Ok so I just wanna give some context, Andy, the lead singer, had a close relationship with his grandfather. He wrote this song after his grandfather passed away and noticing all the ppl talking about him going to heaven, and how he was in life. This song is a legacy anthem to his Grandfather basically.
Might be little late but it wasn't just that he won't the lyrics but couple months after he passed away after he wrote the song they were going through his grandpa's attic or so and found a note he wrote years ago that Andy never seen before and noticed it was part of the lyrics he wrote
That video was filmed 10 years ago. Their look has evolved throughout the years. Try Born Again, Scarlet Cross or Crimson Skies for the newest stuff or songs like Faithless or The Legacy for heavier fare.
Being a old time metal head and rock fan I love BVB just as much as I love Anthrax. I am more open minded than your standard metal head. If you feel the music it doesn’t matter what the “genre” is labeled for any band. Rock is rock and metal is metal. BVB blends both beautifully.
They were heavily influenced by bands such as KISS, Mötley Crüe, and the glam metal in general. Their older songs had a kind of heavier screaming element. Overtime they evolved into kind of a decent mix of both. Personally I like the music and the message they deliver.
Old school just can't move on. I'm old school I'm new school. I don't really care as long as the music's good. I'm also not stuck in one genre of music. You'll hear me playing metalcore one moment, then maybe some funk, then maybe Billy Ocean. The next time you can hear some classical, then hopping over to some classic rock.
Aw I love BVB. Got into them on their first album We Stitch These Wounds as a teenager. Perfect Weapon is a great one from that album. I’m biased with nostalgia goggles, but I dig the hell outta them.
Black Veil Brides, Falling In Reverse & Motionless In White are the best bands to come of the emo/pop/punk/rock era. Plus they're still putting out bangers
I was a teenager in the 90s and listened to metal of the 80s and 90s. I thought it was due to my life circumstances that I lived under a rock and didn't really get into newer hard rock/metal bands. Fortunately Cov have me too much time and I finally started to use Spotify and watch reactions in RU-vid. That made me "discover" some new music I like (new is relative here... everything from the 2000s is new for me). My favorite new discoveries being Corey Taylor, Falling in Reverse, Dymytry and since rap artists. I wishz like BVB. Not one of my favorites, but I love Andie's voice and some of their songs are on my playlist. I hope you'll check out more by them. They do have heavier songs. And let's be honest... A lot of metal/hard rock bands released their most melodic/radio friendly songs as singles (think Metallica Nothing Else Matters, The Unforgiven). Greetings from Germany
I thought the same thing T. They reminded me of Crue in their appearance. I've never heard of this band but I'm old. Not too bad of a song, kind of commercial. At least I don't have to send out cookies for this singer.
I say this on every reaction channel who does BVB, but you should definitely check out their Alive and Burning recording of Faithless, really heavy, AMAZING performance. Also for other songs, try The Last One, Crimson Skies, Stolen Omen (full of screams, really heavy).
Answering your question about why older rock generations hated our generation of music is because of jealousy pure and simple because music before was powerful or could be aggressive but ours was both and paved the way for inclusivity of people who were shunned from their society wether that be anyone who has mental health issues etc..
Love this song but my favorite from them is knives and pens And if your looking for music from this generation I suggest bands like ice nine kills, motionless In White, and falling in reverse Great reaction 🤘
I hope you react to some of these songs Reckless Love - Monster, Santa Cruz - My Remedy & Crashdiet - Cocaine Cowboys. I’m glad to see you reacting to newer bands.
React to Black veil brides The legacy it’s a song off their Sophomore Album set the world fire, First Album 1. We stitch these wounds (2010) singles off this album are knives and pens, Sweet blasphemy and Perfect Weapon. Second Album 2. Set the World on Fire (2011) singles off this album are Fallen Angels, Rebel love song, and the Legacy. Third album 3. Wretched and Divine: The story of the wild ones (2013) this album is a Concept album the only single off this album is In the End which you already you reacted to but the whole album is a good listen. Fourth Album 4. Self-Titled Black Veil Brides (2014) singles off this album are Heart of Fire, Faithless and goodbye Agony. Fifth Album 5. Vale (2018) singles off this album are Wake Up, when they call my name, My Vow and The Outsider. This was supposed to be black veil brides last album. Now the EPs, EPs are smaller albums basically, first EP is rebels came out in (2011) 1. Coffin has a music video, 2. Rebel yell which is a billy idol cover, 3. Unholy and the song ft. Zakk Wylde the badass guitar player. Second Ep is called The Night (2019) 1. Saints of the Blood 2. The Vengeance, Black veil brides have two music videos for this EP. Black veil Brides re-record their first album We stitch these wounds (2010) they made a re-recording of their first Album which is now called re-stitch these wounds (2020), Black veil Brides wanted to Re-record their first album because they weren’t satisfied of the outcome of album, and they had a low budget of $6000 so they decided to re-record the album 10 years later for the anniversary of album. Album six 6. The Phantom Tomorrow (2021) came out in October 29th 2021 and this new album is a Concept album as well and Andy Biersack the frontman said the band has comic book to go along with the album story. Black veil brides stared in 2006, Andy Biersack was a teenager when he formed black veil brides I believe he was 16 years old, Andy Biersack was supposed graduate High school but instead moved to L.A to start a new life as a musician so in 2009 most of the old members in BVB left. The current line up for Black veil brides. Vocals Andy Biersack 2006-present . Lead Guitarist Jake Pitts 2009-present . Rhythm Guitarist, pianist and violinist jinxx 2009-present.Drums Christian coma or CC stage name 2010-present. Bassist Lonny Eagleton 2019-present Lonny replace former bassist Ashley purdy and yes it’s a guy and not a girl. I won’t get into details on why they kicked him out you can do research if you want to. Last thing I’ll say Black Veil Brides are my favorite band, my favorite albums are the first two albums we stitch theses wounds (2010) and set the world on fire (2011) and the (2019) Ep is great as well. You should check out knives and pens music video first, it was the band first single and the old members of black veil brides are in the video, Andy was 18 years old video was released in 2009. Andy’s hair is naturally blonde but most of time he dyes it black. The first two black veil brides albums are their heaviest, but their fourth album is heavy as well but not my favorite. The second EP The Night is heavy as well.
Check out the New EP Bro just came out :) it's called The Mourning. Those are my boys Andy is the lead singer, jake and jinnx on guitar, lonny is a new bass player that is the old one and cc on drums.
This comment!!❤❤❤ I know Andy has indicated he's not overly fond of religion, especially with F.E.A.R., but I've always thought his message from W.S.T.W. all the way to current albums has stayed pretty much the same. Faith, fighting for the meek, and encouraging the celebration of life🥰. The fact you compared them to Skillet makes me extremely happy, though I couldn't truly express what I'm feeling😊 😅.
@@tntsmetalmeltdown4148 Hey T, Christmas 2012, I got my 17 yr old stepdaughter tix to see Black Veil Brides. I had never heard them. We saw them in Jan 2013. I was blown away. They were fantastic live. They're heavily influenced by Motley Crue. They did a killer version of Rebel Yell by Billy Idol.
