Love the way u being pampered by the “pakcik”. By the way Chu, if you afraid there is no place to put the fish bone and others, you can always ask for extra plate to put it. So that you don’t have to put directly on the table. Have a sedap lunch Chu!!!

with expat/tourist, sure yes.... but I doubt the treatment towards foreign worker/immigrant (from 3rd world countries) is fairly similar, but generally yeah I think we're friendly

It's always fun watching you trying our Malaysian food. A big thumbs up/👍 for trying that tempoyak patin, "siput"/edible snails, "ulam"/raw veggies. The 2nd veggie you took is four angled bean or winged bean. Wow, you are fantastic, Chu, eating that petai or stink beans. Most Malaysians can't eat them. A good try. Enjoy your SEDAP day 🙆🙆🙆😀

Durian becomes sweeter when fermented and thats when you get Tempoyak. I don’t eat both durian and tempoyak. I do understand how amazing it tastes, as I love other fermented food - belacan is my kryptonite. I even dip sour mango in belacan, I know it sounds weird haha. Glad you enjoyed the food.

Everytime my family go to my mother's hometown at Jengka and Jerantut, Pahang, my grandparents give me 1big box of tempoyak. Sometimes I also got patin... Although I'm from johor I really love tempoyak. I can eat tempoyak directly without adding anything. Imagine, eating tempoyak with nasi goreng 😂😂 my mother always complain because tempoyak in my fridge run out faster . tempoyak is awesome. You can make patin tempoyak, sambal tempoyak and many more😋

The snail gravy we call "masak lemak cili padi". Coconut milk and chili's..it tastes different from tempoyak gravy.

Chu. Please try Serawa Durian. It's delicious when eating with Steamed Bread. It's sweet and I think durian haters will love it. I'm not sure if there's any Serawa Durian served in any restaurant in KL. But I found one restaurant, (Restoran Sri Manis, Dengkil) which serving this menu in the morning.

@@hxsm8090 it’s at Pantai Dalam. Near KTM Station. Kak Nik Patin House. They use patin from Pahang, not the cheap patin you find in Giant or local markets. But it’s still cheap, less than RM20 and really good. They also have other wild freshwater fish like baung, and large freshwater prawns.

there is also patin tempoyak bakar, called 'pais patin'. same kind of fish with tempoyak, wrapped in banana leaf and grilled. highly recommended 🙆🏻‍♂️

Hi Chu. Annyeong haseyo. It is also highly recommended for you to try one famous and well known yet delicious patin tempoyak served by a restaurant called Kancil Raja Patin. They originated from the state of Pahang where this dish is very famous for. But not to worry. They have opened a restaurant in KL which is located at Danau Kota, Gombak. You can try and sample their patin tempoyak either in soupy version or even thick condensed version, no matter which version you choose, it is worth the try. My personal favorite is the thick version. It is so yummy and tasty and super delicious. Have a try, enjoy your meal and hope you will love it. Thank you. Kamsa hamida.

I just ❤️ tempoyak n Patin masak asam tempoyak Pahang is my favourite🤤🤤🤤 The spicier the dish the better👍😎 Usually, the dish is accompanied with Sambal Hitam Pahang which is made by pounding Anchovies, boiled Bilimbi, Bird Eye Chillies and then fried till concentrated. Tempoyak is a gravy paste made from fermented durian fruit. It is added to coconut milk curry. The famous fish added to it called ikan patin..

Ikan patin tempoyak memang sedap . It's a favorite dish of malaysian. If you stay for long time , surely you can double up your size. Malaysian especially malay when they eating with sambal belacan and ikan asin , surely ask for more rice Sambal belacan is some kind of appetizer

Ikan Patin is fresh water fish.Mainly rare along Sg Pahang. However need to be careful and dont be shy to ask 1st.Some Patin can reach up to RM200-RM300 per kg(raw one) My late Auntie used to have Patin Cage along Sg Pahang about 10 years back. Patin taste nicer if its cage in flowing water.Even nicer if its wild patin.But the wild one is not pocket friendly. If u want to have authentic patin tempoyak taste.Please visit Temerloh Pahang.The origin place of Patin Tempoyak. Btw, as usual thanks for such an awesome content..

The next tempoyak you should try is the sambal tempoyak.. it's like a durian flesh paste mixed with chili and you eat it with the white rice..there is also another style of cooking that fish you ate (ikan patin) a dish called “Patin Pais" I think you'd love it.. cooked with tempoyak too just little bit spicy..

Great video Chu Bro, next time maybe you can try Pais Ikan Patin, its also cooked with tempoyak but it's wrapped in aluminium foil and grilled. The taste of tempoyak is more rich in Pais Ikan Patin.
