Only band invited to perform at the VMAs that wasn’t nominated for anything. Incredible group of sisters!

They walk the walk. The three sisters are all incredible talents. You can tell from their performances how much work they put into their craft.

Take it from someone who's been listening to rock music since the Beatles in the sixties. Grew up in the seventies listening to some of the best music, I believe, out there. Saw some of the greatest acts live from this era too. The eighties put out some good stuff too but there was a lot of 💩 too. The last 30 years were hit or miss for me. These young ladies kick ass. Whether it's a cover or original music you can't go wrong.

Despite their young ages - the bassist just turned 19 - they are consummate professionals. Difficulties can always crop up in live performances and they just ride on through them. Nothing bothers them. You should try 'Disciple', either the OMV or the Teatro Metropolitan performance.

Daniela(Guitar) 23 Paulina(Drums) 21 Alejandra(Bass) 19 are from Monterrey Mexico… speak both Spanish and English… gain their inspiration from their parents(non musicians) love for music and the video game, “Rock Band”, after that they were hooked and wanted to do the real thing for fun… they have been playing their instruments for over a decade and are classically trained on piano… they attended Berklee College of Music in Boston in 2015 to learn more about musicianship… they currently have 3 full length albums and 2 incredible songs in their native language… in their recent album, “ERROR” they talk about greed in the society, social media dangers and technology of the new generation, ppl being controlled and not thinking for themselves, and they have some personal songs as well… they also have a fan favorite/classic concept album back in 2018 called, “Queen of The Murder Scene” basically a novel that they made into an album and probably the best I’ve heard🤘in 2017, “21 Century Blood” was their first album and talks about more of changes they want in the society, the world being programmed and also different shows and stories and they read and wanted to incorporate in their music… Pau the drummer talks about what they think about the society and changes they want in their Tedx performance in 2017 and did one in 2016 as well… they stayed independent for years and were gaining success and recently got signed to Lava Records in 2020 after the CEO saw them play twice… they took 7 months to negotiate because they wanted full control of their music… the ladies previously said that many big names have gave them offers and the ladies declined all of them because they wanted to be true to themselves and will not change into something they’re not to become successful… they were kids speaking like this too! they’re known to be better live than their actual audio recordings… their best live pro shot show to date is at Teatro Metropolitan CDMX which has over 1 million views on YT… they also been selling out their own headlining tours for the past years here in the US, Latina America and also Europe.. they recently played with Guns N Roses Halestorm Foo Fighters and Muse… Metallica is a fan of them as well and invited them on the 30th Anniversary of the Black Album in 2021 to make their own version of “Enter Sandman” after they were notice in 2014 of their viral 20 plus million views Enter Sandman cover and the guys from Metallica loved it… i think TW recently just won the best live band of 2023 🤘and Paulina won best up and coming drummer too… probably the best band of my generation… they always keep a smile on their face, don’t try to be sexy nor curse in their music, raised very well by their parents, and are very well spoken... they have various behind the scenes video movies from every tour, great interviews, and some documentaries.. they do so much for their fans and treat their fans like family and also have meet and greets to sign things or take pictures every show… their parents and family is their team and travels with them to every show… also the ladies just celebrated their emotional 10 year anniversary and dropping a new album soon! they really worked hard over the years and earned everything they got..TWA🤘

Remember the good old days with a cold beer and you drop the needle or pushed play first song on a album and just let jam all the way to the last song! That's (THE WARNING) for me!! Every song on all 4 albums are bangers, not one song is a skip in my opinion.🤘💯

What do I think of them? I think the world of them. They are the future of rock. You are going to want to find away, even if you can't do a reaction for whatever reason, you'll need to listen on your own. By the end of the year, or even halfway, they will be household names. This song is no fluke.

First band I've ever listened to that doesnt have at least one song in their catalog that i dislike or am meh about. Best live band I've ever experienced. To top it off they are some of the nicest and down to earth people I've ever met. They work very hard for their fan base and they feel more like family than just a band I'm interested in. Ya, as others have said, they are indeed sisters and have been playing together for a long time. This is probably my favorite performance from them so far, but their entire Teatro Metropolitan CDMX show on their channel is also great quality the whole way through. I'm 90% a metalhead that likes a handful of rock bands and this is one of those rock bands, and they have to be the only band I listen to that are almost always better live than in studio (not that they're bad in studio, just heavier and more energetic live).

Found them one stormy night in Nashville 3 + years ago and was instantly blown away and have been ever since.. Their Teatro22 concert may just be the best live show ive seen in ages... Bonafide Killers.

