the one piece bounty system is very interesting. it doesnt really represent someones power very well at all. every bounty is based on how big of a threat the government thinks you are. this is a combination of strength, influence, danger to civilians and danger to the government

This actually makes so much sense why Arlong has the highest bounty in the East Blue. The terror he caused and the fact that the Marines couldn't handle him explains it well. Buggy, on the other hand, dominates one city and almost destroys it, but it’s not quite the same. Yosaku mentioned that Arlong’s strength is comparable to one of the Seven Warlords, a Fishman whose name I can't recall right now. However, when considering Mihawk’s strength, Arlong isn’t even close. Now I understand why he has such a big bounty. It really highlights how complex and multi-dimensional the world of One Piece is. Thanks for sharing your insight!

@@GiraffeReactionsZone I don't know if yosaku actually said that because its completely wrong. Arlong has a strong relationship with one of them yes but he isnt anywhere close to them in strength because as you said mihawk is so much stronger. The warlords themselves are much more powerful than arlong could ever hope to be. Mihawk is one of them yes and the name of the other one is Jinbei but its still gonna be a while before they become important. Not all warlords are equal in strength much like the Akatsuki from Naruto but all of them are still very strong. Just how strong? You'll find out!

There are some filler episodes that is not that important to the story but its canon to the story.

I was actually planning to skip episodes 54-60, but now I’m really considering it. I think what I’ll do is create a poll about it. The poll will be open until Sunday, and I’ll make a decision that morning before recording. What do you think about it?
