You ladies should be ashamed of yourself, I am incredibly offended as a man - Barry is just not some object of your desire to stare at. He’s a human , you look at his chest & hair but don’t ask if he’s intelligent. Poor poor Berry being treated like a piece of meat by you female chauvinist. 😂😂😂
Donna... as soon as Barry started singing, your face looked like it went back to a skate rink, or a school gymnasium... they were so much a part of our lives back in the day... I am right there with you... every time.
"Too Much Heaven" is a song by the Bee Gees, which was the band's contribution to the "Music for UNICEF" fund. They performed it at the Music for UNICEF Concert on 9 January 1979. “Too Much Heaven” hit #1 on the US charts and helped raise over $10 million for UNICEF since! Peace out.
The Everly Brothers did that superb harmony thing with two brothers voices, and The Bee Gees did it with 3 brothers voices. So glad I witnessed both as I was growing up during the 50s and 60s and so on
There were 4 brothers in all. Barry is the last surviving brother and just turned 78 on Sept. 1st, which was also his 54th Wedding Anniversary with his wife Linda.
They donated the proceeds from this song to UNICEF which is an organization to help children around the world. It has raised over 10 Million Dollars so far.
Rest in peace, Robin Gibb and Maurice Gibb. You will never be forgotten. 😢❤Now only Barry Gibb is left on earth by The Bee Gee's. I remember the great Disco era in the 70s. That's how old I am. ;) "You Should Be Dancing". In 1977, the group hit it big again after writing some songs for the soundtrack of the movie Saturday Night Fever. "Stayin' Alive", "Night Fever" The film Saturday Night Fever where Tony Manero (John Travolta) lives and works in a hardware store. But every Saturday he puts on a shirt with wide cuffs, flared trousers and platform shoes and goes to the disco club where he is the king of the dance floor. The movie that made John Travolta famous.
No David you have heard it wrong! He IS ALIVE! Who ever had tell you something else, had it also wrong. You can go and seek for your self and you’ll see that.
@@DavidClark-es1ww Barry Gibb is very much alive! I am 11 days older than he is and he just turned 78 years old on September 1, 2024 which is also his anniversary 53-years with his Linda.
I still get goosebumps hearing the Bee Gee's. Takes me back to the 70's, me and my older sister listening on vinyl together 🥹🫶 they're still unique to this day.
BEE GEES .. They are GREAT and had one of the best albums ever. (Saturday Night Fever) it was the disco era and every song charted which is rare. They also stared in the movie version of ... Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band ...Peter Frampton and the Bee Gees were the Band. The movie is packed with celebrities and stars of the day and past. Musicians. singers, and actors.
This is where I came in (one of the last tracks they did), For Whom the Bell Tolls, You Win Again, Spicks and Specks, Spirits (Having Flown), New York Mining Disaster 1941
I was born in 1964 the last year of the Baby Boomers, I am 59 years old and the Bee Gees are my favorite group and Elvis is my favorite singer. Please react to the Bee Gees song Fanny Be Tender With My Love.
The panty droppers of the 70s!! RIP Robin and Maurice, we love and miss you!!🫶 RIP Andy! “Our Love (Don’t Throw it all Away). The Bee Gees sang this song ‘with Andy’ as a memory and tribute to Andy!! You’ll love that performance in Australia!
these guys were in absolute command of their material in every sense. a truly romantic group of songwriters. i suggest "fanny be tender", "jive talkin", and "run to me". some of their earlier material such as "massachusetts", "i started a joke", and "new york mining disaster" are also worth a listen.
I feel this is their best song that would be amazing to hold your high school sweet hearts hand skating under a disco light with this playing that would be beautiful
Hottest Pea Boy in town Barry the Lion hair Barry Gibb in 27" inch jeans with long strides like Cindy Crawford in white super tight jeans with an epic falsetto - every banger wents straight to #1 Night Fever, More than a Woman, Tragedy, Stayin Alive, How Deep is Your Love , Love You Inside Out alone sold 100 million records 🔥
Andy has often been referred to as "Barry's twin"... his looks, his voiceI I just sat here trying to decide which song was my favorite BUT I finally had to give it up! Too many! Words...For Whom the Bell Tolls, Wedding Song, and Immortality just to name a few! ❤
They’ve been in this game just a lil’ over a yr and got over 11M views - that’s dope!! I’ll be lucky if I get 4 likes in my Gram with my awesome 62 followers 😂🤘🏻
Check out the live version of You Should Be Dancing feat. Andy Gibb (their younger brother). Another great Bee Gees song are the title track from their last album This Is Where I Came In. RIP Maurice, Robin and Andy.
I've had to reassess the Bee Gees the older I've gotten. Disco gets a lotta crap but these guys are phenomenal musicians. Their harmonies alone are some of the best and this in a time where you had The Beach Boys and The Carpenters knocking around the scene. I don't have any of their music videos saved but when I listen to one I can appreciate what they're doing.
