Gangstalicious is voiced by well respected hip hop legend Mos Def (now known as Yasiin Bey). In 1999 he released a classsic album named "Black on Both Sides" and he has done many collaboration with the rapper Talib Kweli.

Gangstalicious is definitely one of my utmost favorite characters because he’s just like me. He’s like “There’s…there’s no cops out there…?!”🤣🤣 id be terrified

My favorite part of the boondocks is the continuity of the episodes. Small bits and parts will always be brought back for later story points.

I could be wrong, but I don't believe Gangstalicious was based on anyone specific. I think it was just a funny hypothetical. There's the general idea that some rappers juice up their image for marketing purposes. With that, there has to be at least one who is just COMPLETELY lying about who they are to their fans. What if one of those lies was about their sexuality? I think the disclaimer was just Aaron taking precaution. Because it COULD apply to a lot of rappers, but they didn't wanna seem like they were calling out anyone.

I believe Gangstalisous is a combination of thuggish rappers from the time. Also, Granddad was just complaining out loud to himself at the end.
