THE BIGGEST ENDSHOW IS ACTUALLY ON SATURDAY, BUT THAT ONE IS TOO LONG FOR THIS REACTION, SO I SUGGEST THIS ONE TO GET A TASTE OF IT. THE GENRE IS HARDSTYLE (ON THE FESTIVAL HARDER GENRE'S ARE ALSO PLAYED LIKE HARDCORE AND UPTEMPO) AND THESE ARE THE LAST 10 MINUTES OF THE FESTIVAL. 65.000 PEOPLE ARE IN FRONT OF THIS MAIN STAGE AND 250.000 PEOPLE COME IN TOTAL OVER THE WEEKEND TO SEE 14 DIFFERENT STAGES (11 AT THE FESTIVAL AND 3 FOR THE CAMPING). THIS GENRE IS BIG IN THE NETHERLANDS (ACTUALLY CAME FROM HERE AS WELL) AND MANY SUCH FESTIVALS TAKE PLACE HERE ALMOST EVERY WEEKEND (THOUGH THIS IS THE BIGGEST)

been there this summer in 2023 for all days and seen every endshow as well as the closing pretty much front row...it was INSANE by the way this year on sunday they had like 3 large scale fireworks at night and 2 during the day

Once you attend a Q-dance event, Qlimax or DEFQON1, you are screwed for the rest of your life. The shows, atmosphere, sound quality, lasers, lights, the stages themselves are impressive every year in terms of design and size. The Dutch have simply mastered it, and created a wonderful Festival world with where own music style. 🧡

I'm a huge Metal fan living in the Netherlands. But if you live here you just can't ignore the Hardstyle and Hardcore music that has become this countries biggest festival genre. Therefore each summer i go to both Metal and Hardstyle festivals to have the best experience from both worlds.

Go to Den Bosch for Electric Callboy if you have the chance. Lorna Shore, Epica etc are going, Electric Callboy though mix hardstyle with metal very well! 5th November!

The Netherlands is worldleading in EDM. By miles. We have many styles of festivals with house music. In the 90s the largest subculture amongst youth was gabber. Nowadays called hardcore/oldschool. It was one of the only subcultures in our history that became dominant for a few years. I am glad to have been part of the subculture and it formed the foundation for large scale houseparties and festivals with more than one style being played. I don't now if the documentaries are available to you, but you might want to search about id&t, thunderdome and the organiser of defqon, q-dance. We dutcheis love the harder styles, that are not that popular in the rest of the world, but it has so much energy in the music. These days, when Spring, summer comes, almost any weekend has one or more festivals or houseparties going on. Not all massive like this one, but also smaller more geared towards locals.

Yeah I remember Dutch Hardcore used to be the main sound at raves even here in Sydney Australia back in the 90s. Guys like Paul Elstak, The Prophet etc all toured here. Hardstyle is very popular here now too.

Yeah, we Dutch people know how to have a little party going on. Been like this in the early 90's. It somehow always feels like the last party was Yesterday. It's such a feeling, such a joy in life to live to the max with this kind of music. This is what a 90's kid makes proud about The Netherlands. Our first ever export product was hardcore music, and gosh we fkn LOVE IT and it makes us proud. It really does.

This event takes place every year in the Netherlands and lasts four days. This show is visited by guests all over the world and once tickets go on sale they are often sold out in 15 minutes. Tickets cost 175 euros each and 100,000 people attend. This was the closing show of the entire festival. They also do one on Saturday and they are much nicer and longer. This one was a super show and so was the 2018 one. This year's was also great. You really should check them out.

2023 was my first Defqon and I've been to quite a lot of Festivals but this one? Man never have I witnessed such crazyness but also emotion at an event like here. Will probably from now on go there every year with friends.

Oh wow... thought you would have known about this. Many festivals to watch, but a Defcon1 journey is actually a must. Some amazing videos from a few years ago are really worth watching as well. So many different segments per weekend in seperate videos. My favourites are Defcon1's "Qlimax 2019 Symphony of Shadows" and "Power Hour 2019" Sixty Minutes of Pure Insanity (You could split Power Hour in two.. 😇) Nice reaction, and if you get into it, you'll be amazed by the renewed energy these videos hammering down on you..😃

For the small country we are (Netherlands) we have a lot of these kind of festivals. From dance, techno to the loudest hardcore. Sometimes you have to choose to what festival you go. We also have the biggest dance event in the world in oktober, called ADE (Amsterdam Dance Event)

I worked for many years as a security guard at defqon. This was really the best show in the year. In the Netherlands our first outdoor festival starts at easter and the last one is in septembre. Almost every weekend there is a festval. We have defqon1, zwarte cross, solar festival, Intents festival, Paaspop. We know how to party here in the Netherlands. I love working at the festivals as security guard!!!

i would only agree with sefa but deffently not the 2023 defqon concert, that was one of the worse he did.. the concert at knock festival 2023 had a way better playlist dr peacock is better at bringing in the live preformers then sefa, and sefa proved that in the 2023 defqon concert after all most of what sefa knows he have from dr peacock his uncle sefa is best when he is alone on stage with his piano

