First time watching GET OUT (2017) Movie Reaction

Hola, familia! We are halfway through the month, and halfway through the films I have lined up for #blackhistorymonth - Here we are with Jordan Peele's directorial debut, GET OUT! This film came out in 2017 and really changed the way I looked at tackling black issues, and really PEOPLE issues in general, in film. Before 2017 I had stopped watching films that seemed to only want to put black people in compromising situations only to show us that we are still safe in our own backyards. This film masterfully teaches a lesson about microaggressions and internalized racism by simultaneously making it seem calculating and blatant. I enjoy this film so much and that's why I chose it for this month! Hope you all enjoy this watch with me. Always sending you my love and my light! That ending. When the cop car pulls up and that damn Rose starts playing victim. I was like "If he gets in trouble for this, I swear to Jesus I'm kicking my tv through the wall." 😑 Such a great film. Absolutely loved it.

In the first song from 3:25 they are saying "Kimbiaaa" which is the Swahili word for RUN, so yes you were right

The way she didn't want him to give up his ID to the cops.....It was so that she couldn't be identified as the last person he was with when he inevitably goes missing. That shit is chilling when you think about it.
