Toby actually left the band way back as he is coder...for apple. So good he came back and bring joy instead of misery. (band was founded as a joke. Now it's album of the year)
WBTBWB's Guitar mixing is so powerful and clean. Alongside how funny they are, everything remains so heavy while remaining so clean and not mushing up into just noise. LOVE THIS BAND.
You guys are having so much fun! I have to laugh so hard too though I've watched that music video a dozen times already. Most reactors look disgusted or just confused, not you! Really amazing! So glad you burst out laughing so often because this stuff is simply hilarious!
Yes, that's the sound I love ;) In the beginning it was the 2 guys, Tobias "sings" and Marcel is responsible for the complete sound. Then in 2010 Tobias had other plans and left the band. A few new people joined (among others Axel Goldmann - Axel One on his Hypa Hypa version) and some masterpieces like "Berlin! Berlin!", "Klicks. Likes. Fame. Geil!" or "Ich mach was mit Medien" were created. In 2019 the new singer Paul left the band and shortly after it was clear that all the others were out and Tobias was back - this song was the first in the original line-up. The Hypa Hypa cover by the way the 2nd number. "N!ce" became the 4th (after "20 km/h") song since the reunion. ALL mentioned titles I can only recommend. And I can only thank you again and again - the fun to discover new things, that's just great. Hope my English is slowly getting better and I'm looking forward to the next song you "aufdreht" / turn up.
By the way, a quick word about the banana: The Nokia 8110, which was also used in "Matrix", was very successful in Germany and generally known only by the German word for banana. Tobi is a very successful programmer for cell phones, among others "Circles" or "Happy Stretch" are games by him that were quite successful on iOS around 2014/15. He still works in the media field as Senior Vice President Engineering at Zapp, London, UK. That's why the little allusion with the banana phone ;) 📱
All jokes aside, their music is so fucking underrated. The instrumentals, the vocals, the creative sections and breakdowns are so fucking fresh and groovy. Damn
No, the song is not about sex. It means "turn (it) up!", but can also be translated to "twist it open", which is why they do that to a few things in the video. Basically, they're just saying "turn it up, let loose, let the bass be felt in your stomach. The lyrics aren't much more than that but I can translate if you'd like me to^^ Also, that part where you asked what he said was "WBTBWB wieder da", so "WBTBWB (are) back again"
Whipped up a quick translation for you: Dude, turn it up Turn it up (different phrasing) The neighbours want it too Just let it (all) out We turn it up The bass presses into the gut it blasts the windows out (of the frame) Everyone's going crazy Let it (all) out Everyone's going crazy Don't be a whimp (just an approximation) Turn it up! WBTBWB back again Turn it up in your car Turn it up in the bathroom This song is a banger like a gun, it hits really hard Dude, turn it up Turn it up (different phrasing) The neighbours want it too Until the speaker starts smoking Just let it (all) out We turn it up The bass presses into the gut it blasts the windows out (of the frame) Everyone's going crazy Turn it up WBTBWB back again Turn it up WBTBWB back again Let it (all) out Everyone's going crazy Don't be a whimp Everyone's going crazy Dude, turn it up Turn it up (different phrasing) The neighbours want it too Until the speaker starts smoking Just let it (all) out We turn it up The bass presses into the gut it blasts the windows out (of the frame) Everyone's going crazy Turn it up WBTBWB back again
@@ThunderRooster It should also be mentioned that "Dreh auf" not only means turn it up but also: untwist or unscrew or open something or bascially "turn something to open it". Which explains a lot of things that are happening in the video
@@ThunderRooster and I think the word you tried to say was "Mäuschenspeck". Which literally translates to "mouse bacon" and is basically the exact same stuff, usually sold in the shape of mice.
This stuff is very similar to the sweets, that the singer of Eskimo Callboy had in his mouth in the Hypa Hypa video. You have also been wondering about it back then ;)
@@tiefseehase9503 Mäusespeck is just the german term for marshmallows, regardless of whether they are actually mouse shaped like the "Weiße Mäuse" from Haribo. And I don't like that stuff either :D
At 5:18 he said "WBTBWB wieder da" - WBTBWB means We Butter The Bread With Butter, the first letters of every Word in the Bandname... "wieder da" means that "they are back"
Dude, turn it up (dreh auf), make [it] loud, the neighbors want it too, until the speaker smokes, simply let it all out. We turn it up. The Bass pushes into the stomach. It/He (the bass) bangs the windows out. Everybody freaks out/ goes ballistic/ goes wild. Let it out! Everyones freaking out. 5:23 "WBTBWB wieder da!" = WBTBWB back again! (With all consonates not spoken like in the alphabet but like they are used in words)
Man... am I looking forward to the Hypa Hypa covers with you guys :D As something a little bit different from the german metal scene (and also kind of a must-see imo) you definitely should give Blind Guardan - Bard's Song & Valhalla at Wacken 2016 a go. Participating in this one is basically a rite of passage for german metalheads and the crowd participation is just phenomenal, goose bumps every time.
