So….RM changed a few lyrics ( "friend " to chance, and "breath " to face ) . Why ? Because although this song was done for the passing of Notorious B.I.G , BTS’s version is done because of the pandemic. Chance , in reference to having the chance to visit people, and to see half your face , in reference to taking off your mask that’s covering half your face. Each one on the vocal line can hit those high notes. Jimin the third from the left and Jin the 5th from the left hit even higher notes. Jungkook the 4th from the left is the main vocalist and can also hit those high notes but does extremely well at ad-libs. There is never going to be a song that BTS does an original or cover that isn't superb they simply wouldn't put it out.
They did a few other songs for BBC radio 1, you should check them out too. The western/cowboy vibe is how they did their permission to dance video and they performed it here too. That's why they're dressed that way. They wear different clothes for butter & dynamite I believe
BTS have done a few great collabs but one of my favourites was Dream Glow with Charlie XCX. I think you will like it. It sounds like an odd combo but it really is amazing.💜
I grew up before the Every Breath You Take, but once it was released, I enjoyed it. I admit I didn't hear the P Diddy/Faith Evans version until BTS came out with their cover, but I loved Faith's voice. This BTS version is quite good. I guess it is impossible for them to do anything not good. A lot of effort and dedication. I'm glad you enjoyed it.

Sorry but this cover isn’t very good. There’s no true emotion to the performance and with the original it was a tribute to a lost loved one/friend. Just feels like a cover for the sake of covering an older song. Along with the remixed beat ruins the emotion.