So nice to see their reactions from their own perspective generations. The grand mother recalling the moments of her youth and the times of her falling in love, while the mother remembering hearing them probably as a young girl and/or teenage years when the songs had been hits, and the young woman imagining and thinking about her future love.
Thank you, this is my moms favorite song. There's not a day goes by that I play it for her. Before she was bedridden and under hospice care I would dance with her to this song. Thank you again, this means a lot to me.
@KathyLuluandDonna I just subscribed to your channel! (The Brothers Gibb). Barry (in the middle, is the oldest. And yes, I had a crush on him back in the day). The other two (Robin & Maurice) are fraternal twins. They had a younger brother (Andy Gibb) who had a great solo career. He was too young to join his older brothers at that time. Please! Please! React to more! Here’s a list with my interpretation of what genre I think they fall under: Too Much Heaven (R&B) Went to #1 YOU JUST DID THIS ONE How Deep Is Your Love (R&B Ballard), went to #1 Staying Alive (disco), went to #1 Night Fever (disco), went to #1 You Should Be Dancing (R&B or disco), went to #1 Fanny be tender with my love (R&B). Quincy Jones said this was his favorite R&B song. It’s a favorite of mine too. Jive Talking (R&B), went to #1 Nights on Broadway (R&B/Funk)..you’ll hear the brothers “natural” voices in this song. Tragedy (Techno? Pop) It also went #1 More than a woman (Disco/R&B) One of the best love songs ever made! Love you inside out (Funk/pop), went to #1 To love somebody (R&B) One of their earlier hits, from 1967!!! You’ll see how young they were. Massachusetts (pop/country), went to #1 Wind of Change (funk/r&b), live 1975 from the Midnight Special or live from their 1979 Spirits tour. They sing in their natural voices on this song. Alone (pop): One of the songs they made late in their career. Love So Right (R&B), One of Barry’s best falsetto songs ever. Words (pop, 1979 Spirits Tour). Barry pours his heart out on this song and they show his wife & son on screen some while he was performing it. Lonely Days (pop). One of the first songs they wrote after they got back together when they briefly broke up in 1969 then got back together in 1970 to write this. You Win Again (pop), If you want to hear some 80’s Bee Gees, this is a good one. Went #1 in the UK Run to Me (pop) How Can you mend a broken heart (R&B). The other song they wrote when they first got back together after a brief breakup. It was also their first #1 in the US Kiss of Life (rock). Shows a diverse side of them. One (pop), their last top 10 hit in the US Wedding Day (pop), a single they wrote for their wives! All of them had been married for a while. Barry is will married to this day to Linda for over 53 years! Rest Your Love on Me Awhile (country). Shows diversity! Bodyguard (R&B), Robb really shines on this song that could have been played on any R&B radio station! For Whom the Bell Tolls (pop), again, Robin shines on this one. Blue Island - live (pop). This song shows the perfect blend & harmony the brothers have. Especially if you do the acoustic one. Just the 3 of them with 2 guitars! Our Love, Don't Throw it all away-Bee Gee's or Andy's version (pop). After their brother Andy passed, they started performing this during shows in honor of him. Secret Love (pop). I love the best to this song! Barry & Robin leads. This is Where I Came in (live) (pop). From the very last CD they ever released. There is a live version out there from a tv show. That's a great one to see how they have evolved into the 2000's! The 1989 One for all tour medley (excellent vocals & some humor). This is a little long (over 12 min), but they go through about 7-9 songs in this medley with just the 3 of them around 1 mic either Barry in the guitar.
You guys need to check out the early music and can find it on RU-vid in the form of The Midnight Special. They were on there a lot and were great. They do a beautiful Beatles tribute which is spectacular. Bee Gees love forever
These guys can do any genre of music. However, they hated getting type cast as a disco band. As children they made appearences on TV stations as early as 1958. RIP Maurice & Robin and, Andy. (Bee Gees = Brothers Gibb) Well known fun fact Maurice and Robin were twins.
The brothers Gibb migrated to Australia, with their parents, at young age. They were soon singing on local TV and started recording in Australia, in their teens. After having a couple of hits, they went back to England, and the rest is history.
Lulu, what you are doing is awsome and beautiful. Treasure these moments, treasure the music, because this is real music and the company. Enjoy many more moments and enjoy spending time with your people. Those moments are precious. Nice reaction. Have a nice day and weekend
Hi girls, sending love from Australia....Liked and Subscribed....I'm here for more Bee Gees lol....and perhaps more Aussie artists...So so grateful that we have so many video's of them to enjoy....and yes The Bee Gees were 3 brothers but they also had a younger brother Andy....who did a few cameo appearances with them but had his own band etc. Sadly he died at a young age... Looking forward to go check out what else you have in your channel....
They are Brits born in the Isle of Man . Never gave up their British citizenship. Moved to Australia from Manchester England in 1958 when Barry was nearly 12 and the twins nearly 9. Only 9 years in Australia before returning to England.
