I was waiting to see if you would catch her encore or end ur reaction before it. When you slide the mouse up onto the screen and it clearly showed there was time left I thought you had it, but then sadly no. UR not the first to miss her encore. And since you dont know IU it is a little more understandable. IU is known for many things and one of those are her encores. After falling completely in love with her from watching her kdrama My Mister I started to check her out on RU-vid. One of the 1st videos I watched was a behind the scenes video of her last performance of her 10th anniversary concert tour. Where here staff had put to together a video of them talking about working with and for IU. It was intended for only her staff and IU. IU was off stage watching the video and was amazed that virtually all her fans had remained and were watching it too. When the video ended IU went back on stage in her street clothes to thank her fans. The the staff brought out a cake and flowers. Then she said to her fans "well I guess I sing a few more songs". Her encore lasted 2 hours, I was stunned. Not only that but she went into the stands and greeted fans while singing. That when I realized that this is a very very special person and that her fans truly do mean everything to her. Who does a 2 hour encore after having performed for 3 hours? No one I have ever heard of that's for sure. All her encores are spl and last a hour or longer. There are 2 exceptions to her encore lenght. Her last show in Seoul of her Love Poem concert, IU learned during the show that another friend had taken her own life. IU was barely able to finish the concert and did not perform an encore. 30 Days earlier one of her very closest friends had also died by suicide. Her song Eight which Suga produced and is featured on, is about her struggle in dealing with the lose of these 2 friends and a third friend Junghyun of Shinee in 2017. IU opened her Golden Hour concert at the Olympic stadium this past Sept 17th and 18th with this song, singing it for the first time in front of a concert crowd. Her channel has released a video of that performance as well as 2 behind the scenes videos which I highly recommend. Due to the local laws covering concert performances at the Olympic stadium her encores were not as long as they usually are either.
