The biggest loss in music is how many groups of people listen to too few styles of music, imagine how many more Freddie like singers or Bowie like or Prince like singers we could have if everyone heard them and was inspired by them. This is true of all styles of music I was a manager in a shop that sold records the day it was announced Freddie had died early to get the papers ready, at 7:30 a.m. their greatest hits 2 was delivered and I put it on loud and it stayed on, loud, all day. We had zero complaints and our customers were of all ages and cultures.
The talent in Queen was ridiculous. Freddie's one of the greatest rock singers, frontmen, songwriters, and performers of all time... but Queen was so great, they probably could have been a success even without their diamond lead singer. All 4 of them wrote at least one hit song.
@@UTU49 Not even the Beatles could claim that, if you add into the mix that all their songs royalties are put into a single queen pot and shared 4 ways you have a group of brilliant musicians who actually like each other too
As an old guy who grew up with this music, I tend to forget that there is a complete generation out there who have never heard of Queen, one of the greatest bands ever. To see someone hear it for the first time, and get so much enjoyment out of it, brings a tear to my eye. Fantastic.
I grew up in the ‘90s and it’s scary how quickly time passes, that, as you said, there’s a new generation that hasn’t heard Queen (Hell, I’ve seen reactions from kids who haven’t even heard Eminem’s older stuff. Time flies).
I am 15 and I really LOVE QUEEN, THEY ARE THE REAL LEGENDS and I always become so happy if I listen to this except for the ‘Love of my life` than I have to cry 😅☺️🥲
Yes it is so great to see this generation discovering them. Freddie truly was a one off. I still miss him. Lovely to see the reactions of hearing it for the first time. It made me tear up a bit.
Freddy was the greatest front man there ever was. You should check out Queen at Live Aid. Just about every big artist in the world at that time played there in 1985. It was the biggest show of all time, organised to raise money for starving people in Africa. Amost every famous singer and band was there. And Queen blew them all away.
Queen did blow them all away. The rest of the bands literally gave what many critics have called ok performances while Queen gave one of their best show's ever!
Absolutely the greatest front man EVER. His stage presence and the way he HOLDS an audience and OWNS them is incomparable. It puts Elvis and Michael Jackson in awe. Freddie, you were sheer genius.
I’m 14 and my dad has brought me up on rock music. It’s the only thing I listen to. I adore queen and think they are so amazing. Freddie has made such an impact on the world and i am glad people are enjoying his music.
I have three kids, all brought up on rock music like you and to this day they all adore Queen, I've been a fan from 1975, so almost fifty years!! So just keep on rocking..... no music like it. ❤️❤️❤️
Ah Freddie Mercury the greatest showman of the 20th century. We will not see the likes of him for a very long time. The band Queen I grew up listening to and they can still stand the ages of time.
Baby girl, you are looking beautiful as always. Suggestion: Check out Queen's performance at Live Aid. It's considered by many to be the greatest live performance ever. It's about 20 minutes, but worth every second. Freddie was on fire that day.
Also from every account I’ve seen of this historical event; he was already suffering from complications with hiv that effected his vocal ability. With raw passion and talent even a horrible illness such as AIDS couldn’t suppress his God given ability
Every artist that performed that night said they regretted having to follow Queen and more specifically Freddie Mercury. The most famous bands in the world and they didn't want to perform after Freddie. That is really speaking volumes about the power and talent of the greatest rock and roll singer and performer of all time!!!
@@michaelgraham6269 David Bowie went on DIRECTLY after Queen and he got pissed and apparently yelled at some of the guys backstage to the effect of "How the fuck am I expected to follow THAT!?"
Bohemian Rhapsody was written by Freddie Mercury and released in 1975 on Queen’s forth album A Night at the Opera. Queen debuted Bohemian Rhapsody in full in 1977 during the tour for the band’s fifth studio album A Day at the Races. To make it easier for performances, the intro section was cut entirely. Since that part is just Freddie Mercury multitracking himself. When performed live, this was the order. Ballad section sung live, operatic section which comes courtesy of the original studio version, the rock section and ending section both sung live. Even after the death of Freddie Mercury in 1991, Queen has still used that order to this day in live performances with Freddie on tape.
