First-Time Trying Nuuly: Hits & Misses | Honest Review & Try-On 

I never comment in yt videos but my best advise when buying or renting clothes online is to instead of going by sizing, that is very arbitrary, to go by your measurements. Many sites will have a size chart and that is a better indication of what is your size on x brand than saying i usually use 2x, as what a 2x is may change from brand to brand. Shouldn't be that way and we should be able to tell what size we are but that is not the world we live in, get familiar with your measurements and whenever possible use the size chart. Liked the jacket and rainbow dress😊

When I lived alone, I put a metal hanger tip through the zipper (the hanger has to be unbent to straight obviously, and then pull up over your back. God, that was not described properly. But I bet you get what I'm putting down. lol

To make that rainbow dress pop on the top, wear some chunky necklace with one of the colors from the lower skirt. Trust me on this one. That dress is too cute to let go

I way 190 lbs and wear a 1-2x. I can’t understand how you can fit a 2-3x

I have been thinking about Nuuly for the exact same reason. I’ve dropped out of plus sizes but still have 20lbs to get to goal. The clothing selection was really my only downside to trying it, now I’m even more perplexed. 💕🌷💕

I got Nuuly a year or so ago as well, and I was SO AMPED for the package to arrive, watching the tracking from work. From the moment I rushed home to bring in the suitcase I was immediately on guard. The zippered pouch looked like it had been around the block a billion times, I think things were literally torn on the suitcase. Welp, for being a first time customer, you'd think they would try and do their best to create a returning customer, but every single thing inside also looked like it had been around the block a billion times. Not just worn out- but also crumpled to the max, like some hung-over spring breaker packed frantically trying to catch her flight home. I had expected items to have been pressed and then hung and rolled up or folded, for how much it cost, AND then to see how much money they thought they could charge for these same thinned and faded clothes if I had chosen to keep them, I was floored. The quality was what I would expect to pay $3 for at Goodwill, not $75. SO DISAPPOINTED! I also immediately cancelled. Bummer.

Never go by what the tag says in terms of size. You must measure yourself and go by that.

Wider leg jeans. Just give them a try. As someone who still has pretty thick legs, like Anna, a wider leg takes away from the proportions looking so off. Now for this clothing haul. It's a miss. Nuuly is probably not worth it for anyone. Renting clothes isn't a very good idea. But, people will pay for anything now. ✨✌️

Total sadness. I agree with one of the other commenters that I loved the turtleneck on you; it's not bold and bright but it's subtle and interesting and stylish, so maybe worth trying, maybe under dungarees or with high-waisted dark jeans? The jacket is awesome, and it's tragic that it didn't fit -- but the rest is all just kind of 'meh'. The "Legally Blonde" style pink houndstooth zip cardi was kind of fun, and you could probably have made it work if you had to, but nothing at all was a knock out of the park.

I usually like everything you try on but nothing worked for me on this haul except i did like the jacket❤😊. Thank you for sharing😊😊❤❤

Appreciate your honest review Anna! Nuuly is my go-to rental services because I also sit between sizes. It also helps me get outside of my clothing comfort zone. Even if something isn't 100% for me, I still try to find cool ways to wear it! I wonder if there are other rental services that might be a better fit?!

I thought the rainbow dress worked on you. I was thinking a bright sweater or jacket would help it out. Or a brightly colored lighter fabric top.

Since you have a marked size disparity between your top and bottom, have you considered only wearing separates. Easier to get a custom fit and look that way. BTW You look marvelous

The gold skirt and jean shirt were amazing on you. I think the issue with the dress is that its too matchy to your skin tone. Try a white or colored tee under and it might change the feel.

I have never heard of Nuuly. It would have been helpful if it had been explained. 🤷🏻‍♀️ And I understood that you picked each item and then proceeded to slam them.

I had the same problem with Gwynnie Bee finding my right sizes. It took me probably three months to find the sizes that fitted me. However, then they got so expensive to rent that I gave up. I did really like their clothes though.

Looks like they are junior sizes instead of women’s.

Don't be so hard on yourself. You tried it didn't work for you. Check it off and on to next one. Try what you want. You are the only one that matters. ❤❤❤

I like the business concept. I can understand the pull to go bolder in choices as it’s rented. I would have done the same no doubt.