@@teviottilehurst What's your point? The whole family migrated here and the brothers performed on many TV shows here....I met the twins personally....When the older brothers went to the UK the family remained here with Andy.....We Aussies loved them and still do....So again I ask "What's your point?"
@justlinsu my point is that they are British artists, not Australian artists, as you claim. Robin and Maurice were born British and died British and Barry is British-American, okay.
To Much Heaven this performance was for a UNICEF children charity event, the Bee Gees donated the proceeds to the children’s charities, and they raised millions of dollars, The brothers so phenomenal and talented, I attended a Bee Gees concert in Las Vegas in 1997 , the concert was called, one night only and they were absolutely incredible live, this performance no auto tune in that performance just pure talent, great reaction thanks 🙏
im from 1980 i can feel the pain from our generation on what music has become, i can only imagine the greater pain from people from the 60's or 70's. As i usually say, there are musicians and there's people who play music, we ain't getting none of the 1st lately
React to The Outfield "Your Love". Three main members of the band have unfortunately passed on except for one. The keyboard player was blind. The band hailed from London, England. The song was filmed in Astoria, New York.
Oh wow what a beautiful song, never heard this one before, i remember these guys from Saturday Night Fever, the guy in the middle has some voice, great reaction guys 👍
The Bee Gees are Australian! They come from Sydney, a suburb called Redcliffe, just north of central Sydney, originally born in the Isle of Man in the UK but immigrated to Australia at a very young age effectively growing up as Australian kids :-). I used to see them in the pubs when they first started up touring.
if you watch the bee gees story you'll see and hear barry saying "we're just three MANCUNIANS" these guys are from CHORLTON-CUM-HARDY in manchester just down the the road from i used to live in withington .
Not quite correct ...as they grew up in Manchester England when they came over from the Isle of Man...my dad went to school with Barry his claim to fame...😅
Started singing here in manchester Chorlton area zeppelin road went to school here. Until they emigrated to Australia andy Gibb was born in manchester same year as me 1958. Barry still owns their childhood home and returns back every few years to touch base
They were so amazing... I feel so bad for Barry now.. he's buried 3 brothers.. and he was the oldest.. I've lost my one sibling.. my older sister 9 yrs ago.. I miss her everyday.. I can't imagine the pain Barry Gibb goes through losing 3 younger brothers.
If you guys are feeling daring. & you would like a guaranteed good laugh or two ( plus a probable bunch of blushes), try watching the 'Men With Pans' performance on AGT from 2017. You'll never look at frying pans the same way again.
The Bee Gee's literally did this their entire lives. There are videos of them performing on Television when they were 12 and 13 years old, not to mention the songs I remember from the 60's, then into the disco era in the 70's. They wrote lost of music for other artists and produced recordings for others. The Conway Twitty hit song, "Rest Your Love On Me A While", was written by Barry Gibb. The song "Grease" for the movie soundtrack, and others like "Islands In The Stream" by Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton. They were very talented guys.
As I take my last breath and my spirit leaves the body and I head into the light to see my loved ones and I leave Earth. I think this is the theme. Tune the song that we'll be playing as I go into the light
I love all the BeeGees music especially their early songs, one of my all time favorites is I Started A Joke, with Robin on lead vocals! Did you know that Robin and Maurice were twins, however Barry is the only one still alive.
guyss what you need to watch head of the house will remember, as you saw there are 3 on stage, but there were 4 brothers, andy gibb, did his own careeer, voice very much like barry gibb they did a tribute to andy, who died early drugs i think it was, they did a song with andy, even tho he passed, this was in vegas, 1997 i think it, was, he is in the background, and it looks like the 4 brothers singing together along with some old family photo's and video please do that one, link is below copy and paste Bee Gees - Our Love (Don't Throw It All Away) (Live in Las Vegas, 1997 - One Night Only)
im going to say this now sorry, well im not sorry, but this needs to be said, its a positve, but will be longer than a normal comment, first off, for me this is the greatest reaction channel on you tube. because we have 3 generations, head of the house is my age, we go back girl to the best era ever, the best music, disco's no tech, boy and girl met and danced, we courted the one we loved, there was no text, there was no arguing over text, our lives and loved was face to face, when apart, we missed each other, not texting 24/7 it was great times, and the music with legends, both male female, groups Then you watch your family watch with you, I see memories flood back in your face, as they do with me, because we have lived a life in a different era, then you have your daughter, who, will have heard these songs playing, from yourself, but as they she became teenager, the music had changed, fashin changing, tech starting to come in, then you see todays teenager in the middle of you, she will no doubt listen to a different genre of music, but watching her reaction, and how she gets with the older stuff as the boss of the house, you can see she was born in the wrong era, i could see her being an 80's girl, she would have been perfect for that era, she has wonderful ear for music
Lulus Fashion and Hair segment . . . As Donna said . . . Its the Bee Gees . . What more can be said . . I remember they were so popular at one point radio stations were advertising Bee Gee free days . . Till next time take care ladys . Bye from 💐💐💐 NZ👋🇳🇿🍻twa The Bee Gees in mankinis Kathy 😱🤣
