The song you were thinking of is by John Lee Hooker Boom Boom, it was made famous to a wider audience with the 1980's movie Blues Brothers.

Yes, George, Led Zepplin and others do many covers of pre-Rock N Roll era blues songs by such artists as John Lee Hooker, Lead Belly and Willie Dixon just to name a few. If you want to hear George do a song that he actually wrote checkout 'I Drink Alone". I suggest the official video with Bo Diddley.

This band is so great. We saw him and his band in a small bar in London, Ont. in late 90's or early 2000's He blew the roof off the place.

You are thinking Johnny Lee Hooker "Boom Boom". Johnny Lee Hooker was a famous blues musician who also played in the Blues Brothers movie. He originally recorded Boom Boom in the early 1960s.

I'm a Delaware Girl.. born and raised.. Delaware doesn't have a lot of claim to fame.. But George and the Delaware Destroyers yes.. I grew up in the southern part of Delaware but when I got married my husband was from Newark, DE.. north, there was a bar on Main Street.. the Stone Balloon.. Meatloaf and George were there quite a bit.. I wasn't old enough to ever see them, unfortunately, but I truly wish I had been. I would ride by that bar all the time.. but too young to get in.. sad
