I never thought about that before... Ross' first line in the whole show was "Hi," and then his son's first word (and therefore first line in the show) was "Hi." That's so cute!

Old Yeller is so engrained in culture it's weird to find people who never even heard of it. XD

I think you guys are a little confused abt Phoebe! She had a TERRIBLE childhood - not sheltered at all. Her mother may have shielded her from the sad endings of a few movies, but besides that Phoebe had a very traumatic life. For instance, her mom killed herself; her father abandoned her as a baby; she went hungry as a kid b/c they were so poor; her stepdad went to prison; before the age of 14 she was homeless and living on the streets; she got hepatitis when a pimp spit in her mouth; she used to mug people; and she once stabbed a cop (but only because he stabbed her first! 🙃).

This whole season is hysterical ♥

Honestly i get where Phoebe's mom came from, because Old Yeller scarred me for life. There was this whole rash of really sad kid movies back in the day, like in the 50s 60s 79s, cuz I don't think they quite realized what it did to kids; like Old Yeller, Where the Red Fern Grows (which was also an incredibly depressing book that I shouldn't have read at my age, along with The Yearling). I think they were trying to get kids used to the idea of death, but it was always with an animal / pet, and it was incredibly depressing. That movie and Dumbo screwed me up for life, because Dumbo was locked away from his mother. Now I work with foster youth, and their parents are incarcerated a lot, and it's too much for them as teenagers, much less elementary school kids. I'm still not sure why adults let us watch these things when we were kids.

7:37 , not really ... David is very different from his character. He's much more composed and confident and less quirky if you see him off screen.

Beethoven 1 & 2, Hotel for Dogs, Homeward Bound 1 & 2; were all apart of my childhood. If you don't like Old Yeller or Marley and Me, I don't think you would like Where The Red Fern Grows. All three movies are very sad.

Beethoven is amazing!! I've always loved those movies!! I would not recommend Marley & Me tho if Old Yeller is something you don't want to see. Because that's the saddest damn thing... 😆

Speaking of cruel social media pranks : Jimmy Kimmel (from tv) has been doing this thing for over ten years where parents pretend they ate all of their kid's Halloween candy. The kids are usually crying and hysterical and asking,"Why? Why did you do that? All of it??" "Yes, it's all gone, there's nothing left." And Kimmel just thinks it's the funniest thing ever.

The problem with kids today(in each generation there is a problem that stands out, same goes for when we grew up), that information is readily available on the internet, so kids think that they know more than those of older generations because they confuse knowledge with experience and wisdom, which are two things that is impossible to gain with anything but time Being 15 and believing that u have the wisdom of some1 who is as intelligent as u that has thought about all of the things u think about for 50 years is just folly, I think the smarter kids does show the older generations respect and listen to them for advice That is the only type of respect that would be smart of kids to show the older generations, but there are those of the older generations that think that respect should come automatically which is so dumb, respect should be earned and no1 will respect a dumbass who just thinks they should be respected because they exist

I thought only Rachel was irritating. But all 3 girls are so irritating in this season. Only Chandler is saving this show.

Times were hard life was real the movie alerted people to the reslity of Rabies then the immunizations came out

The writers went too Far with Phoebe’s Story, and she isn’t really a Nice person phoebe has a dark past inc crime, but anyway all that turning her story into a parody, obviously for comedic effect which insecure people now take seriously. But I think phoebe was not believable as a real person, like all the other characters. I’ve never come across a Phoebe, like I have Rachel, Joey, Monica, Chandler, and many others. To me the lack of realistic Nuance to her character is obvious thanks to the level of depth to the other characters, Shame really
