I love Erwin's character because he would NEVER ask or command anyone to do something he wouldn't do himself. True leader standards. Please always remember this: ERWIN is HIM. He is the Best Commander
It's called editing. They can only show so much and they try to include any clips obviously that has the biggest reaction moments from them. This is a reaction channel and it's kinda common sense how that works.
@@jenloveshorror You can literally put the wanted clips in since you have total control over it. It’s called editing. No other reaction channel has had that problem. This is a reaction channel and it’s kinda common sense how that works.
@@jagerbradleyyeah their reaction channel, but if u wanna hear a great discussion listen to their review where the fellas are praising Erwin even saying he said advance and that he's a boss. Dude they include clips that shows the most of their vocal or facial reactions reacting to clips. We are not here to watch a show. If u don't like what they then just go elsewhere. No one can please all the obsessive fans out there, especially w this show!
Does everyone act this obsessive w this show?? U can like something without being a fanatic & not actually sit and think first that they are trying to also read alot of fricken subtitles and also recall it's just a fantasy anime. The story is great, but let's be real here ppl. U wanna see shocked faces and alot more vocal reactions from them then go watch all their The Boys reactions. You would love it if that's what ur wanting from these fellas. And fyi, they have plenty of solid reacting throughout this show!
Also you very clearly can hear DD apologize for clapping & clearly say he celebrated too soon cause he didn't see dudes arm and felt bad bout clapping and yet u still wrote this and ppl are actually liking ur comment which tells me all the other folks out there can't hear a dang word these guys say. Gheesh
@zamhobby9662 bro he apologized for not seeing it and clapping too soon. Can u not hear them when they speak and also discussed in review. And yet ppl have actually liked ur comment so we must have folks that are not paying attention either.
That's what always irks me. No one I watch remembers for all of season 1 Ymir is basically flirting and asking her out every episode. That's even if they remember who Ymir even is. She even asks her to marry her a few times.
@@lyndajaeger4477 To be fair, she's such a background character in season 1 and so much is happening that it's easy to forget about her. I mean, she doesn't even have a name in season 1! And in season 2, we can see how they care for each other but even in the snowy mountain flashback, I took it as a very strong freindship or a sisterly bond. But yeah, from episode 10, when Ymir said "you don't understand, the way she look at me, this girl..." it was clear to me that it was romantic love.
Beartoto breaking down in front of his friends is probably one of his best highlights of the entire show. Guess that’s a price to pay for bottling up your emotions.
It's so tragic that at the start of her story Ymir lied and sacrificed her life to save other people, and now, even after promising that she'd live for herself, she still chooses to sacrifice her life to save Burnttoast and Reiner. While she seems selfish on the surface, Ymir truly is one of the most selfless characters in the show.
I don't think it would have made any difference what Ymir said. They were all going to Paradise no matter what. But she tried. The Japanese voice actress for Ymir is the lead in My Deer Friend Nokotan. Also she is the voice of Hatsune Miku.
Erwin was always that character that basically read the manga and knew the story before ANY of us did. He really was one of the coolest strategists and leaders in the franchise.
@@Langley_Ackerman19 The reason he didn't is because he knew Erwin's motivation ended at the basement. He decided that Erwin had suffered enough and deserved to rest.
Surprised you guys didn't really touch on Buttholt's speech in the discussion, it's clear him and Reiner don't want to do this. They're bad guys, but clearly being forced into the situation they're in. There's some good humanization of them both here, it's clear there's more nuance
the season 2 levi nerf is so funny cuz it feels like hes just being dramatic. like he's walking around just fine with no limp and he manages to gear up and cut eren out of his titan at the end of s1 so it feels like he oughtta just suck it up and pitch in. but i like that he doesn't bc its funnier.
@@vlad5042 majority is one single day, the last minutes of ep 12 is the second day, and just morning of this one. If you check out, when Eren beats Annie the sun is starting to come down, by that time the rest of the cast is already escaping in the horses (as shown at the end of season 1) bc they see the titans on wall rose. The start of season 2 makes it look like the sun is a little more up to have better lighting but in reality that's the moment of the day we're placed on, then we see stuff like Sasha saving Kaya, Connie finding his mom and Eren resting, that takes eps for us but for them is not even an hour, they do it all very quickly. Then we get to the night, Eren and the rest leave, the two teams checking for the hole in the wall get to each other, they go to the tower, they spend the night there and it falls and Eren and the rest get to rescue them by the morning, after that they go to the wall and again quickly Reiner and Berth reveal themselves, fight Eren and kidnapp him, the survey corps wait for a while, Reiner and Berth run away, then talk with Eren and Ymir on the trees, the scouts get there and the final fight happens while for the first time during the season the sun starts to come down again, and they even come back during almost night. It's not till Hange and Connie go to Erwin and Levi and we see Armin, Jean, Mikasa and Eren conversation that we see the next day. The only time this season that we come back to a time before of season 1 finale is when we see Sasha and Connie saying they're bored while waiting with the rest, but that's minutes before of them escaping on the horses, that as I said, that's by the time Eren already defeated Annie.
