Rambutan and Salak are amazing I try it in Sumatra for the first time

Those fruits was my favourite I already ate that since i was child Of course because i am Indonesian 1. Durian (king of fruit) 2. Manggis (queen of fruit) 3. Klengkeng 4. Salak And we have many different kinds of tropical fruit else Imagine you lost in the middle of the Indonesian jungle you will meet those fruits arround you and you will be safe because of the fruits you eaten

For rambutan, there are a lot types of rambutans. The one I grew in front of my house is sweet, even when they are still green/yellow, not a hint of sourness but it's not too sweet like some of other rambutan. It's perfect. The texture is different too. Mine is more firm than the other rambutan so it's very easy to seperate the fruit meat from the seed. If you ever found another rambutan asked what type of rambutan it is, mine is Antalagi, it's from South Kalimantan. One of the best rambutan you can find in Indonesia.

God made beautiful fruits so human can experience different taste, everyone has different tastes, some people like it some don't, thats all😁

I think you got wrong Rambutan, Salak and Durian. You have to be accompanied by right people to choose those fruits (you've got wrong partner to get those fruits). All of them should be delicious.

Hi.. i think that you guys made a mistake by picking up the kind of durian. For the firstimer you shouuld go for premium durian which taste sweet, the texture are not too soft and the smell not too strong.. A lot of variance of durian, whcih sweet, bitter, alcoholic, fermeted, acidy etc.. you should pic the sweet one for the test and i guarantee you will love it..

Omg so many tropical food you probably need to try that you wont find in europe such as: Duku, jackfruit, dondong, sawo, srikaya, starfruit and even mangos have so many varieties here such as Arumanis mango, golek mango, kweni mango, and manalagi mango~ maybe part 2 haha

Idk if many people doing this or not but usually my family ate rambutan after slicing the meat out from the seeds using knifes. Just cut them from 4 sides. Slice the front and the back as closer possible to the seed first and then slice the other 2 sides (left and right) to make 4 big chunk of rambutan meat (the front and the back side that you cut first will be naturally bigger than the other 2 sides). You can slice the rest of them (the leftover which is like in 4 diagonal sides also top and bottom part if there's anyit of them) or just put them in your mouth and ate them like the way you do in this video. Slice a lot of rambutan before you eat them. It's easier to eat this way since you don't have to worry about the meat sticking to the seed and vice versa, so you'll have a lot less wasted meat unlike if you just ate the rambutan without slicing them first. Trust me it would feels waaaay better and it's totally worth it.

either loving it or completely hate it, that's durian. it's literally rip my family in two, with just my dad and brother loving it so much they'll even eat it outside of the door, hahaha

When you try something new (especially food), you have to research first and then try it, it'll be better if you don't have any influence from what people think about that food (but after you tasted it you can ask) except how to eat it, then you have your own opinion about that food.

Durian is a fruit that you will have a "love me or hate me' relationship kind of thing. But I guess you need to give it another chance. You'll never know, maybe you'll love it somehow. 😁

You must try ripe jackfruit.... Mangosteen are called "The queen of the Fruit" and Durian as "The King of the fruit"

Oh guys, rambutan is one of delicious fruits i've ever eaten, its smells maybe weird but that is sweet😂😂

How to eat 1. Klengkeng You must peel it skin, and bite around it seed. 2. Rambutan Peel it skin, and bite it around it seed. Ripe rambutan in appearance is dark red, and you hold it usually it feels a bit soft and it tastes sweet. 3. Salak Peel the skin, and around its meat, there's a membrane (like skin) that gives bitter taste, you need to peel/clean it. Ripe Salak mostly sweet. 4. Manggis/Mangosteen Just peel the skin. You can taste sweet if it ripe. 5. Durian Most likely, this is tropic asian fruit, that consider as an extreme challenge for westerner tongues. It is very uncommon (and uncomfortable) from its very own smell. Indonesian people most having durian with a cup of coffee, especially when they eat more than 1 whole dyrian. The coffee itself helps to prevent get drunk(oftenly happens when you eat alot of it). Most common and very friendly taste for westerner tongues in asian tropic fruits are pepaya/papaya, semangka/watermelon, Nangka/jackfruit (mostly for european & canadian, a favorite for veggies), Bengkoang/Jicama, Kelapa/Coconut (its water and meat), Mangga/mango, Jambu/water apple, Jambu Merah/Guava, and there are still too many tropic fruits you could find in Indonesia.

