FIRST TIME REACTION TO ONEWE (원위)! 'Still Here', 'Veronica', 'Regulus', & 'Universe_' MV's 

The guy whose voice you really liked in universe_ is Yonghoon, the lead vocalist! He does play the guitar (and piano), but in most MVs he only sings. And the ladies were actresses in the MV, not their real family members (though I would’ve cried more if it were). I feel that k-band members are a bit easier to remember than kpop groups simply because they always carry their instruments 😂. Onewe are also quite consistent in where they stand / their positions in their MVs (from left to right it’s usually CyA (bass), Dongmyeong (keyboard), Harin (drum), Yonghoon (vocals, sometimes guitar), Kanghyun (guitar)). Regulus was inspired by the story of The Little Prince, hence the many references to flowers and space! It was written by the guitarist Kanghyun, who has since created a whole “space series” of songs that other members also add on to. YESSS, Veronica is written by CyA who wrote about his first crush on a girl named Veronica in his kindergarten class 😂. He wanted to emphasize the pure-ness of a first love and warned Yonghoon (who sings like he has went through multiple divorces) to basically keep things happy and light lmao. Still Here is very special since Yonghoon and Kanghyun are currently in the military and Onewe prepared this song for us before the two of them left 🥲. Some fans (weves) say that the song was written in our perspective (like us missing the 2 members but also saying that we’ll always still be here for them waiting for them to come back). Fun fact Universe was used to open up the Korean presentation of 2022 Seoul international Fireworks festival. The members were as surprised as the fans when that happened! It segued into Coldplay/ BTS so beautiful!

Thank you so much for taking the time to react to Onewe 💖 I'm also the type of person who has to be in the right mood for ballads, but Onewe is the only exception to this rule. There's just something about Yonghoon's voice that I find so beautiful and incredibly pleasing to listen to that I'll listen to their ballads whenever. I'd honestly listen to that man sing the phonebook, I just love his voice so much.

okay apologizing in advance for a long ass comment cuz i can rant about onewe for days first of all ty for reacting to them, im glad u liked them yes onewe cover a lot of genres, but that person who recommended u onewe summed up their vibes pretty good: yonghoon is mostly in charge of rock ballads even tho he can create a heavier rock or lighthearted and playful songs, kanghyun - usually more altrock, dreamy songs, cya - usually heavier rock/even a bit experimental songs; but thats def is no a limitation for them also when weves (fandom name) say "oh its this members song" it means that this particular member came up with a demo and took a lead in creating but others helped; cya always writes his own rap verses, harin arranges his drums, other members could help lyrics wise too etc etc quick notes on the featured songs: regulus is inspired by the little prince, universe_ is a gorgeous song (they were actors btw yeah not their family), veronica is indeed about cya's first (kindergarden) crush, its about pure first love, still here hits harder for fans, they prepared it before yonghoon and kanghyun enlisted i liked btw how u were so quick to notice that reoccuring space/stars theme in their songs) and with veronica's meaning too onewe live sound the same if not better, and yonghoon is def one of the best (to me the best) vocalists out there, u should watch them live one day! u can ask us for links) also fun fact they are self formed (istg their formation story is like out of a drama) and hugely self producing (they are main creators for all their songs except just one or two in creation of which they stil participated a lot) next set of suggestions from me would be: yonghoon - star/a book in memory/reminisce about all kanghyun - aurora/rain to be/parting cya - montage_/ring on my ears/q (feat. hwasa) btw veronica, aurora, montage_, ring on my ears are all bsides that were lucky enough to get an mv, thats how good their bsides are, u dont notice if thats a title track or a bside oh! if u would like to go for their bsides with no mv then: yonghoon - logo kanghyun - cosmos cya - trauma(aquarium) harin - envision_ dongmyeong - trigger_ a suggestion for a guide if u will feel like watching it - ollie0094's "1 band 5 members many reasons to love them" but u could never go wrong with any of their songs cuz all of them are masterpices (its like so mindblowing to me how can a group have such a golden discography, its the dirst time for me to like every single song from the artist) again ty so much for reacting will wait for more onewe reactions, subbed) gonna stop commenting now or this will be super long tho it alrd is

I think the beauty of their music is that you can interpret them in what ever you feel like. Still here is on one level about fans and the group when the group goes into hiatus for the military, there is a feeling of uncertainty by both if they will be still there after the break. Some fans move on to Stan others, some groups come back different or not at all into a music scene dominated by younger stars and different styles. On another level it can be a yearning love song.

I stan lots of groups but Onewe is something special and Yonghoon's voice is pure heaven. Great suggestions for songs, just another fyi, you know how Kpop groups have dance practice videos, Onewe has acoustic version videos of their songs that are so beautiful. Might want to check those out too

Not me thinking you were gesturing to thin air,, I didn’t notice your dog 😭😂 Regulus lyrics Kanghyun was inspired by the story the little prince, Veronica cya wrote about a first love, Yonghoon wrote Still Here and it was released while he and Kanghyun are enlisted so there’s a deeper meaning for fans. And yess I love their space themed lyrics it is a theme 💫 I’ll take any opportunity to mention yonghoon’s vocals that man is insanE top vocalist and dongmyeong vocals 👏🏻 I love how you took time and listened to each vibe/writer 😊 no need to apologise for the length 😂 Live performances are 👏🏻👏🏻 and their personalities are hilarious. they’re a self formed band so they’re really close.
