First Time Reaction to “Magic Shop” by BTS! 

I´m 51 years old, i only heard about them a year ago when the pandemic started and i had to stay at home and had more free time to be at my computer and youtube...then a miracle happened when i saw them for my 1st time in CPK with James Corden... and my life changed completely...these "kids" show me how to love myself, they are the most humble persons i ever met...and although many and many people stoped talking to me and stoped following me on twitter because i´m too old to love a boy band from South Korea, i don´t give a shit and carry on with my life and listening what i think it´s the best band ever!!! Oh and i always cry listening to Magic Shop, this song is definitely magic...One day, you, me and all #ARMY around the world will have a chance to see them live! Stay safe! 💜

Just like Mikrokosmos and Magic Shop Love Yourself: Answer is another one I cried really hard listening to. Please read the lyrics for Love yourself: Answer its so comforting. If you want to see the Live for that you should see when they performed at Citi Field and Jimin Cried after singing Love Yourself: Answer, which he said he realized at that moment he should always promise to always love himself just as much as we love him which ultimately led to him writing his solo song " Promise"

i really love that in "magic shop" they don't try to force you to always feel good and ignore your feelings, but they express and show that they understand you and are by your side, they want you to remember that you can have difficult moments but there will still be someone with you to support you or some place where you can feel better. (:

Some people are just hating on them because they don't understand how a group of Korean boys could become the biggest group on the planet without singing in English. Many of them just assume they are overrated and believe the stereotypes without even giving them a chance... it's sad but still accurate today 🤷 Many Armys now admitted that they thought the same before actually listening to them. This is still one of my favorites: coming home after a long exhausting day and laying on my bed listening to it is one of the best feelings 🤗👌

Don't know if anyone has said this yet, but here's a psychological definition of Magic Shop: "Magic Shop is a psychodramatic technique that exchanges fear for a positive attitude". So, when they say make a door in your heart, and inside is comfort, that's what they're talking about. This song makes all ARMYs tear up, and also knowing that it became a "thing" with ARMYs between V and Jimin and JK to sing the call and response at the end of lots of performances as a goodbye....and, on top of that, the ARMY logo looks like a door, so...

This song has a special place in every ARMYs heart. I remember after their concert, 60k people were leaving the stadium altogether at wembley and one person yelled "so show me" and all the people around replied with "I'll show you" and we sang that back and forth all the way to the subway station. such a fond memory I have of the song and the concert that I'll always cherish.

Magic shop is my number 1 comfort song. When I have my anxiety attacks on my way to school I listen to this and read the lyrics. It gives me strength and reminds me I’m gonna be ok. I’m soo happy you like the song, it is a lifesaver. 💜💜

I think one of the best things about BTS and their music is they don't focus on how big or small our personal struggles are. They understand that everyone will have bad days, themselves included, but they continue to tell us that it's okay to have moments where it's all dark but remind us that tomorrow CAN and WILL be different. Like Namjoon said during his ending moment - if they can take away our pain; even a tiny bit with their music it's all worth it for them. Songs like this make me wish I had known them sooner because they have some gems within their discography that we might not hear as often as new albums come out. I have no words for how thankful I am to the dedicated ARMY who are able to capture these raw concert moments through fancams that allow us to experience it too even if we end up in tears.

Another beautiful song from JK. His writing style is so evident in this song. He has a remarkable talent.

Honestly, I overlooked Magic Shop at first when Love Yourself: Tear came out, but after watching and listening to it so many times and seeing others' reactions, I can say that imo this is one of their best songs. Their message is so powerful: If you can give this much love for us (BTS) then you can also show this much love for yourself, because the overall theme of the Tear album is that you can't truly love someone else without loving yourself.

What makes this song truly special for me is a realization of this part: You give me the best of me, so You'll give you the best of you. At first I thought I heard it wrong coz what I expect is they will say that they will give their best to us in return. But you see, it is their way to empower ARMY. That if we can give BTS our best, they are now telling us that WE should give OUR best to OURSELVES. That we can tap that energy to us. They want us love ourselves more. Magic Shop was before Mikrokosmos. Now Mikrokosmos is the closing song for their concerts - at least the last live concert we had seen. ARMY's were guessing (pre-pandemic) if We Are Bulletproof, The Eternal would be the new closing song.

I always wonder what is it that makes people hate them so much. It could be prejudice, jealousy or them trying to be edgy just to hate popular things loved by a majority of women. Bts and army has been through so much throughout the years recieving hate from other kpop stans, locals and western stans but in the end Im happy because the love we share between bts and army and in the army community is so strong and no amount of negativity can disrupt it

Great timing! a new video and about one of my most favorite BTS songs written by JK! This is based on a book (can’t remember the title and the author now but I’m sure someone has told you in the comments) that delves into the psych technique of making this magic shop in your mind to go into when you are having a difficult time...you go in there find some peace and relax and as you do you will find the answer within yourself. This song is really healing...it helped me out recently...as they say BTS comes into your life when you need them...and 2 weeks ago I really needed this and two of my favorite reactors reacted to this video within 12 hours...so of course It made me cry and I truly thought about the lyrics and used BTS to find some peace and eventually I found my answer! Still not out of the woods but I know BTS, their music and videos will be there when I need to de-stress. I also cried with you! Keep up the amazing videos! You have a good heart!💜💜💜💜