“The Warning” they are a Mexican rock band formed in 2013 by the Villarreal Vélez sisters: Daniela, Paulina, and Alejandra. Welcome to 3 sisters from Mexico, they're something very special. There's no one else like these ladies. They all sing , play piano, and English is their second language. The father sold his Harley and set them up with real instruments. Based on some behind the scenes, I got the impression MTV was only setup to play a track thru the PA for the typical MTV group to dance around and lip sync to. Their whole Teatro Metropolitan show is perfection. They've got several full shows upon their channel, and they're all great, but that TM show is as clean a concert video as you'll fine - their sound team is amazing, and the girls never fail to crush it.

Thunder Rooster, thanks for your first reaction to my favorite band, The Warning. They are currently ages 23, 21 and 19 and we expect their 4th album at any time. They are true rock prodigies. I LOVE EVERY song from their first 3 albums and have seen them live 4 times. They write lyrics meaningful to them and deliver them with their own unique style of rock, which I find has an infectious sound. They have so much fun on stage and their energy is contagious. I encourage everyone to see them in a small venue this year, as it may be your last chance before they fill stadiums.

They performed on the “Doritos” stage in advance of the main awards night along with two other nominated acts: Kaliii and Renee Rapp, all three performing 2 songs. Very few in the crowd were there to see the The Warning. Here we are 3 months later, combined, 2 song views on MTV’s RU-vid channel alone for all three artists are: Kalii 531k views, Renee Rapp 338k views. The Warning 1.2 million views. Either MTV knew what they had… or they didn’t.

Almost everyone in the crowd was there to see Calii and Renee Rapp. No one was ready for The Warning. Even people that worked for MTV and listened to the sound check or the show were like “Holy $hit” I’m a fan now!”

Welcome to The Warning! I am a 57yo rocker since birth and have seen some of the best of all time Live. I have never seen a major band more than 3 or 4 times over a span of years. I have seen The Warning 5 times in less than 2 years and flew to Mexico to see them 6 weeks ago. That should speak volumes. I have NEVER seen a band like them. Every song is good and not the same as the others. They seamlessly blend different sub-genres and decades of rock into a familiar, yet fresh package. And they are the best songwriters of their generation which puts them head and shoulders above any new band in decades. Rock On, my friend! You've been Warned!

They are 3 sisters from Monterrey Mexico. They started like most kids playing classical music, mostly on the piano. Then they discovered Rock Band and they were hooked. When their parents (many thanks needs to go to these people for supporting these kids) asked if they wanted to play another instrument they all jumped on it, each gravitating to the instrument they played most in Rock Band. The 2 oldest sisters started first and Ally watched. When she was big enough, she started on base. Damn thing was taller then her. This was at three I think. They are working on their 4th Album now and are consummate professionals that clearly know how to entertain the masses. They have opened for GnR, Muse, Def Leppard, Halestorm and even did a Ted Talk at a college in Arizona. It's a good watch as they do speak to the crowd in between songs, explaining their vision. This was back in 2016 I believe. Watch this song in the studio version. They did it with 16 iPhones and a drone. Simply Amazing! The Teatro Metro live performance is off the chain good and it's produced by them, not someone of their iPhone like so many are. Great lighting and extremely solid performance. These gals should be emerging soon as a world renowned group. They are now, Ally (Alejandra) 18, Pau - pronounced "Pow" (Paulina) 21 and Danny (Daniela) 23.

Absolutely the best rock band right now. Hands down. You haven't seen anything yet. The two songs they play at the VMAs are toward the bottom of my list honestly. They're still good and you should check out More too but they have so many good songs. Anything from Teatro Metropolitan, anything from Lunario, anything from Dakota bar(especially Black Holes).

When they composed the song (and it was one of the last ones they did for the album) they felt that it was lacking something and decided it needed a scream. They have metal in their souls.

When it comes to The Warning, I have yet to see two things: 1) Any reactor saying "I didn't really care for that." AND 2) Any reactor who hasn't got sucked down The Warning rabbit hole.

The energy and, above all, the passion for rock of the groups of yesteryear has been inherited in the soul of these three very talented Mexican sisters... These girls are probably one of the best rock bands out there. they write their own music.. They have toured with Muse, Lizzy Hale, Foo Fighters Pretty Reckless among many others. I watched the VMAs because my favorite band ever was going to make some kind of appearance. I wouldn't miss it! That being said, every last second of that program, minus when The Warning was on the screen, was the most grueling, disgusting, and painful display of humanity at its worst... Hours of today's "musicians" running around, half naked, most of them, seeking the nearest camera and/or microphone, to spew whatever narcissistic, entitled crap they could. The Warning, for any sentient being, were the only genuine people at the event; and they slayed it! I'm glad you enjoyed their performance.

