great reaction mercy. haley reinhart is one the greatest, most unique vocalist of our time. postmodern jukebox (or pmj) takes current popular songs and completely re-imagines them vintage (1920s to 1960s) in the music itself and style of the performances that actually take you back in time. they have a variety of good vocals but haley especially with postmodern jukebox is incredible. all the other haley/pmj ones are great also: "all about the bass", "habits", "black hole sun", "mad world", "seven nations army", "oops i did it again", "lovefool" and the very recent "don't speak". i think what is so phenomenal about haley is not just her amazing silk to sandpaper voice but also her character and soul that she puts into the performances. even when she uses very little of her unique vocal acrobatics, her pure raw soft voice is amazing like in the intro of "creep". you see this even more in her solo platinum cover of "can't help falling in love" for the extra gum commercial which is truly stunning and frequently described as what love sounds like here: (ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-_uNpEbt7w_o.html )

I had to smile when you mentioned Angelina... for me as a Halien Angel you made a good point there, because though both of them have very distinct voices you'd not easily confuse there are certain similarities: Both of them, apart from really mastering their instruments to perfection, have the ability to adjust their vocals to any genre they decide to sing, they have a lot of jazz feeling and tone in their vocals when needed, but can easily switch it on and off as they like to... One difference I see is that Haley is a performer who is very expressive with her body language as well, while Angelina is more a singer, less theatrical and expressive on stage, but that may be due to her young age, we must not forget that Haley is 15+ years older and thus has much more experience with performing, Angelina may get there in ten years or so... When Haley was 17 as Angelina is now she also was still a rather shy girl, not shy in regard of singing, none of them ever was, but a little insecure about how to behave in front of a camera or large audiences... Here's a wonderful recording of Haley at about the same age Angelina is now, (18 vs.17), like Angelina often does she recorded at home, in her room, over a backing track, and you will see the parallels: the voice is there for sure, but also some still quite girly mannerisms she lost when getting older:.. enjoy! Haley is not just any old singer (anyone can sing) but no one could do what Haley does with her, she is a master technician. This is considered by many to be one of the top 10 singing performances of all time