I agree with you! The designs are super cool and being able to try them is great, but the sizing isnt 100% and some are not your style

You could have had a much better experience ordering larger sizes. The goal isn’t just to get it to zip or button up, the goal is to wear a size that looks flattering on your body. All the images of the clothing were on tiny women. If Nuuly doesn’t make bigger sizes, move on to another company that does :)

If that first jacket was cropped it may have fit, but it was long enough that your bottom half impacted the way it fit. Too bad though, that jacket was fire. The piñata colored dress may look better paired with a jean jacket and some colorful necklaces.

While a body is changing it is so hard spending money on clothes that you may not fit in a short period.

This reminds me of me 3 days ago I went shopping and saw this beautiful Forrest Green Sweater Dress that was So Beautiful and started thinking that I wanted it I've lost about 40 lbs and let's go for it. So I purchased it and took it home just to cry and look at myself and see ugly .😢😢 I felt so terrible

OPTIONS: 1.) Jacket worn with wht or blk shirt or paired with yellow skirt. 2.) Nude Bra under sheer print shirt &/or paired with the yellow skirt. 3.) Pink Checkered Top worn with pink, white, or grass green bottom. 4.) Use a rainbow color necklace set and/or solid color earrings to coincide with the rainbow bottom dress.

Sizes can be very tricky depending on the Manufacturer.. Some are cut smaller though they are the same tagged size, and once you figure out who has a more realistic and true cut, it makes life so much easier... Honestly, I just think you had a bad choice day, and should totally forgive yourself...😊 I personally hate shopping for clothing these days because they are either not made well, true to size, and designs are getting more and more hideous.. Btw, you're adorable, funny, and doing a great job! ❤❤

Why is Anna so out of breath with changing clothes? For someone who runs and exercises so much, she wouldn't be out of breath with just changing clothes.

I've lost some weight and have no idea what size I wear now despite it not being a lot of weight. Somehow I have to exchange things several times or just return them. It's frustrating

The rainbow dress - that pinkish/pale rose top color is awful on my pale skin. My daughter and I call that color "cadaver." ugh. Otherwise it's such a pretty dress. :(

Don’t not keep the black pants romper because the zipper is in the back. You don’t keep because it doesn’t fit and you will feel wonderful when you are in clothes that fit and styles you like

You need to realize that you are truly bigger than a 3 x

When looking at the models wearing the clothes, don't buy based off of how good they look. If they don't have your body type, it's not going to look the same. You won't like anything you buy, like she's experiencing. I'll buy clothes if the models body type is like mine but also, I can imagine how clothes will look on me because I picture myself as the model and I know what my body looks like in most silouettes. It just seems like she expected everything to look and fit like what the pictures show.

I like watching your videos, I’m not a hater and I love watching the fashion. I do find it unnecessary to be constantly reminded “my body is changing”… we understand you’re losing weight, I’m happy for you.. but we don’t need to hear about it literally every video

You have shown us much cuter stuff from Walmart. I wouldn't be caught dead in any of those outfits, it's definitely not you. I'd much prefer buying in store than renting because you can see the garment, feel it, and see how it's cut. We all know sizing is crazy and you really need to go by measurements and forget the size tag.

Unfortunately nowadays the sizing of clothes is ridiculous. You can even buy the same outfit in a different colour and the sizing is different. I now go by my measurements instead of what the size label says.

U used to love this channel, but with time it got so annoying to hear "as my body is changing" literally in every video. I then unfollowed. Today I got this video on my list, and I decided to sneak in and see what´s new. And the very first sentence she said was that her body is changing 😀

Came here from VIB. The striped skirt is cute and the turtleneck was interesting. That glam dress was the highlight. Don't give up, my DIL was your size and she committed to daily walks and was very careful about food and has dropped several sizes

Anna, don't get hard on yourself over this try on. We all know that brands pretty much make up their own sizes and that, even within the same brand, the sizing is inconsistent. I think the problem with a site like Nuuly is that they carry so many different brands and pieces that they aren't going to be able to list the actual measurements for each piece. I know you were very excited to try something new and were very disappointed with the results, but like you said, it was just wrong timing. I'm not a very trendy person, and I don't care much about brands or designer pieces, so something like Nuuly doesn't appeal to me, anyway, because it doesn't make sense to spend so much money to rent clothes that might not fit. I haven't checked out their policies, but I'm hoping that they can refund you all your money since none of the clothing worked out?