Great 1st reaction to The Warning Ron! The Villarreal-Velez sisters are amazing songwriters and performers from Mexico who live in Monterrey, San Pedro Garza Garcia, Nuevo Leon. Each one of their original songs is great. Their second album, "QUEEN OF THE MURDER SCENE", is a concept album. It follows a girl's journey into unrequited love; from infatuation and obsession on into stalking and murder, then madness and the fight over her soul. It is a masterpiece. It was nominated for Best Rock Album at the 2019 Independent Music Awards. Their 1st full-length LP, "XXI CENTURY BLOOD", is also very good and is packed with many great songs. The video for the title track, "XXI Century Blood", was nominated for and won many awards. Their very 1st released recordings are from their 6 song EP, "ESCAPE THE MIND"; and it is amazing. Despite being courted by numerous offers from many major record labels, The Warning have stayed independent through the years; relying on crowd funding to finance their projects. They refused to give up creative control over their material ... down to even the clothes they wear on stage. After 7 months of negotiations, The Warning signed a 5 album recording contract with Lava/Republic Records/Universal Music Group in the fall of 2020. They decided to release 1/2 (6 songs) of their completed 3rd full-length album in an EP called "MAYDAY" October 8th, 2021. The entire album was released June 24th, 2022: called "ERROR". "Disciple" is my favorite track! Regular family functions included gathering around the TV with popcorn and watching LIVE concert dvds of legendary bands like Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Queen and AC/DC. When their parents got them the video game Rock Band at ages 8, 6 and 3, they went nuts playing it obsessively. Shortly thereafter they got real instruments with lessons from professional teachers: and the rest is history. Amazing they are 23, 21 and 19 years old and have already written, arranged, and released #46 original songs (and recently finished recording their 4th studio album). They recently performed 2 songs at the MTV VMA's. I was fortunate enough to get to meet them after their show January 16th, 2020 at The Whisky a Go-Go in Hollywood, California. I had the opportunity to meet with them 3 more times during the 10 shows I attended on their 2022 North American MAYDAY Tour and 2023 ERROR WORLD TOUR. They’re three sisters born and raised in Monterrey, Mexico. Daniela (Dany) vocals and lead guitar is almost 24. Paulina (Pau), is almost 22, and plays drums. Alejandra (Ale) the bassist, turned 19 in December. They started at ages 14, 12, and 9!

They are sisters from Monterrey Mexico They are Daniela "Dany " - lead singer and guitarist, Paulina "Pau" - drums and backing vocals sometimes lead and Alejandra " Ale" bass They all play piano since they were little

They didn't give them the full treatment! This was the side stage! It took all the other bands many takes to get it right while The Warning got both songs in 1 take and blew everyone else off the stage! I'm betting 99,9 % audience never heard of them until that performance! They sure the hell know who They are now!! this was such a huge and powerful exhibition they gave with the short time they were given... they performed two songs, *More* (done first) and this one, *Evolve* which is certainly a fan favorite... Pau, the drummer, came up with *Evolve* after watching a documentary about evolution and gene manipulation... this isn't the first time she has drawn inspiration from a TV show or movie, either... i understand that MTV is still looking for their roof LOL i'm quite proud and happy for DPA/TW for making these milestone appearances at two MTV functions, the MIAW in CDMX (back in Aug 2023) and the VMAs in NY&NJ (Extended Stage) (in Sep 2023)... three additional milestones are 1) they are the first Mexican band to perform at the VMAs, and 2) they were invited to perform, and 3) they were not nominated for anything... that speaks volumes in a great and huge way! now add to that they have been doing this for 10 years and, right now, most of that was while independent... i would also be remiss if i didn't mention that this performance was real unlike the other groups that also performed here... DPA/TW did both of their songs fully live and in one take while the others lip synced and took all three takes of which the ""best"" was selected for airplay... DPA/TW were also the only ones to be announced on the main stage when it was time to present their performance... watch Pau closely... you can see her preparing herself, taking a deep breath, shaking her head, and firing her "Scream of Evolution" toward the heavens releasing all of her frustrations and pain so she can *Evolve* and grow past them 😜... she has described it in similar fashion and brings it for real each and every time they present this hard rocking power ballad in concert or live sessions... Pau has also stated that playing here on this stage was a very surreal moment... the stage was very much like the stage in the game Rock Band... i can easily see that they might have felt as if they had been transported into the game... i'm sure they imagined similar when they were playing the game as children and just beginning to find their path in life...