OMG the joy in your face! I’ve watched a couple of your videos now, and that joy gets me right in the heart. I’m joining the ranks of people who have a crush on you, girl 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
Have to say that this is one of the most genuine reactions I've seen of Queen. The big eyes and smile -and the spechlessness just answers all the love I have for Queen and other people finding them out. :)
Queen is my favorite band of ALL times - and seeing a lovely young lady like you discovering Freddie Mercury's genius is like manna from HEAVEN ! ! ! You simply must go down the Queen rabbit hole , my darling ! ! !;
The Greatest FrontMan ever Freddie Mercury. Everything about his initial FM is connected to music... Just like FM radio where people from all walks of life listen to their favorite songs.
Yes, but listen to the studio version: the missing choir in the Montreal version makes it way less powerful. Just as the missing opening here is really like a missing thing.
I remember it like it was yesterday and seeing Queen do their "Night at the Opera" album that same summer. Same summer I went and watched Genesis do "Lamb Lies Down on Broadway".
I do remember. It was number 1 in the UK for 9 weeks on my 9th birthday. The video blew me away. My theory has been for many years is that it is Freddie coming to terms with his sexuality. The man he killed at the beginning is the Freddie in denial
Love these reactions....I grew up having seen and heard Queen so I never got the chance to experience it as an adult fr the first time...it’s an enviable position to be able to appreciate and hear this as an adult for the first time ! The reactions you have are so honest and lovely to witness!
I love seeing your face change with the song, your reactions are amazing. When people process music like this it's so fascinating to me because as someone who is primarily a writer, music to me is entirely internal because I start thinking of scenes, characters, settings, worlds, etc. I really, really enjoy your reactions, thanks for sharing.
I love watching your reactions, your expressions say everything you don't need to say anything! Also, you are so very beautiful, God is an awesome God!
I was out walking my dogs and felt in the mood to see somebody react to Queen after listening to “Show Must Go” and feeling nostalgic for Freddy Mercury & Queen. I literally stopped and sat on the grass to type this. Your reactions in your facial expressions were so pure. I knew within the first few seconds of hearing Freddie sing, that you got it. There never has, and there never will be, another singer & showman as good as him. I recommend you watch & react to the whole Live Aid performance by Queen. There will never be anything as incredible performed live ever again. It’s all done be just four men playing their instruments and singing. No auto tune. 🔥
You really need to react to Queen live aid full concert 1985 it will blow you away I was there it was the best ever it’s so iconic it’s legendary it’s only 20 minutes long you will literally be blown welcome to the Queen journey I’m a huge Queen fan I have always been awesome reaction
Here we are, one day after Freddie's 74th birthday and I still cry from the beauty of his voice. The look on your face says it all. And that never goes away no matter how many times you hear the song.
@@kristijanEX He's from Indian. So are his parents. Theyve been there for hundreds of years apparently. Ethnically Persian but his mam looks quite Indian
@@jdivision79 still, it's documented and apparently his family is proud of their Parsi origin. If anything Freddy looks more Persian than Indian to me.
I lived near a football stadium where freddie was doing a sound check for the following days concert. The traffic stopped and people came out of their houses just to stand and listen on the pavement . Who else could do that !
Morenikeji I just love watching your reaction videos. You're smile is like a sunbeam coming out from behind the clouds, it just brightens up the whole world. What a lucky family you have, to have their own personal ray of sunshine in you to brighten up their lives.
Beautiful reaction, dear! Queen is amazing, and Freddie was one of a kind. Amazing talent and frontman! I looking forward to more Queen. I suggest Is this the world we created live at Wembley. Much bless ❤❤
Queen!!!!!!!! Gods of Rock!!! Nothing else to say ! Bohemian Rhapsody is known as the best rock song ever created!!! Merging rock and opera in one composition! Only Freddie Mercury could do this!
I found your channel a few days ago after looking for reactions to the Righteous Brothers. Love your reaction here. If you haven't already, please react to Queen's song "Radio Gaga" when they performed it at Live Aid. React to all of their performances from Live Aid if you can. The whole thing is on RU-vid. God bless!
Happy to see you enjoy, probably the greatest singer showman ever.....even now, long after his death. I still am stunned by the quality and talent and the greatness of Queen and Freddie Mercury. Morenikeji, you picked a great song and video and singer!!!
The live concerts have an appeal and strength . But to hear it from the original studio version is wonderful and no background distractions. Listen to both .
