Always a pleasure to watch someone who listens to Volbeat for the first time. "Still Counting" is a great song with an awesome live version from the Wacken festival in Germany. Lots of people like their song "For Evigt", which I think is a pop song compared to most of their other stuff, but for some reason it really hits home with most people. :D
Was at their 2012 Wacken concert and was hoping to find a live version of 16 Dollars, because it was so awesome with he dude with the stand up bass. He even wound up standing on top of his bass a couple of times
Loved watching your reaction because I discovered Volbeat accidentally at age 54 2017 and have been blown away and down the rabbit hole into every song of theirs ever since. While there are a few I don’t care for, most all of them are fantastic. This guy (Michael Poulsen) just “gets it”, when it comes to rock n roll. PERIOD!!!
As a Dane, I always get excited when I see these reactions to awesome bands from our tiny, little country. I freaking love this band. I have been going to their shows since they were relatively unknown and it´s been great to see them evolve into this power house
michael poulsen the singer of Volbeat is a big Elvis Presley fan. He has a picture of Elvis tattooed on his left arm and then he has Elvis Aaron Presley in big letters on his forearm and JR Cash on his chest. His music is inspired from 50s-60s music to Metallica and punk. I myself am a big Elvis fan and love his music. Volbeat, Elvis and JR Cash go on repeat at my house anyway. Have been to 4 Volbeat concerts here at Home in Sweden. They are so fucking good live. He's a damn good voice. If they come to the USA again, I recommend that you go. You really won't be disappointed. Please more Volbeat for the people :D
Volbeat is my all time favorite band and i LOVE their older songs from 2004-2010. Their newer songs are more pop-like but still good. I highly recommend a reaction to any song from the 2007 tour. My favorit is '''THE HUMAN INSTRUMENT''.
Ive always said Volbeat is what woukd have happened if Elvis and Johnny Cash started Metallica instead of James and Lars. The singer is also a huge Johnny and Elvis fan, as if you couldnt tell.
energy level at volbeat concert reminds me of motorhead concerts was there cheers from denmark should have checked the 2013 rock am ring ring of fire sad mans version 😁 was there Guitarist is former Anthrax
Alot of reactions I have seen they mention he sounds like Elvis, your correct, it's Johhny Cash. I saw them live at Rock USA in Oshkosh, Wi. He actually opens Sad Man's Tongues with a Johnny Cash song. I don't recall, but it might of been Fulsom Prison, it's kind of the same music line so I assume that was the one. You got that one correct, most reactions lean to Elvis
I'm actually Brad's dad...for some reason my You Tube uses his account. I am wrong, this is not Oshkosh from 2017 but he does Ring of Fire prior to Sad Man's Tongue. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-gDKrR9RHw2o.html @@TouchyReactions
Sad Mans Tongue is said to be one song in a trilogy. The others are "Mr. and Mrs. Ness", and "Danny and Lucy" and I believe there are even ties to "Fire Song"
From their influences of country/folk/rock Elvis, Cash, Hank etc i used to jokingly say they were the beat of the Vols/Tennessee Vols/Volbeat...their name doesn't mean that but it would actually make sense if it did 😆 lead singer said he used to listen to his dads records of country folk n rock and thats what made him love music
The singer and frontman Michael Poulsen is a hugh Johnny Cash and Elvis fan, Volbeat is from Denmark, you should try lokk up the live version off there songs, its so much better
I think Volbeat is more like Elvis and J.C. were sitting around one night and Lemmy showed up and they got wasted and came up with a new sound!😎🤘🏻🔥🤘🏻🔥🤘🏻😱
Still counting .. wild rovers of hell. 🤘🤘🤘. Also literally anything Volbeat including their cover of Metallica's don't tread on me. Sheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeesh
I haven't heard a bad Volbeat song yet.Lola Montez,Mary Jane Kelly,Garden's Tale,Lonesome Rider,Still Conting and so many more great ones.Sadly the band broke up this year with Michael starting a new band without Rob on lead guitar.
That's a load of bull, the band didn't break up or started a new band.. Rob wanted to try something new after 10 years in the band, and Volbeat continues with a temp lead guitarist, Flemming C. Lund (from The Arcane Order), for the remaining concert this year.. Remains to be seen if he will be permanent replacement..
Volbeat as a Band have 4 Big Influences.. Elvis, Johnny Cash, Metallica, and the Last 1 is Debatable... either Misfits or Social Distortion. I Have Misfits on My Volbeat Tribute Battle Jacket as They do Quote Live "Do You Like Misfits, We Like Tje Misfits" and then They Cover "Angelf*ck" by the Misfits.
the way michael poulsen sings can be a bit odd, when he doesnt force a region specific american accent to his singing, his english is definitely having that danish accent to it but when like he does a southern american accent it can sound very much like as if he was from there
Try also by Volbeat The Everlasting 7 Shots Lola Montez Shotgun Blues I could go on forever but these, along with the ones you just reacted to, show their diversity, and how they kick ass no matter what style they play