Several kinds of salak, if you want the sweet one you can try salak pondoh from jogjakarta central java, and for rambutan you must try rambutan binjai because it's easy to separate from the seet and have sweet flavour

5:44 it means Wisnu can't pick the good one actually Salak (Snake fruit) is sweet enough if you get the right one. How to get the good one, just look at the skin scales. the bigger the scales size and brighter the color is the good one. So its not over. I see the fruit is not yet ready. Either with rambutan, look for the brighter red.

For rambutan, its better if u open it from the hariy skin n keep it on refridgerator....it feel better if cold...n before u eat them, u can seperate the flesh of fruit from the seed...try it n u may fall in love with rambutan 🙏🙏

Durians are called the king of fruits. Mangosteens the queen of fruits. I could eat durians all day, and salaks, and mangosteens...😂. I live in Sydney and the only fruit I could not get is salaks. Imported durians come frozen but Australia now grows durians locally too, though I have not tried one. It's A$50/kg. Imagine you bring home and not edible.

To be honest, if you buy it at a slightly higher price, the fruit you eat actually tastes sweet, rambutan is very sweet if you buy the red one ✌🏻

Many foreigners don't like durian because they only eat a little, even though durian tastes delicious when we eat 1 or more seeds. that's why many people don't like it because it's the wrong way to eat, I used to be like that when I was little but after eating more and finally I just enjoyed the taste. Just some tricks, you'll find it much better if you make some juices from those fruit. But don't forget to peeled it clean first, and get rid the seeds. Add some ice cubes too... You'll loved it

They are all actually really good. Its just really hard to get the good ones. Durian especially as it's one of the highly priced fruit in Indonesia. It's really hard to find the good ones.

I usually eat durian at home, the smell goes away quickly. When I was a child in a village (in Sumatra), I had dozens of durians in the house or even almost 100 fruits, I just had to choose what I wanted to eat. In the past, durian prices were still cheap. In South Sumatra, there is a dish made from sour durian, we call it Tempoyak, usually cooked with shrimp or "pepes" ( meat or fish wrapped in a banana leaf and roasted) with fish.

There are many types of rambutan and salak fruit,, "rambutan rapiah / rambutan leci,, and salak pondo" is one of the most delicious in my opinion, you have to try it again,, it's the best type that I recommend

The rambutans fully ripe is succulent and delicious. You have to eat the fruit WITHOUT the seed! Most seeds in fruits taste horrible so you have to take them out first. Eating "stinking" "pungent" fruits, like food, is a cultivated taste and turns in ""fragrance"" like perfume some cannot get enough of lol

Maybe you should try cutting the rambutan meat into slices, and then chill it in the fridge. I love having it that way, then the skin from the seed won't disturb me enjoying the fruit. And next time try the king of durians, called mao shan wang or a sweeter version of it. Different durians have different taste profiles.

I tried Snake fruit, it's slightly sweet and slightly fruity fragrance, and slightly sour. Not stingy at all. i think you bought cheap one, something like on sale, maybe too ripe so on sale. But I confused why your tour-guide said that's OK? And rambutam you bought seems too dark, fresh one is red.

Durian is the king of fruits if you choose the right one and Mangosteen is queen of fruit. Durian is a hot fruit. It will make the body hot from inside, but mangosteen is a cold fruit. So if you eat a lot of durian, you have to eat mangosteen to quench the heat. That's why they're called King and Queen . Not only does greatest taste.

hii....susan, sebenarnya untuk pemula memakan durian itu perlu adaptasi, jadi saranku cobalah lebih sering memakan durian walaupun hanya sedikit. karna pengalamanku juga sama, pertamakali mencoba durian bau dan rasanya tidak enak. tapi karna orang-orang disekelilingku sangat menyukai durian, aku jadi sering memakan dan mulai menyukainya.
