He walked past me about 4 feet away, on his way to the stage at the concert I went to. He was so tall, broadshouldered, suntanned, walked like a gunslinger. His eyes were like sapphires, dark blue and sparkling under the bright lights, and his smile lit up the world, the charisma was just mind blowing. I was in total shock for those few seconds, and the image was seared into my brain forever.❤❤❤❤
Welcome to the wonderful world of Elvis fandom. I am from Memphis, and my uncle once ran into him. He said that Elvis was the most beautiful human he had ever seen. He said the pictures and videos don't do him justice. I'm with you, I wish I could have seen him live.
He just looked so dang sexy and handsome especially in that black leather .. I just love when he says boy my boy , he's got the cutest smile and that southern accent on him.. the 68 th special is my favorite concert ... I hears next year they will be coming out with a biopic documentary and it will be about how they made the 68 th comeback special and how it all came about . I'm not sure if it will be in the movies or on tv..but I know I'll be watching it.. and I also heard that priscilla presley his ex wife will be coming out with a biopic movie called elvis and me, it will be about how they met and fell on love.. there was a tv movie special already about her life with elvis and it was called elvis and me..
He has such a beautiful smile he just melts your heart away... Priscilla his wife said he was so nervous getting back on stage and doing this 68 comeback special, so he could have messed up the lyrics because if his nerves.. but to me he don't look nervous At all. He is so handsome that you can't help but be in a daze just staring at him and watching him perform..
Elvis loved to joke a lot, so he could have forgotten the lyrics, but it could all be for a laugh to, that was his thing exept his amazing voice and looks...
Yeah when Elvis is performing you’ve got so many unique things going on at the same time on stage. That Leather Suit, his hair, his stage presence, his sense of humor, the way he carries himself, and that incredible vocal. He just had that IT factor. It’s like Elvis and Michael Jackson had that top tier IT FACTOR that nobody else was blessed with to that level. The second Elvis came on stage all eyes go to Elvis. His presence was God crafted and unreal. There was just one Elvis Presley made.
Elvis Never took himself seriously - With The 68 Comeback Special ( He was so nervous ) He'd been doing movies for 8 plus years ... He wasn't sure if He'd been forgotten! This was HUGE For Elvis!!! You know Elvis IS THE KING!!! Behind the image Elvis was so kind sincere loving generous so funny!!! He never thought of himself as being better than anyone else!!! He treated everyone the same! He loved HIS FANS!!! Scotty Moore ..... On That Lead Guitar IS FIRE!!! Best Damn Guitarist IMO!!!! My Daddy Admired Scotty Moore so much & OF Course Elvis! My Dad had a 63' FENDER STRATOCASTER He bought with his first job as a teen!! He was a BADASS On Electric & Acoustic Guitar & He SANG Beautifully To Elvis Songs & Country Legends!! He had all of Elvis's Albums & Records Dad still had his Elvis Sideburns .... Kid You NOT! 😢😢😢I just lost My DAD! It's only been a year and it was a SHOCK It was complications to Covid him being 73 years old! SO When I hear Elvis Music / Singing I go to a special place in my mind and heart remembering My Daddy!!! I now have all my Dad's Guitars and Elvis LP'S / Records ... Now to get a turntable!! HOW IS IT THAT ONE PERSON / ELVIS / CAN MAKE YOU SO HAPPY!!!! IN A SPLIT SECOND! THAT'S THE MAGIC OF THE KING OF ROCK N ROLL #TCB BABY!!!
@@brandyreacts Thanks so much darling!! That means the world to me You know when it comes to Daughters with their Daddy's ... They are their World Their Hero! They go to for advice... We were very close He called me "Daddy's Little Daughter" My Whole Life.... Even Grown...... LOL So Miss that.... Gotta check out more of your reactions I just found you and so happy I did I can tell you really do appreciate and enjoy Elvis..... So happy the younger generation are getting to know & love the King! My 26 Year old song loves Elvis He is not an avid listener but He's heard Elvis all his life! He does beats since He was 11 years old He loves Underground Trap the most ... He's so talented with doing beats
This is one of my favorite live recordings of Elvis (68 Comeback). Elvis was at his best. He was so handsome here & looked so cool in his black leather. This was an intimate setting with the audience members sitting around him. He had a great voice & could sing anything whether it was ballads, gospel or rock.
I agree but when I hear people say this is when he was at his best in the Comeback and 70 Las Vegas Live etc I don't look at it like that.... Elvis was always at his best!!! I know you don't mean it in a bad way... I am just saying I notice more people liking this time of Elvis and not appreciating Elvis from 73 ON! As much Hawaii Concert does not get enough credit on YT... Neither does rare Elvis songs nor in his late years IMO and to me that's sad! You know when He started getting sick and putting on weight He was so scared he would not be seen as a "Sex Symbol" no longer! The FANS SHOWED HIM THEY LOVED HIM!!!! I WISH ELVIS COULD KNOW HOW MUCH HE IS LOVED STILL TO TODAY!!! AND ALL THE NEW GEN'S FALLING IN LOVE WITH HIM
@@tonyarenee531 any videos you recommend by Elvis? and yes I'm definitely taking a strong liking to Elvis not even because of the movie, which I haven't even seen yet! just by reacting to videos I've been glues to him since!
@@tonyarenee531 I love all of Elvis' early stuff when he just started out back in the 50's-60's. They are called the Sun sessions. I had a lot of his early records. Also have watched all of his movies & have many in my own collection. It broke my heart to watch him later in life when he was not well but his voice was still there.
