Angelina (11) is just an intelligent young lady that was given a special gift! This was a full rehearsal with The Staff Band of the Norwegian Armed Forces (Forsvarets Stabmusuikkorps)! In studio I believe she said shall we try it again or something like that, because she was changing the lyrics as they rehearsed! See how she goes from third person to first person at the end! Tell me what 11 year old knows about this! The consummate professional as a writer and vocalist! And then we have Angelina at 12 years old with a commanding stage presence! Her vocals are immaculate especially when you hear a live performance and this was from a cellphone as no other cameras were allowed! This entire concert was outstanding and the songs are from her album It’s Magic! She knocked this out of the park, what a professional! This was at the 200th anniversary of The Staff Band of the Norwegian Armed Forces (Forsvarets Stabmusuikkorps) concert! Is it a wonder why we love her so much? I don't think so. Just watching her sing is enough to bring an enemy army to their knees. 'Who she is' automatically makes one smile and warms their heart. If you begin to tear up it is tears of joy.

Man oh man, know this, l Love Angelina, but there was only one song l never liked, Oslo. That is until l heard it several times. Especially in what, you are watching, of the Military Band, live performance. I love it presently. That means, there is nothing of Angelina's l don't love. If someone hasn't already said it, she was 12.

Thanks for choosing this song, and for the beautiful reaction. Almost none of the reactors get there and it's a shame, because this song is so full of nostalgia and so incredibly harmonious that it could become the anthem of the capital of Norway, it beautifully communicates the emotions that Angelina feels when she returns to home from her many trips. Angelina and the Norwegian Military Band worked a lot well together, her "It's magic" CD was recorded with them. I love the simplicity and ease with which this girl manages to transform her passions and her feelings into beautiful music. Angelina is pure and fantastic talent, mixed with a wonderful musical sensibility and a unique maturity and this is an outstanding and sweet song written at 11 but with the sensitivity of an adult.💛🧡❤

The concert was when she was 12 the whole project started when she was 11 as way to help the military band. The band gave her the microphone you see her using when she is 12 and 13 in her home studio or on the blue couch for "I Rather Go Blind" for her 12th birthday.

The Norwegian Armed Forces Staff Music Corps (Forsvarets stabsmusikkorps) is Norway's largest professional brass band and celebrated its 200th anniversary in 2018. To mark this anniversary the orchestra went into the studio to record an album in November 2017 and they asked 11yo Angelina Jordan to do the vocals on the album. As a special tribute to Angelina, the two originals Angelina had at the time (“What is life” & “Oslo”) and her signature song “Fly me to the Moon” were also released on the album. There is some footage online on YT with rehearsal stuff and very interesting takes from recording sessions related to this album (most prominent “I’m a fool to want you” and “cheek to cheek”). Kaleidoscope RMX used some of it for their video “Creating ‘Oslo’ ”. The album was released in May 2018 on the Forsvarets Musikk record label, it is called “It’s Magic” and contains 16 Tracks - three of which are instrumental. On June 16, 2018, for the official celebrations and tribute to the orchestra, there was the spectacular concert this video is taken from. It took place outdoors under a large pavilion in front of Akershus festning, the famous fortress that has guarded Oslo for hundreds of years, in the presence Prime Minister Erna Solberg and many other prominent guests. The stage is called “Karpedammen Scene” (= “carp pond stage”), since there is a small pond in front of the stage which is actually the last remains of the old moat that was an obstacle for evil attacking armies. At her 12th birthday, the military band and her family did a surprise visit, and the band informed her, they would use her CD "It´s Magic" for their 200th anniversary party and asked her to sing there. As my dear co-commenters already pointed out, that the PM of Norway and other politicians would be there. BUT what better choice could there be, for this concert, than the National Treasure singing to the bigwigs of her home country. By the way, there is a video (Angelina Jordan corrects the orchestra) where this conductor asked AJ for advise. A 40 something yo experienced and respected musician asks a 11 year old for musical advise. This shows you, how SERIOUS she was and is taken by her colleagues. I think your 2nd guess as to how this song was written is the correct one. I've heard she wrote most of the lyrics during a flight home to Norway after an extended visit to the US. Don't know if that's true, but I have defiantly read it in the comments. I hope she starts doing more interviews answering fan questions, so we can ask her things like how these songs came about.

Hello, thank you very much for the reaction, I love this song, Angelina is brilliant, what I find interesting is that she generally dedicates a song to her country or city, when she has a great career, or several years above her, but no, At 11 years old, Angelina writes and dedicates a song to her city. I think it is very wonderful and special. The song is beautiful and her voice is unique. Add to that the fact that it is not easy to sing with an orchestra. Ok guys, will try to give you as much info as I can on this...BTW, thanks for doing this one, great reaction for sure. The first video is a creation by Kaleidoscope RMX, a Canadian father/daughter duo and big AJ fans that created that video (great editing, and they have done many). She is sitting at home on her piano writing the song (age 10-11). Next part she is in the studio, Age 11 recording the song with the Norwegian Armed Forces band for her Album "It's Magic" released in 2018. The last part of that she was sitting at the piano in a studio practicing "Feeling Good" when "Oslo" starts playing on the speakers in the studio, she simply changes songs and starts singing the "Oslo" song as it plays, without missing a beat (there is a video of this). The second clip she is singing the songs from the "It's Magic" album with the Norwegian Armed forces band for the release of the Album in 2018... she is 12 there. Hope this sheds some light on the videos you shared with us.

Very nice reaction. The first video uses the audio of the studio recording. This is from her album it’s Magic that she recorded at age 11 with this military band. The concert was several months later when she and the band performed the entire album. She was 12 at the concert. Amazing song to have been written by an 11 year old. Some say she may have actually still been 10 when she wrote it. This album also contains the original What is Life.

There are many myths and superstitions regarding the best drinks and foods for singing. However vocal chords are located in your air pipes and not directly touched by whatever you drink and eat. Being hydrated is important though. There are two things to be noted. Firstly inhaling steamy fluids may have a direct effect. Secondly some drinks and foods may stimulate the production of slime in your throat and that also may directly influence your singing. Thanks for the great and careful reaction! I so wish I could be at her concert,but impossible right now. Her time and so my time will find I'm sure!

She was 12 in the live performance, and either 10 or 11 when she wrote the song... I think it's a great song - I rather doubt she'll include it in her imminent concert in the US, but it would be nice if she did... I think the live performance was recorded on his phone by Boris (Palenovsky)

What you hear in this fan video, is the post production audio album track, laid over this phone video..... personally, I think a lot more is learned by also viewong the raw, non-production-altered, audio, straight from the phone, in the recording eoom.
