Ikanaide means „Don't go“ and was composed in 1989 by the Japanese singer-songwriter and actor Koji Tamaki. The lyrics were written by Goro Matsui. In the same year, this song was borrowed from a Chinese-Japanese TV series called Farewell, Lixianglan. This series is about the true story of Yoshiko Yamaguchi, a Japanese woman born in China. She made a career as an actress and singer in China during WWII and therefore had to hide her Japanese origins and was known there under the name Li Hsiang-Ian. When her true origin was revealed at the end of WWII, she was charged with espionage and was sent back to Japan, where she continued her acting career. The Hong Kong singer Jacky Cheung changed the song to Cantonese and called it Lixianglan. Later in 1993 it was adapted into Chinese Mandarin and called Late Autumn or Autumn Strong. However, the lyrics and therefore the meaning of the song were changed. That is, the lyrics of Ikanaide are different from the song in Chinese. It has nothing to do with the lyrics in Autumn Strong other than the melody. Dimash sang Autumn Strong in The Singer competition in China in 2017. It was the 4th performance of the show and it was the very first time he sang a song in Mandarin. Autumn Strong: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-FXQ58U-Eddg.html This song is sooo beautiful❤️. And he performed it with so much emotions. You literally can feel his pain😪. It’s one of my favorites. His first song in Japanese. He has been invited to perform at the Tokyo Jazz Festival in 2021. But he couldn't go to Japan because of Covid. So he had to sing it from the studio in China. There he took part in the show Shine! Super Brothers. I’m not sure but I think it was his studio in China. But I do know he got a studio as a gift for his birthday. If the Japanese reactors are to be believed, Dimash sang in perfect Japanese. Some also claimed that it was better Japanese than many Japanese themselves😅. Greetings and love from Germany👋❤️
Air in the voice many times can be a failure in the technique...unless you have a flawless technique and use that air in the voice deliberately to convey a certain emotion. This performance is pure art made out of some sounds, some air and a lot of emotions. It is perfection in emotion conveying
Esta canción junto con Ángel Love, son mis canciones de cuna y así me duermo mágicamente. Saludos desde Costa Rica 🇨🇷 Lástima que no pusieron los subtítulos para inglés y así entendieran esta historia real chino japonesa 😊
This version "Ikanaide" (行かないで) ) is the original, from 1989, composed by Koji Tamaki (famous Japanese singer, born in 1958) with lyrics by Goro Matsui. The version "Autumn Strong" (Late Autumn), sung in Chinese, uses the same song, but has another lyrics (Yaqui Cheung, from 1993) and another theme: It talks about the Japanese actress Yoshiko Yamagushi, very dear to the Chinese, who was deported when they discovered her Japanese origin (his real name was Li Xiang Lan and we're talking about World War II, where Japan was China's enemy) and never returned to China. In the original version, the lyrics are more intimate, sentimental and more recognized worldwide. It means: "Please don't go!".