@@brandyreacts So THRILLED Your enjoying Elvis ... even on your own time if not a reaction maybe look at some documentaries like "The King Of Kindness" or even too His Songs from his Movies .... Or Watch some of his movies there are so good!!!!! ------ I am not sure what you have reacted to but His "Suspicious Minds" Live In Vegas 1970 YOU See his moves and his personality ....... Also "Polk Salad Annie" Live In Vegas 1970 -- All His 68 Comeback Songs Are Great! He has beautiful Gospel songs He Loved Singing Gospel the most! Early Elvis..... ANYTHING ELVIS LOL!!!!! My Dad's Favorite song was "Moody Blue" From Elvis's Last Album He didn't live long enough sadly to see it go to #!
I remember when Elvis died. I was a young boy and my father was reading a newspaper and then suddenly said: "Elvis has died". I'm not even sure if knew who Elvis was back then, but I'll never forget it.
Loved it!! A little background: Elvis hadn't performed live in many years because he was busy making movies. This was a TV special. He always had stage fright, but he was extra nervous and told the director minutes before the start of taping that he couldn't do it. The director told him he had to go out there even if all he did was strum the guitar and say goodnight.
Ohhhhh!!! I Loveeee this Storyyy!!!! Austin Butler had so much Stage fright before filming the '68 Comeback and he told himself, "Okay, thats how Elvis felt..so I'll use that"
I love watching people fall under the Elvis spell. I was only 5 when he died, but my first memories are of me listening to Elvis with my Grandma. I can’t remember a time when I wasn’t a fan of his. He has so many songs, and I haven’t listened to all of your reactions so if I mention any you have already done, I apologize in advance. For his soothing timber with gospel: Peace in the Valley and Crying in the Chapel. For what I call his “GOSPEL” gospel: Why me Lord and How Great Thou Art I prefer his live 1972 performance there Welcome to my world, What now my Love, An American Trilogy, you gave me a mountain, It’s now or never is a true masterpiece. I’LL remember you and Bridge over Troubled Water
I've been to Graceland and seen that Leather Suit. It's thick, heavy leather. With that low stage and the lights having to be so close, I don't know if I could have made it through the show without having a heat stroke! The White Suit for If I Can Dream, performed at the end to close this show, was there, too.
@@kathifielder1110 yes, that's the one I referenced. I know you are a great fan...I happened to be working the phones at the Memphis Fire Dept on 8/16/1977...Graceland called, wanted ambulance stat. within 3 hrs we were getting calls from around the world wanting particulars.
@@leroyleach7581 I think the one you mentioned will lead her to the video of Elvis walking through the audience. In the one I was talking about Elvis stays on stage the whole time and makes lots of comments as he's singing and kissing. You'll find it on RU-vid by searching Elvis Presley - Love Me Tender, Kissing a lot of Girls (7:41). And wow what an experience you had on that tragic day.
If you're new to Elvis, I'd like to request that you react to: Elvis Presley - Music Evolution (1954-1977) (7:32). It will give you an idea of his versatility. He recorded over 700 songs in all different genres. I think you'd also enjoy: Lisa Marie & Elvis Presley Duet "In The Ghetto" (3:11). I think this is the best version of the duet because of the video that's included. Lisa Marie was only nine years old when Elvis passed away.
@@brandyreacts YES an excellent voice be sure to use this one from the movie when Elvis puts social injustice, poverty and ghetto life on his platform in a big way. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-DART7FA9Krs.html To follow I would recommend If I Can Dream. The movie reproduced his personal tribute to MLK and Robert Kennedy, two civil rights icons, but once you hear the original from Elvis, you will see how it blows away even the movie version! (Which I really liked). ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-u-pP_dCenJA.html Elvis had to fight his manager, NBC Studios executives, and the sponsors/advertisers just to get this song through. Elvis wanted a message song to speak to the nation after the terrible tragedies of that decade, the assassinations of MLK and other public figures, the race riots, discrimination/racism, poverty, kkk, violence, Vietnam war, politics, etc...
A health issue: Elvis inherited the genetic condition A-1 antitrypsin causing COPD/emphysema & began needing to use an inhaler to help him breath; at 2:15 he touched his throat then said hold it, i'm out of breath, wait a minute, then he laughed & continued on; he also coughed a couple of times, once at 4:00. People should be aware of his lung problems -- all the more reason to appreciate what he did for the love of performing & for his audience that he never gave up until he passed away.
hey, your recent request was blocked by RU-vid. I'm going to redo the reaction and hopefully it uploads. it takes up to 30 days for RU-vid to check out the dispute but in the meantime is there anything else to want me to react to or would you like a refund? Sorry about that.
@@brandyreacts I'm sorry bout' that, I'll never want a refund, I appreciate your time. and thank you for replying back. Lynyrd Skynyrd - Simple Man, is a great 70's southern rock song would be a cool to see you react to?
@@Robert-tc1bt I appreciate you! And I’ll be dropping that reaction tomorrow night. Sound garden is uploaded as well only Alice In Chains was blocked. But I got you!
You said you had an interest in the old music. If you're not familiar with these, maybe I could introduce you to them: (1) Eddie Cochran - Summertime Blues (Town Hall Party - 1959) (2:44) (2) Little Richard - Long Tall Sally 1956 (HD) (2:21) (3) Carpenters - Superstar (3:48) (4) The Seekers - I'll Never Find Another You (Stereo) (2:46) (5) Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons - Big Girls Don't Cry 1962 (2:31)