Unfortunatly I don’t own a creditcard, and I’m not that technical and understanding in the modern day paying methods…. But really my friends, if I was that technical, I’d request the endshow on saturday. I would have a very difficult time choosing between 2019, 2022 or 2023…. Hoping to see you react on one of these in the near future! A little side story about this closing ritual… Keep in mind this was the 2022 edition, so it was the very first time since 2019 that we’ve had this festival due to corona…. This is just a perfect display of what music means to people…. After 3 years of restrictions worldwide, it finally was again possible to form one tribe, with all of us united from all over the world.. In my opinion, this edition was because of that all the more special…. And that’s why it touches us so deep…. Thank you for reacting! Btw, I’m capable and fermiliar with ‘Tikkie’, so I’m happy to share the costs for a reaction video of a saturday endshow! Looking forward to such video! Would like to contribute a part in some possible way!! P.S: this is a very proud Dutchie due to the fact these styles originated here in The Netherlands!!! I worked for years as a security guard at the festivals in the Netherlands: Defqon1, Qlimax, Intens festival, Rebirth, Mysteryland, Decibel Outdoor, Dance Valley. Loved it!!! We Dutch know how to party almost every weekend from spring to fall and party on inside in the winter. Partyyyyyyu🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉

This is a very beautiful event, I was fortunate to be part of this event in 2016 and 2017 in a very distant country that is Chile, an event grounded in our reality and nothing comparable to how beautiful it is in the country of origin but even so it was something beautiful and I hope one day to return to Chile or if it is possible to travel to the Netherlands.

@@thomas17375 Just to be fair, that's not entirely true... I've been partying for about 25 years, been to over 350 events ...in about a dozen genres. Even though I always seem to get back into hardstyle every few years, all styles appealed to me in some way...and believe me I raved as hard on 120BPM as I did on 150... Just somehow everything Q-dance always had a special place, but that's understandable after being at the very beginning of hardstyle...at the first few Qlimax events, the first defqons and things like Qontact Qlubtempo, X-Qlusive and Q-Base...which haven't really been around for ages. 😅 Many Q-dance events are in my top 20 best events of those 350...they always deliver. ❤

And this is "only" the closing ritual...You absolutely have to watch the aftermovie and the "power hour"...This is a year event and is an entire weekend long...This and the Tomorrowland are the best and most crazy music events in the entire world,with people from all around the world. 🧡 Oh,and you must watch an aftermovie of the Qlimax too...Also that event is f*uckin' crazy.I went to the 2012 edition,i'm 38 y.o. now and damn,that was the best night of my entire life. 🧡🧡🧡

I actually was there and this was the second festival we went to after the COVID lockdowns, so it was really special in that way and after this closing ritual we cried our eyes out of pure emotion. Ive been there this year too and hopefully will go there many more times

Just came along by the algorythm. Great to see your reaction. Been there since 2016 and enjoyed every edition so far. The full weekend experience ticket (4 days) with camping cost about 240 Euro. This is quite ok. The food prices ain't that low, but one is allowed to bring their own food to the camping ground. So most of the spending is done for drinks, merchandise. And yea there're drugs involved for many visitors. This year I spent ~500 euro in total. So a small vacation ;)

2022 endshow are also amazing. This was just like 15 minutes, most endshows are between 20-30 minutes. Then we have power hour and they are as the name say 1 hour or more 😂 defqon is huge in europe. Q dance really knows how to put out a show for the fans. I think the tickets is around 250-500 dollars or something like that. And the weekend festival is 4 days i belive. I have not had the privilige to attend a defqon yet, but before i die it will surly happend 😂😂

I was there the whole weekend and no mather how many times i watch this back, i always get goosbumbs. The saturday endshow is about 22 minutes, in my opinion even better, and deffinetly worth it to watch.

A regular weekend ticket for defqon.1 (4days) costed me 258 euro's this year, probably will be around 280ish euro's end of the month when i get my tickets for 2024. But it depends, you have priority camping spots or chalets that are more expensive

There are few things you imo HAVE to experience at least once in your life; Mediterranean and Indo-Chinese cuisine the 'first time' ( and hopefully a zilion times more...) true love sky-diving a white Christmas see the Milky Way in the night sky xtc (visit and experience heaven while you live, in case you might not get the chance after death) ballooning and attending a Defqon.1 festival!

You guys asked how much it would cost to go there. It would cost you probably a little more than $100 a person, which includes you having fun the whole day, and then ending the day with this amazing show. Sounds worth it, doesn’t it? The festival is 4 days long, expect to pay around $100 everyday you go, but that’s only for entrance. But for a lot of people, it is definitely worth it

I noticed the question about how much it costs to go to this festival. And it's actually not that bad. About €200 for 4 days of this madness with camping included. I live in Sweden and I fly down there for this festival every summer. Been there every year since 2014 (except covid years), but during covid we invited all our Swedish defqon1 friends over and had the party in our house with good sound and some lights. But nothing beats the actual festival.

The Netherlands and Belgium have the best events (planners) and they aren't afraid of thinking outside the cookiecutter box I know that there are stages with moving elements (not just a simple pop-up rotating stage) everything is build to the highest standards, and maximum creativity And do keep in mind: it needs to be build (usually) within a week or so, and be gone a few days after the event that lasts only a day or few days (respect for the builders) and every event it's a different stage Lets hope there will not be a covid like wave for a long time, cause it can kill an industry like this... People need to be able to let off steam at a place like this
