You are right. They are not true rangefinder cameras but I was referencing it is a rangefinder style. Which I know I didn’t explaining clearly. I was just speaking to the fact the the X100 has the ability to use the viewfinder as a optical viewfinder in addition to it as a electronic one.
Great video! Just a couple days ago I've received my first Leica camera ever, (the silver M11) and I absolutely love it. I think you're gonna enjoy it as well!
Amazing. I absolutely had so much fun shooting with the M11 and I love the silver edition. Thanks for watching and leaving the comment. Appreciate your time!
My heart was racing the entire time because you did not have the strap around your neck. That is the first thing I have a person do if I let them try my M11. Great video.
Lol. Yeah in hindsight I should have but I never use a strap when I shoot with my Sony’s 😅 if i get a Leica I will probably start to use one. Which one do you use? Thanks for watching the video. Appreciate your comment. Gave me a chuckle. Also do you post your M11 shots anywhere? Would love to check em out.
Hi Sly! What a beautiful experience it was. Feels good to get excited about using a camera even though I have been using camera’s for so long. Thanks for leaving a comment and watching the video!
Hey filmzfilmz. Thanks man! It was definitely fun and chill to make something a less produced and just on the fly. Fun to just shoot photos. Appreciate you watching!
Yes yes! Fellow Canadian 🇨🇦 You will love Porto especially in May with everything in Bloom. You are going to get epic shots with all the beautiful light in that time! Have a great time and let me know how you like Porto! Thanks for watching and leaving your comment.
I am using an M6. The only problem that I have discovered with the M series is that hardly anyone can use it to take a photo of yourself. You sort of have to prefocus it because they can not use a manual focus and you have to set the F stop and the shutter speed. So that is why an automatic camera can come in handy and sometimes an automatic camera can be faster and much less expensive.
I could see that being an issue especially if the person isn’t inclined to MF cameras. I did however find the focusing quick to pick up and a joy to use. Thanks for leaving a comment. Appreciate it.
Hi Michael, never had a bad word to say about your videos, but the audio on this one was quite terrible. Lots of clipping and very unlike your usual polished stuff. Only bothering to say because I wanted to ask, have you not considered getting the new DJI Mic 2s. They would pair much better with the OP3, plus not only would you get 32-bit float recording in case you messed up your levels, but you can also choose to record audio in the OP3 as well as the mics simultaneously. So you basically get a backup track, plus the backup track in the OP3 will record more ambient which you may find useful to mix in.
Thanks Manny. Yeah audio wasn’t great. It was crazy windy and loud out. But that’s still on me. I had the Synco P2s settings wrong since I’m still getting used to it. But won’t be getting the mic2 . I can use the original DJI mic with the OP3 since I know those mic’s really well. I just opted for the faster option since I was focused more on shooting with the Leica. Anyways. It was a bummer audio peaked so often but it is what it is unfortunately. Thanks for watching though and your constant support. Really appreciate your time.
As I mentioned, My knowledge of rangefinders is limited. But I have seen the Canon AE 1 to be referenced as having Split-image rangefinder encircled by microprism rangefinder is that not the same? Thanks for your comment. Appreciate you watching the video.
@@MichaelNgvyenAE1 is a SLR, which has a mirror and you look thru the lens to focus and compose. Leica M is a rangefinder using two “viewfinders” to measure the distances, when the patches are aligned it’s focused. A simplified answer. 🙂
Yes. Sorry about the audio quality. It suddenly got windy that day and I forgot the dead cats doe the mics. But what he was saying was, he noticed sometimes the camera can freeze up if you use certain memory cards. He mentioned to me that he hasn’t figured out any rhyme or reason. He typically just uses the internal storage of the M11. With a quick google search, I believe there are some articles out on which are the best sd cards to use with the M11. Hope that clarifies things up. Thanks for watching.
Hi. Im actually am working on colour grade process video for the OP3. The d log can definitely tricky to work with from my personal experience. Thanks for leaving a comment!