Fun fact Isayama the Author of AOT didn't have Eren and Mikasa kiss because he was too nervous to. Also the flowers turning red was apart of Erens vission/dream in E1 S1. RIP Hannes
In episode 12 of season 2, remember the fact that Eren was laughing while crying say “I can’t change anything” remember that one thing of Eren laughing crying when he feels he can’t change anything!!! That is extremely extremely important in a later season like extremely!
In case it wasn't clear, what Conny and Sasha were telling Historia is that Ymir lied about being selfish and wanting to save herself by taking Historia, to get her to go with her because she was refusing. So she does want to protect Historia. And Historia figured it out too, throwing her words back at her and telling her to stop living for others, before the hype music kicked in. xD And remember the first ep of season 2, the beast titan didn't know what the 3D maneuver gear was, so it can't be Eren's dad. This show is a great intro to anime for newcomers. Everything is top notch, the production quality, the story, the music, its all just awesome, I'm glad ya'll ware watching it in sub.
@@Austin.Kilgore They can show the difference between black hair and blonde hair, but people still were thinking it was Eren's dad. In anime the difference is immediately obvious.
@@parispog Alright take it easy there Buddy xD There's Spoilers and then there's insider Jokes that don't really spoil anything for someone who hasn't seen the entire Show..."less Casualties haha" in a Show where People die almost every Episode is just a random and understandable Comment until YOU apply YOUR Knowledge and Self-Centered "Interpretation" to it and the Tears start swelling :D I'm all against spoiling Reactors, but triggered Crybabies like you who apparently don't even understand the Concept are just pathetic. Not to hurt your Feelings or anything, I just see these kind of stupid Comments everywhere and every once in a while I just feel the need to put one of you down for being what you sadly are.
Oak, the pilot of the Beast Titan isn’t controlling it from the outside, he simply left the shell like how Ymir did when she talked to Historia The shell of a titan exists for a little bit, after the pilot leaves the titan. That was discovered in season one
the whole sequence of Eren breaking down, giving up and then Mikasa bringing him back to life so much so that he discovers the coordinate to save her cemented this show as my favourite of all time the finale of season 2 is definitely the best ep so far and it only gets better!
Out of all the reaction videos i seen Diamond Dave was the very first one to clap and say " oh yea " to Erwin getting his arm bitten lmao you guys sure are something loving it ! 🤙🏼
I feel like a lot of the best parts are getting cut off ): Erwin's "ADVAAAAANCE!" was to show how dedicated he was to his missions, his corps and to all of his fallen members. One of the best scenes.
Yeah something's missing from their reaction. They're only interested in action parts and they completely ignore any emotional parts of the show. They have the most typical American reaction of the show😂😂 their reaction is a bit boring for my liking
Diamond Dave, you asked about their ages, so I just want you to know that Eren, Mikasa, Armin and most of their group are 15 years old. It's just been like 5 weeks after their graduation (because the expedition where they met the female titan happened 1 month after they joined the Survey Corps, and season 2 as a whole happened in like 2 days' time, with the titans showing up inside Wall Rose territory happening at the same time that Eren was fighting Annie in the season 1 finale). So, basically, they are still kids who've had to grow up way too fast.
Yeah, its truly tragic how young the majority of the cast is in this show. Having to resort to being a child soldier, due to the necessity of survival is pretty fucking bleak.
The gravity of his speech will go over most people's heads at this point in the story. We have the benefit of knowing what's to come. Stop holding reactors to unrealistic standards. There's so much fucking information being shown to viewers, that its really easy to miss the importance of some things on a first watch.
@@withxoutxlife I mean, Bert literally says “who the hell would do this by their own choice!?” “You think I wanted to do this!?” Thats kinda hard to miss. And its not like they were talking over his speech, they were looking intently until mikasa spoke and then they were like “oh yeah, fuck these guys”
Ymir's selfish speech is just bullshit to manipulate Historia into coming with her so that Ymir can save her. But once Ymir realises Historia has good chances of survival within the walls she just leaves her there. She is 100% selfless despite her saying over and over again to live for oneself. Ymir is one of the best characters of the show.
Yes! It bothers me when reactors take her speech at face value. I mean, first we saw time and time again that her actions contradict her "I'm living for myself' BS: she risked exposure just to save Daz, she nearly died instead of saving herself at Utgard Castle. Second, we *know* from episodes 9 and 10 what Reiner and Bert told her: they never said that she might be spared if she brought Historia to them, on the contrary they said that they probably can't do anything to ensure her safety but they can do something for Historia "your petty life *or* Historia's future". She knows that she'll probably die if she goes with them and decides to do it anyway, for Historia's sake (and then for Reiner's and Bert's sake).
