Oh gosh, another absolutely fun video. This time, you are eating among the Chinese community hence you have to shout out : 1. Ho Jiak - Hokkien dialect 2. Hoe Sek. - Cantonese 3. Hau Zie - Mandarin ( official Chinese language ) Very very wonderful of you, Chu, to pick up a few Chinese words like Xie Xie, Kam Sia 👍👍👏 Amazing that you enjoyed and loved that White Curry Mee. Awesome content and well done, Chu. Good day 🙆🙆🙆😂
It was really sweet that the lady bother to correct your pronunciation and even taught you how to say thank you in Hokkien too !! Props to the person who bothered to write it down on a small memo for you to understand better 👍👍

@@chubro actually penang uses a lot like hokkien dialect , which has similar dialect that fujian province ppl and taiwan ppl use, actually korean has similar vocab also usable in hokkien, korea=kamsahamnida , hokkien/minnan=kamsia has similar tone (the "lu“ is actually mean "you" in hokkien)
Anyeong, you came to the right place! This stall serves a very delicious curry mee, we always came here and will order extra blood cockles. Glad that you get to try one of Penang's famous street food.
The auntie teaching you Hokkien bro.. A type of Chinese language. Many people in Penang speak Hokkien. It's the main language of the Chinese people there that's why.
Popo restaurant/Kopitiam famous for it's Hokkien Mee, curry mee and wantan mee !!!! It's Hokkien Mee always long queue ... And that coffee is called Kopi special !!!!!!
you should try the hokkien mee, the shop famous for hokkien mee, must be there at 8am and take numbers, else it will finish selling very early. kam sia lu is tank you in penang hokkien dialect. Most Penang people native mother tongue are hokkien.

I saw you in Kapitan Chulia Street several months ago. By the way, she keeps on say Kam Sia Lu because there are majority Hokkien in that area. Xie Xie (mandarin) Kam xia (Hokkien)
@chu remember not to stick the Chopsticks into Bowl of Noodles or Rice😅 Elders may not like it... u can google it! Nowadays some of the younger generation may overlook this tradition but generally a lot of the Elders will not like it🤣 Hope this tip will help.. 😄
because u spoke delicious in hokkien, "ho jiak", the right thank u is "kam sia" in hokkien. "hao chi" is yummy in mandarin, then "xie xie" is thank you for mandarin.

We have seonji soup but it is with the salted vege base soup and white pepper. Usually not only seonji but they put pig intestine and tofu. This soup is available on stall selling yam rice or pork mustard rice.
pig blood is full of protein , the healtiest part ever. not all chinese love it even I hate it . I will choose porkbelly than blood🤣🤣 in penang u should try the Most Local Favourite Charcoal Fried Char Koey teow with Duck Egg🥚
