called the Band Six and gives a definite rock vibe. Not saying it’ll change your thoughts on the type of music but might make it more palatable. Maybe give it a try
The rapper “lisa” rapper with the hair bangs speak 5 languages. Fluently in 3 languages: english, thai and korean. Advanced in japanese and basic in chinese. Majority of the other members can speak 3 languages.
I think you'd enjoy "Kill This Love" by BP. You probably stated in your first BP reaction what sorts of music you enjoy, and perhaps we could get you diff suggestions based off that. =)
Question: Rocker? The J-Rock girls' group who saved Rock n Roll worldwide, Band-Maid song "Dommination (Official Live Video). P.S. Not the music video, MUST be Live:) Band-Maid is fun and tight, tight, tight rock band:)
Please 🙏 react to Rose songs. Please Start with" Gone" and Eyes closed (it's a Cover) both are full English song . More vocal focused. They're totally different from any blackpink song.
Question 1: I wanna listen some of your work, you said you’re a rocker, metal? Alternative? Where I can find them? Something you made or sang? Question 2:Can you try some other K-pop song?Like Psycho by Red Velvet, still a girl group, but their music isn’t too pop-py Question 3:Is it because the glasses or what your eyes are HUUUUGE
Please make reaction on blackpink " How you like that " for me it's no 1 song of blackpink ! That's an addictive song ! The music beats are just awesome!
I'd be interested to see your reaction to one of BTS earlier songs - since you're into rock. Pls checkout "Boy In Luv" or if you prefer to hear them with a live band you can react to their Tiny Desk Concert video. Also the BTS Room Live FESTA 2021 is a very popular reaction video - where they perform medley of their music and showcase their versatility.
I’m not a big fan of this particular song, but I do love their early songs, WHISTLE and BOOMBAYAH. More playful in the latter and more wistful in the former. Of course, my fave and what got me into them is AS IF IT’s YOUR LAST. Great bubblegum pop. I could chew thru a whole pack listening just to that song. Those three I think are quite good and helped put them on the map. Anyway, I’m a rock guy too at 53 with groups like Ozzy, Kiss, Anthrax, AC/DC, Floyd, Clapton, but I can appreciate good pop. And much of k-pop is very good pop. Instead of just fixating on BP or BTS, if you’re going to check out k-pop, check out other earlier groups like Bigbang (ex: Fantastic Baby) or 2NE1 (ex: I Am The Best). 2NE1 is the inspiration for BP iirc and they broke major ground for girl groups in Korea. Or don’t react to Kpop and just stick to rock. You do come across as tired and sound like you’re forcing yourself. Take a few tips from your friend who originally recommended BP to you (I saw his reaction and he’s got the right attitude) and relax a bit. :) Having said all that, Jrock (aka Japanese rock and metal) might get your blood flowing much more. May I recommend two acts? One is BANDMAID, a hard rock/kinda metal all-female group. They play their own instruments and even JIMMY effin’ PAGE has praised them! The other jrock band (or rather jmetal) band is MAXIMUM THE HORMONE. A cross between Korn, System of a Down, Red Hot Chili Peppers with the humor of Primus., they can blow your ears clean off. Anyway, just some constructive remarks, I hope!
