First time reaction to, "Mikrokosmos", by BTS (Ep.18 BTS Journey) Studio & Live 

I’m a 67 year old ARMY and I never get tired of watching people fall for BTS. Their music is unparalleled and I’ve been around a long time. I’m glad you’re enjoying the journey. As I’ve said before, many of their best songs don’t make it to the charts but they do write some gorgeous lyrics.

I am 71. BTS found me at a very low point in my life. A traumatic emotional experience stole music from me. Everything made me incredibly sad. I stopped listening to just about everything. My daughter said "watch this". I did and haven't looked back. This is one of my favorites. When you learn their personalities, you love them even more.

The song is in NASA playlist. Their live peeformance in MMA 2019 was epic

they performed this for the Class of 2020 event. the perfect message for students graduating at the height of pandemic uncertainty. some songs don't get choreography because the message is more important than the performance. I didn't skip your intro. your voice deserves to be heard. you're a star. ✨

BTS is very much aware of the impact of their words. They talk about it a lot.Their softpower is just unimaginable.

Yo, with BTS there is always an intentionality, they don't just pop things out. 76-year-old ARMY here, musical roots Miles Davis' Kinda Blue band, John Coltrane, and classic '60s r&b. BTS are the only pop artist whose entire catalog engages me every single day. It will be interesting to watch you shed your current biases, some which come from your experience, but others of which have been shaped by your limited cultural exposures as an American man.

All of BTS songs are gifts to us, but there are a few songs that are extra special and filled with extra love for ARMY. This song is one of them 💜

this song was most probably at the ending of the concert judging by their outfits (they ususally come back for encores in relaxed clothes rather than stage costumes) and allows the maximum audience participation. Back in the day people would have had their lighters out, but ARMY bombs are much safer..lol.

Dont be confused with stars / universe bts mentioned multiple times in their lyrics. Rm once said Army = stars. We are here ini our universe. You will see in bts concerts armys lightstick is shining beautiful like a stars

looking at the concert you can see that the ocean of army bombs is like a galaxy itself. that's often how bts call us, and they also often use celestial vocab in what they write during the 3rd Muster (special concert) Namjoon called the sea of armys a galaxy: “Even if this universe and this galaxy expand and grow larger, please don’t think that the distance between our hearts grows farther. Friend to friend be careful listening to BTS Japanese stuff because of copyright strikes. The Japanese are more strict about those sort of things. But I really like it when you read the lyrics, listen to the color coded videos because it also helps you learn each members name, and then watch them perform it live. I don’t mine the longer videos. #ipurpleyou.

Hi Marilyn, I'm your sister ARMY at 73. You speak the truth. I always cry at Mikrokosmos. Hearing 50,000 ARMY sing this positive lullabye with BTS makes me know the world is and will become a happier place. And I would love to hear the CMBs react and play along.😄

Hi again. Thanks for sticking with BTS. This is a lovely song. Nothing complicated about it but it has everyone waving their ARMY bombs and singing at concerts where it is often the last song. It's uplifting just like watching the night sky. BTS have a discography of well over 300 songs. SUGA writes nearly 300 a year but of course not all find their way out into the world. Jin says that SUGA is always doing something with music, writing or producing it. SUGA says he's not that obsessed but I think he is. He takes his production equipment with him almost everywhere he goes. He's a sort after producer. It would really be very interesting to see how your band would tackle it. We are always up for long videos so don't worry that we will abandon you. I'm looking forward to you reacting to HoC live.

I think it would be really fun to watch your band try to cover BTS. It's crazy because sometimes people instantly fall in love with "kpop" and others never do no matter how many times you try to get them to listen to it. Your idea for a reaction followed by an attempt to preform the song.. that is a golden idea. It was 3 year old at the time (now 5) daughter that got me into BTS and I am so happy I did. Only sad they are breaking up due to military service for a while.

This is absolutely about the message and it’s simple but beautiful. People just are reminded they are both part of the vastness of humanity and not alone but each unique and special, precious. The music is uplifting their attitude is uplifting and yeh crowd and the guys creates a beautiful feedback loop. Like the band reaction idea and cover idea. All BTS music is meant to be performed live (except Paradise, Heartbeat, and Louder than Bombs… LTB is at the top most requested song they have never performed live 😂 they don’t seem to remember it and say it’s too high and difficult to sing live but it’s such a damn powerful song ah well).

what i like for someone new to BTS is when they read the lyrics and try to understand them. You're just as deeply sincere as they are. I didn't want to skip your intro at all. I enjoy listening to you - your authentic reaction is beautiful. We like long videos - let yourself sink into what interests you. We'll come along. This felt remarkably like hanging out with an old friend I've never met. Mikrokosmos draws on a theme we also hear in a bunch of other things - ARMY as a galaxy. And one of the things I've loved all my life is that every person is both an impossibly tiny part of the whole universe, *and* contains their very own universe of stories. Finding that in a BTS song really struck me. It's how I see people - as tiny giants. You totally got it - they're better live because it really is about connecting with the audience. Not just spectacle - as you saw in this one, sometimes there's no choreo, no costumes, no spectacle, they just sing their hearts out.

As I mentioned before, this band gives hope to people, and to young people in particular, urging them to progress. I love them because they give hope. One of the best sites for live performances with subs is Enjoy BTS More - and these videos may (no guarantees) have less chance of getting blocked. There are some other sites that claim to have English subs for performances but many of them are garbage - using auto generated subs.

You can see this with so many BTS songs they often allow space for ARMY call and response and other ways for them to be part of the performance.

Check Spring Day MV but make sure to check the explanation of the MV by Bulletproof or Italian Army channel (it's a must that you do). Just a little background Spring Day is the queen of all BTS songs. It has been in the Korean hit chart since it's released till now and during spring it would goes up the chart. It's the most controversial and bravest BTS song ever... (that's why you need to check the MV explained video) This song us a beautiful tribute that can be passed on to generations to generations.
