I think stepping works well for those coming from another sport where stepping is common (such as baseball, softball, horseshoes) if you already have feel for it and do it naturally without thinking about it. I don’t see why you would switch to stepping though or start out with stepping as a beginner if you don’t have a feel for it from another sport.

the commentary is much improved! way better than the repetitive calling every single bag. good work

Thanks for the update on your experiment. This video was the best to date in terms of editing- great job!

You like this style better then me picking a match?

@gunnerbriz Not necessarily. I understand the quick videos need the format you use for them. The longer versions (normal videos format) can be more detailed because of the length allowed. I just think your editing was outstanding in this latest video- music, narration, splicing, etc. Great job, Gunner!

I tried this as well following your video. Very different results drinking, not drinking, and well.. drunk. I think I'll go back to no step, don't want to drop to much for my team.

I don't think stepping is good. A majority if not all of the tutorials here on RU-vid suggest having as few moving parts in your throw as possible to help consistency. So trying to transition to stepping doesn't make sense to me. Plenty of pros don't step. I love JBJs throw, super relaxed with no step

I was just doing it for an experiment for RU-vid i would say if you start with no step and throw fine then stick to that

@@gunnerbriz so you're going to go back to no step? I mean I guess it is a fun experiment to change things up

It’s always fun to try new things! You never know, you may find a “better” way but even if you don’t, you’ve learned a lot and had a good time doing it.

I feel the struggle. I'm a normal right handed stepper moving my left foot(ie Matt Guy's throw). Tried no step for a while after wrist surgery and found I could not generate as much forward momentum, no power to push. Shots usually had to be higher and lofty. I take the step out in practice at times to focus on arm path.

It really just comes down to what you’re comfortable with. I am not really a stepper but I think it’s definitely good for the right person

I tried this out, and it worked well for me over the board, but throwing cross needs some work for me. But air mails and pushes are great with the step. I couldn't roll or cut worth a dam stepping, though hahah may use it as needed and incorporate it into my throwing style and practice.

Interesting I find rolls to be easier than airmails. Keep trying it out and I am curious if you use it for some shots and why

Could you make a video detailing the differences in all the ACL divisions, please? I really want to get into playing ACL events, but it is very intimidating.

I tried this stepping as well did it for a few hours but had to go back to no step as I could not find the consistency to stay on or near the board😊

Stepping is hard and it’s more moving parts you have to get consistent

i like the video editing. reminds me of when i watch an nba game on house of highlights. keep it up. the step isnt an easy transition but for me it has worked. especially when throwing the faster bags in a switch. what were some bags that impressed you during the ACL tournament that you havent tried before?