2:18 That's a Marshmallow in Germany they were/are sold in triangular plasticbags, the Marshmallows themselves are colored yellow on the one side and piggy rose on the other side, rhombus-shaped and they are called Schweinespeck (Pork flab /piggy bacon) or Mäusespeck (Mice bacon) . Google "Hitschler frisia" (It's Hitschler NOT Hitler) or Haribo Chamallows (It's Haribo NOT Hitler) .
You guys are living and breathing ROFL-Copters. You make me completely lose it even though I saw this and other pieces you react to dozens of times already xDDD
I happen to be an owner of a blue bicycle with pink flowers on the basket, and in this context this music video makes me an extra tiny little bit more happy.
They're a duo now, the same duo as when they founded the band. There were some changes (additions/departures) along the way but now it's back to this pair of beautiful minds. Still would love for you guys to check out either Dexcore - "Earthworm" or Paledusk - "Black Ice" very different vibes from each other but seeing your take on either would be grand.
After doing the Hypa Hypa covers you guys have to check out the band called Nanowar of Steel. Songs like... - Valhalleluja - Norwegian Reggaeton - La Polenta Taragnarock - And Then I Noticed That She Was a Gargoyle (Yes, that's the title) - Uranus ...will fit very well with the songs you guys are currently listening to.
der tag an dem die welt unterging, schlaf kindlein schlaf, fuchs du hast die ganz, do all there old stuff, ... do all old and 2019 of we butter, there so fn great
I love how much fun you guys have with this stuff, your laughter is very infectious. Clicks Likes Fame Geil is great for seeing them when they were a full band (yes they are just two guys doing all everything nowadays, back to the original 2) and that video is wonderful. N!CE as well for a song about a beautiful day and a guy having a good time. Lol when Tobi does that strange snarled part of the song he's doing the band letters, "WBTBWB Weider Da" basically WBTBWB are back. It's great fun joining in when you get the hang of it: "Vubba Tubba Vubba Veeder Daa"
In the catagory of fun metal. Alestorm - Drink / Sunken norwegian / fucked with an achor / mexico or maybe Nanowar of Steel - Norwegian regeaton / or around christmas -> Valhalleluja As for good Norwegian symphonic black metal. Dimmu Borgir - The Mourning palace (live @ Wacken)
I am loving your vids, you guys are hilarious and it´s just plain fun enjoying these with you - both the ones i have and also the ones haven´t seen before. If you feel like taking a break from german metalcore i know this pretty cool band in Iceland that i also know is a big fan of both Eskimo Callboy and WBTBWB. It´s called "While My City Burns" and i recommend the video for the song "Shoko".
I enjoy your reactions. Watched it multiple Times. I know you have a tons of request, but i will also leave two request for you. Number one: Heilung | LIFA - Alfadhirhaiti LIVE and the second is brutus - all along. Keep on doing, you two are a great combo.
The metal community is going nuts over Trivium’s newest album, “In The Court of the Dragon” because it’s awesome. I’d love to see a reaction to the guitar play-through of “Blood Orange” by Berried Alive. There is also an animated music video with the vocals.
Great reaction as always. As far as I consern about We Butter The Bread With Butter, they was a two-piece band from foundation untill like 2010, when Tobias (vocalist in the video you reacted) left the band to became a programmist (I may be misstaken here). Then they enter the stage as the full band from 2010 untill 2019 (Klicks. Likes. Fame. Geil MV is the prime example of this stage in their sound) when Tobias returned and they became two-piece band again)) but somebody really need to fact check me on this)
@@ThunderRooster you’re welcome. I prefer both stages of the band though, because each adds something that makes me interested and hooked in the WBTBWB’s music again and again))
Found you Guys from a "We got the Moves Reaction" I´m from Austria and we have some funny Metal Bands Like Kontrust or Ruskaja, maybe you wanna check them out XD
