If you guys start from the beginning and do the whole series, I am SO DOWN FOR THAT! Bear in mind that SEINFELD doesn't get it's "rhythm" until season 3. You start laughing hysterically from then on. Kramer's character isn't really developed until then as well.
@scottythetrex5197 yeah, I heard it didn't do well at all in the beginning. I thought Kramer wasn't funny at all and wondered why he was there. Then he found his character, the one that worked. I didn't like EVERYBODY LOVES RAYMOND for the 1st season, then they all got it together and it was hilarious from then on.
The entire cast are all very self-absorbed. The show became known to it's fans as "the tv show about nothing." It is one the funniest shows ever. It's right there with the 1950s classic "The Honeymooners."
George flying to Akron to zing the guy is probably my favorite TV moment ever. When this episode debuted, I was laughing so hard I had tears running down my face. HE IS CRAZY.
I read somewhere that the requirements to the writers from Larry David was that the characters never hug and never self improve. That’s why they are still self centered narcissists on the final episode.
Yes, I have the entire series on DVD and on the extra bonus stuff they confirmed they never wanted anyone to learn anything or to be wholesome like other shows at that time.
There was a certain line that reminds me of probably the best Norm Macdonald line on a talk show. It's on "Norm's Wife is a Real Battle Axe", on Conan.
I think we've all known a "George" type charactor in our lives to one degree or another. LOL It's hard to believe Jerry was the closest one to being normal on the show! Greorge, Elaine, Kramer, Newman, their parents...all nuts!
The Show characters, which was revealed in the last episode, have questionable morality. Jerry ,Kramer, Elaine, and George are people one probably would not want to yourfriends.
Anybody who watches “Seinfeld” for the first time, and finds it funny. Eh…can’t start in the middle. I’m of the age where I grew up on Seinfeld, but it’s the second best “character building” show of all time…”Always Sunny’s” is hands down, “if you don’t know the characters, you’ll never understand”….
I definitely hope you all keep doing Seinfeld and start from the beginning. Though I WILL say as a huge fan of the show, the first season or so is a little slow to get off the ground, as everyone was warming up in their roles and everything, but it’s still funny. Just that it really hits its stride by season 3 and only gets better over time after that. There are very few channels doing Seinfeld reactions, and sadly one of the few good ones just announced this morning that they are probably going to stop doing it, so I think you all will pick up a ton of views if you stick with it.
Hahahaha, I like that intro Tasha! Singing the "TNT", pausing, then "Reactions", hahaha. You need to record it officially as the channel's jingle, haha.
What George should have responded with after hearing the dude's wife was in a coma, is : "Really?? Wow, it seems I don't know my own strength!!" (implying his sexual prowess put her in the coma), lol. Hell, maybe that is the unspoken comeback he thought of while driving away (and then turning back).
