I've always thought that Angelina shines best in intimate settings, accompanied by just a piano, or just a guitar. The better you can hear her voice, the more astonishing her talent appears. I'm so glad that Angelina could help you two get to know each other a little better.

This song was how I first discovered Angelina Jordan. I was searching for the book of the same title by Erwin Schrodinger, lol. She gave a very different answer to the question, but a profound one nonetheless. Now my life has been profoundly changed for the better by all her music, especially her original songs.❤

To the last video!!! The Staff Band of the Norwegian Armed Forces (Forsvarets stabsmusikkorps) recorded the album "It's Magic" with 16 tracks in 2017/18 to mark the 200th anniversary and released it under their record label Forsvarets Musikk. Because of the special anniversary, they asked Angelina (Angelina was 11y) to do the vocals on the album. As a special tribute to Angelina, two originals by Angelina were also released on the album. On June 16, 2018, for the official celebrations and tribute to the orchestra, there was this spectacular concert "It's Magic' with many test screep prominent guests including the Prime Minister at the time, Erna Solberg ( btw, a huge Angelina fan, her own words) . 👣💯 *AJ* 💯👣

Nice reaction guys. She is definitely 12 in the 1st and the last video and probably in the 2nd as well. She first recorded the song at age 11 for her first album called It’s Magic. The final performance was a concert to promote the album that she made with the orchestra that is accompanying her.
This is quite the first composition. Ivan Mendez's presence means that Angelina was age 12. The pianist is a friend of hers and also appears in her 7th Heaven music video playing the upright bass. Great reaction, guys!
The pianist is Dylan Meeks. A multi-instrumentalist that has accompanied AJ a couple of times. He’s originally from TX but went to Juilliard or some other musical conservatory back east before landing in LA.

Great comments: I have listened to this many times and it has grown on my continually... I got serious goosebumps this time, particularly from the amazing ending... The whole of that concert with the (excellent) Norwegian military band was fantastic by the way... you can see from the videos that they were in awe of Angelina (and very fond of her ). And by the way: you can see her live in the US in September.. she will be having a concert there and I believe there are still some seats available...
The second concert was a celebration of the 200th year of existence of this band "The Staff Band of the Armed Forces" of Norway, As the guests were handpicked, including the government of Norway, no professional filming equipment was allowed. This band has a tremendous love and respect for Angelina. I mean, when a middle aged seasoned, experienced conductor asks a 11 year old, during rehearsals for advice in front of the whole band. Come one..... I think that alone shows how much they respect their National Treasure. And I have to correct myself here. The people of Norway declared Angelina. SHE IS NOT A NOBLE WOMAN OF NORWAY. A Norwegian kindly corrected me here. Non the less her people hold her in high esteem to this day and many a scandinavian musician feels honored to work with and for her.

I credit the incredibly good sound you're hearing to her new microphone (which she received as a birthday present when she turned 12). It made a HUGE difference in her recordings.
BTW: Ryan, I think you promised to take Cindy to a live AJ show, so you better snag tickets for her Portsmouth, NH concert on Sept.22! Also, a couple of thoughts: I believe Angelina is 12 in ALL of these performances (the only difference is her clothes & hair, which can make her look older or younger). Also, having played clarinets & saxophones my whole life (I'm in my 70s), the lovely solo you heard was a sax (not a clarinet) -- although there a plenty of lovely clarinet parts in this recording. You might want to watch a few more of the tracks from this "CD Release Concert" for her "It's Magic" album, as the Norwegian Armed Forces band is excellent. Keep up the good work!

The band in the first life performance is the same as in Norway 2022. As I understood it, this was a intimate charity concert at Christmas 2018. She changed multiple times her outfit in this happening. Glad to have you back with us and Angelina. Elmar from Germany

Yes, Meri Zamani (Angelina’s Grandma) is a painter and poet. As a matter of fact, like her granddaughter Angelina, Mery’s artistic ability was discovered at a very early age too. Mery was a prodigy at six years old in her native Iran. For an example of Mery’s artwork (among others) check out Angelina’s colorful outfit when she performed “Bohemian Rhapsody” at America’s Got Talent. Her pantsuit was sewn together by both Mery AND Angelina, and the material they used had images of Mery’s artwork silkscreened upon it! 😳 … 😊🥰 🎶❤️👣

I hear what you say about this being a good introductory song to recommend, but for me, I'm glad I heard this song after I'd seen many of her performances and learned a bit about her family, especially Grandma Mery and little sister Juliette. Hearing the lyrics about those two special family members rang a tone for me that I might have not appreciated so much if I started off with this song. I would have gotten it eventually however. On a side note - who gets to sing with the Norwegian Armed Forces Band??? Thanks again....TM
Welcome back you guys. The fans have answered you questions and feedback so I'll just say that I love format you have been using. When you can cover three performances in one reaction you reduce the number of videos in her library by that same amount. That helps whittle it down some. But there are some songs that would not fit into this format. For instance 'Fly Me to the Moon' has 1/2 dozen or more videos of that performance. Same with 'What a Difference a Day Makes'. But I love the format when you can do it. Your evaluation is spot on as usual and if you have a question, let us know, Guarantee the Angels will answer it hopefully respectfully.🙂Or offer corrections and insights which should add to your knowledge of Angelina and her journey. As mentioned, her in Concert in Portsmouth NH September 22, may be one of the last times to see her in an intimate setting. That's why I felt so blessed to be able to be there for it. And guess what. We'll have 1/2 a dozen of her new originals that she can sing for us. I hope she does them all. She will have enough of her own originals to do a full concert of just originals if she wanted. And more this fall, hopefully before the concert. I do love her covers however and hope she does some of both. They still have tickets available last I checked running about $130 - $240 or so. Angelina's grandma is famous Iranian artist and poet. She is not a singer. Angelina was the oldest in the first video and I believe the last video she was the youngest. She does look older in a dress.
Maternal grandma Mery Zamany is a painter and poet since childhood. Angelina inherited her talent from the poetess. I also was told by an Angel, who met Sarah and Angelina in 2022, that the women are all highly intelligent. As for playing multiple instruments, often it seems that Angelina isn´t very good with them. That is not true, I saw a rehearsal video from her when she was around 11 or 12, she played piano a few notes like she didn´t know how to do it.... and suddenly she turned into a virtuoso playing like a pro. The same goes with her guitar. I suspect her to concentrate on her vocals and lets others to the instrumentals.

Mary her Grandma is painter and poet. Do not believe she was a singer that I am aware. Mary definitely was there for many of her performances and gave encouragement, not sure if she ever provided music advice. Closest I remember is interactions durring Im fool to want you and how she was performing. Angelina has been arranging and directing since she 7 that I am aware.