NO SPOILERS: Just setting up an expectation. S3 starts with a big shift in pacing. It will make sense as you get deeper into it. Trust me it's one of the most epic seasons of television ever made, but it's a build-up, it starts slow but grows and grows and grows. Ymir wasn't really lying about her feelings for Historia, she absolutely adores her. Yes, it started as a selfish way to save herself but she did end up loving Historia, she wouldn't let any harm come to her. Also I REALLY wish I could highlight ONE quote near the end of the episode, but it would be such a huge spoiler, I can't, but man, trust me that this season set in motion SO MANY UNBELIEVABLE THINGS, especially the very endgame.
Hearing Oak comment about how amazed he is of the overall tone of anime is always funny to me. This is one of the best but there are SO many other grear ones.
You guys dont wanna miss the episode 49(S3 ep 12) there is a glitch scene part towards the end! It can be seen during the ending song just kept watching till the end and you guys will see:D!!
Just wanted to say that your reactions got me back into watching AoT! I’d quit late season 3 because I’d spoiled myself but I binge watched the rest of s3 and s4 and finished the series early this morning, so thank you!
Don't worry about bertholdt's name and how to say it, the internet can't even agree on how to say it. Every Reactor/reviewer has the same reaction to his name and everyone is right.
ERWIN THE GOAT SMITH!!! I still get chills everytime watching eps 11 & 12 and seeing Erwin scene when the titan bite his arm and he keeps going "ADVANCE!!" What a commander! .. Eren's voice actor tho, he is incredible 👏🏼👏🏼love your reaction and can't wait for S3 with you guys
19:23 Im pretty sure Eren had a flashback moment to his mother getting eaten as he is confronted by the smiling Titan. Thats confirmation enough that its the same Titan that ate his mother
@@maggie198333 😅 as these eps go i figured they only care with the main three characters, their story, their pov, their words.. others can go yo hell basically lol they're not interested at all. for a brilliant show to be only seen revolved around the main character is such a waste.
@@salsa3142 I agree. I have the same conclusion after this episode in particular. They only pay attention to the main 3 characters and maybe Levi and that's it. Erwin's epic scenes appeared twice, they just tuned off. The far right guy even misunderstood what's going on. I thought the far left guy has been the most invested in the show. But overall, pretty much at this point, most of the post episode commentaries are pretty generic and uninteresting.
The oak hoping that Mikasa would say "I love you" is everything, although I know it's not Japanese to say it, let's expect that scene to happen.Bby the way, in Spanish we call him Bertoldo.
Eren's breakdown is truly one of the best moments in the whole show. His reaction to Hannes' death, who was almost a surrogate father to Eren, Mikasa and Armin, and the last remnant of their childhood, is heart-breaking. He collapses, crying, laughing hysterically, knowing there was nothing he could do. He screams with self-loathing, realising that nothing has changed since the day his mother died, nothing has changed since his whole squad was massacred in Trost. In all of those situations he was utterly helpless, unable to protect his comrades, unable to save his mother, unable to save Hannes. In situations like these, Eren usually gives in to his rage, lets it blind him, but this time, he's too broken to even stand. In what they thought would be their last moments, an injured Mikasa leans in to comfort Eren, to remind him of all he's done for her, to remind him of another reason to fight. Not out of hatred, not out of revenge, not out of desire to eradicate the Titans, but out of love. "If you win, you live. If you lose, you die. If you don't fight, you can't win." This phrase is as important to Mikasa as "One who cannot sacrifice anything cannot ever change anything" is to Armin. And in a moment directly mirroring Mikasa's stand in Season 1 Episode 7, Eren gets up, he fights, unwilling to give in to his self-doubts. He promises to wrap Mikasa's scarf around her as many times as she wants before turning to face the Smiling Titan with hope in his eyes. This scene is beautiful in every sense of the word.
Christa and Ymir are not friends, the creator of the manga, Hajime Isayama, confirmed that they are a couple. It is not very obvious, not even in the manga, but Ymir really wanted to marry Christa...
The Oak playing the drums through the intro was great haha, love your guys reactions and I can’t wait to see what you guys think of the next 2 seasons! It only keeps getting better each season!!
i have NEVER EVER seen someone celebrate 08:48 like dave has and even tho he mentioned he didn't realise erwin's arm got bit off, it cracks me up every time🤣🤣🤣. most reactors fear for Erwin's life in this moment and dave is celebrating his ass off hahahahahah
If I am not mistaken, the majority of the younger crew are supposed to be 15/16 at this point. I can't wait to keep going forward with this! Season 3 is my personal favorite.
Eren crying and yelling is one of THE best performances by his voice actor. It still gives me goosebumps and still hurts 😭.. also RIP Hannes 😢… can’t wait for your reactions from here 😊
Just got a notif on your previous video, timing is so perfect. This seasons ending left me feeling empty the first time watching, so many Titans eating, so many soldiers getting klled, plus the reveals and emotional imapct was crazy
