Yes, you are right . To get to know and appreciate FORESTELLA's outstanding skills, "Bad Romance" is not the right choice of song. However, covering is not necessarily the worst stylistic device to prove your skills, because you have to assert yourself against the original song and artist. Covers of this group are mostly New interpretations and all TOP, individually of course a matter of taste. This group impresses with extraordinarily talented singers with unique voices and vocal ranges (from soprano to basso profundo), incredible harmonies and outstanding technical skills. Perhaps start with their more classically oriented versions of "Hijo de la Luna," "Je Suis Malade" or "Scarborough Fair," which show off their skills significantly better.
Thanks for your reaction! Forestella is a South Korean classical crossover group composed of a bass, baritenor, lyrical tenor and countertenor. Hope you check out more, as this song only showcases a small percentage of their vocal range and ability-- I'd recommend their performances of "Hijo de la Luna," "Bohemian Rhapsody," "Je Suis Malade," "Scarborough Fair," and "Time in a Bottle." Enjoy!
Merci beaucoup! Thank you for your reaction! This is Forestella, a crossover group from Korea. They are the winner group in the Phantom Singer 2; an audition show to form a crossover quartet like il Divo from Korea. However as they have their own unique style, they won't be Korean il Divo, they will be the Forestella of the world! Forestella has sung great covers like Bohemian Rhapsody, We are the Champions, Hijo de la Luna, Heal the World, the Sound of Silence, My Favorite Things, Champions (mash-up of Champs league theme and Champions by Jo SuMi), Nella Fantasia, Scarborough Fair..etc etc. At the Phantom Singer All Stars they sang Time in a bottle, Je suis Malade as well. Shape of You in English, Spanish and African Zulu is fantastic indeed. You can even see them dancing singing Smooth Criminal as well! And they broke the record of their own with EXO's MAMA winning 6 trophies for King of Kings in a row in Immortal Songs. Check their magnificent performances of Bad Romance and Lazenca Save us in King of Kings and Unwritten Legend too. Forestella is a quartet of Ko WooRim (classical bass, intense abyss-deep low tone), Kang HyungHo (ex-research chemist, rock vocalist with soprano head voice falsetto), Cho MinGyu (classical leggiero tenor, light boyish crystal clear tone) and Bae DooHoon (musical actor, 159th King of the Masked Singers, emotion convincer good at R&B, Pop). Each has distinct tone and style of singing, different charm. But all of them are famous as practice-freaks. They meet almost everyday to practice together. In a radio program the leader (Cho MinGyu) revealed it would be around 20 days they didn't meet in the year. Bae DooHoon also said they don't meet 1~2 days in a month. I think this explains how their perfection can be possible. Don't miss their m/v for Save our lives! It's full of wonders. Each of them is representing an element in the m/v. They sang Fake Love of BTS and their song Save our lives at MAMA. Their new original song Utopia is a must check. Now I see they are creating a genre called Forestella. They showed "What crossover is" with Save our lives and showing "What Forestella does" with Utopia!
If you're wanting to listen to their own songs, I highly recommend For Life! My favorite song from them is Hijo De La Luna which is a Spanish lullaby that they translated into Korean and then arranged the song themselves
Thank you for reacting forestella 🥰 you should watch je suis Malad, their french pronunciation is perfect 🥰 and one of the singers, the bass, ko Woorim sings a french song, Les Fueles Mortes, his french is really fluent too 🥰
After Dimash, this is my favourite band. Personally, and again I reiterate PERSONALLY, I prefer this version to Lady Gaga’s original. They are clear, full of drama, excellent vocally and Ko’s growl at the beginning is sooooo gooood.
As you are French may I recommend their "Je suis Malade". It is simply stunning. Their "Bohemian Rhapsody" is a close second to Queen's version (even Queen never did the Operatic section live. They played a video and left stage, returning after the Operatic bit.) Forestella do the whole song live. "Time in a Bottle" is beautiful. And their "Shape of You" is fun and experimental. "Hijo de La Luna" and "Nella Fantasia" are beautiful. Thank you for your Reaction.
Merci pour la réaction . C'est le meilleur quartet Coréen crossover . Je vous conseille leur cover Bohémian Rhapsody . Pour leur chanson originale ça sera UTOPIA . 😊
