First Time Watching: Guardians of the Galaxy (2014) - Movie Reaction! 

I was geeking out in the theatre when Nebula and Gamora were fighting each other. I first became a fan of the amazing Karen Gillian when she started as Amy Pond, on Doctor Who. And I first saw Zoe Zaldana on Star Trek. So my brain was screaming in excitement, "Lt Uhura of the Enterprise vs Amy Pond of the TARDIS!!" *squee!!* 😁🥰🤩

To this day the opening of this film hits me so hard because in 2014 when this released I lost my own mother to cancer and my only big sister to a heart attack. It was the worst year of my entire life but this film was incredibly cathartic for me because I completely understood how Peter felt.

Watching you two make the realization that Bradley Cooper is Rocket & Vin Diesel is Groot is adorable. One of the main reasons I watch reactions from MCU newcomers. As a die hard comics and MCU fan for decades now I always appreciate seeing others discover the Marvel universe for the first time! Keep it coming gentleman!❤

YES!! The Dog is based on Laika! Her name is Cosmo in the movie. My dog was her for Halloween last year 😂

Howard the Duck was the first Marvel character adapted for a big budget movie. And it bombed so badly it was the last for many, many years.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 1-3 is amazing trilogy with-in MCU. It rivals with Captain American trilogy imho.

Hey guys! That was terrific. I have watched just a crazy amount of MCU reaction channels. I must commend you on the clever way you handled the copyright music. It was very well done and you even matched the tone and the tempo to go with the song you had to replace. This allowed you to make the video longer which really helps one of the problems of your early videos. I have always thought this movie is a fantastic way to build a team in a single movie. The Avengers had five films to give background on most of the characters before bringing them together, Guardians did it in a single film and got us to care about each member and even cry over a tree!

"We're in space too. We are ! Earth is in space." Best observation ever. You guys are not only ridiculously attractive, but a hell of a lot of fun. Makes watching your reactions truly enjoyable. The Guardians are great. Looking forward to seeing you ride the roller-coaster that is their story, and how they fit into the rest of the MCU.

Alrighty. Just finished binging your Marvel playlist (started with Guardians) and I’ve subbed. I enjoy your reactions and like your little bit of analysis after. I’m pretty keen to see what Tony has to say once you guys have done End Game. Great work guys. And, I should probably put this part of the comment in that movie, everything you said about Thor 2 is what a lot of people think also. It’s not a bad movie but doesn’t quite hit the mark, made even more obvious by some really nice and cool moments in it.

FYI-The opening song „Come and Get Your Love“ is by a Native American band called „Red Bone“. You can see them perform this song live on U-Tube from a 1975 show called „The Midnight Special“. Cheers

Fun fact, when Chris Pratt dropped the orb in Knowhere with the Collector, it wasn't scripted for his character. The actor actually dropped the orb by accident, but they kept it in because it was fitting for Pratt's character, Peter Quill😅😂

35:17 Props for picking up on the inspiration for a blink and you’ll miss it character that is really important to the Guardians as a team in the comics and video games BUT doesn’t get to have a full fledged role in the MCU until the 3rd Guardians film. Thats Cosmo the courageous COSMOnaut that was done dirty by Russia yet mysteriously survived space and evolved to have super powers of their own! #CosmosAReallyReallyGoodDog

26:00, it also helps that he's a raccoon, and they're notorious for stealing sh*t, ESPECIALLY shiny sh*^. And technology does, more often than not, lean in the "shiny" department. The amount of sense that this makes for his character is verrrrrry clever. subtle. but as time goes on, keep an eye on Rocket and his sticky fingers. When he walks through a random room, it's like a "spot the difference" game. lol

As you continue your Guardians viewing don't forget the Guardians Holiday special, It falls between the second and third movie and explains a few things.

Thanos is an Eternal from the planet Titan. Gamora and Nebula are both adopted by Thanos. They are not related as they are all different species. Ronan is a Kree fanatic who was hired by Thanos to retrieve the Orb on Morag. Ronan in turn sent Korath the Pursuer who is the dark skinned Kree cyborg. Not to be confused with Yondu Udonta, a Ravager pirate who was hired to pick up Peter Quill a.k.a. Star Lord. Rocket Raccoon was originally a Terran raccoon who was experimented on both genetically and had mechanical implants installed. Which is why he can walk, talk, fire a blaster or pilot a ship. Groot is from a plant like race who Rocket encountered in his travels and partnered up with. Drax the destroyer had his family murdered by Ronan and he holds a bit of a grudge 😅 The Russian astronaut dog is named Cosmo. The talking duck is Howard the Duck. George Lucas made a live action movie on Howard with Lea Thompson. 😂 They actually made a dancing baby Groot toy. You might be able to find one on E-bay. 😂

So... I tend to stay away from duo reactions (there are exceptions), and I almost scrolled past this reactions in my recommended videos. Then I saw the name of the channel, and as a cat dad myself, I watched. It was at the point where you realized the collateral damage that happened, where I decided to subscribe. That being said... you are definitely one of the exceptions and great reaction. You'll find the Guardian's movies the editing nightmares of the MCU.

The rule in Comic Book movies as a whole is- "If you don't see the body, they aren't dead". I don't care if there's a funeral if they don't show the life leave the body they aren't dead.

When this movie came out, nobody knew much about Guardians of the Galaxy, even most comic book fans. The movie versions of the characters are almost completely different from the original comic book versions. They even rebooted the Guardians of the Galaxy comic and completely changed the characters based off the script for the movie. But, by the time you get to Guardians 3, the characters are more like their original selves, so it's like the movies are a prequel to the comics.

The Guardians of the Galaxy is hands down the best ride at Disney! (If you like crazy roller coaster-type rides…soo awesome!)

I purchased all 3 cd’s. They were all fantastic!

The statements I'm making is based off the MCU version of the characters not the comic book interpretations because the comic book versions are a lot stronger. Rocket raccoon is smarter than Tony Stark. Groot died in this movie the Groot at the end in the planter is his son. Gamora's is 2 to 3 times stronger than Captain America and Drax is 5 times stronger than gamora. The only reason Drax seen weaker then Ronan the accuser is because Ronan himself is equal to current Thor normal with a weapon that also equal to Thor's hammer. Now of course with the power Stone Ronan is more powerful than Thor and strength is equal to if not greater than the Hulk base level strength without getting angry. For Some base level scaling the Hulk is able to lift the empire State building without getting angry.

So Rocket Raccon is Bradley Cooper and the Tree - Groot is Vin Diesel.

If no one else said it. That baby groot is not groot. Is the offspring of him. Please don't do the "I don't beleive any death anymore" because it would be like the boy and the wolf situation,if you know what i mean. Without spoilers nebula also is adopted. Thanos is a titan ,nebula a kree.

If you guys react to the 1st 6 Star Wars movies, I will definitely subscribe. And no doubt, so will a lot of others. We don't talk about the new trilogy. It's good he didn't pay attention, lol. Depending on how much you know about Star Wars, will determine which order you should watch it in. Release order is the safest bet. But if you know the 2 big Twists in the originals, then chronological order is also fine, imo. ❤

Marvels is great to bring out the emotion in people watching...fyi they ain't done yet, you love the characters more and more. If you are looking for another recent series that is popular and can give you the feels, try the TV series The Last of Us, it is adapted from the video games. Every episode destroys you, it is the perfect reaction show. Thanks for the entertaining content.
