Statham's airplane rescue is quite possibly the best (non-car) sequence this franchise has ever, and will ever do. Which is wild since it's a character that didn't even enter the franchise until the seventh film. That scene is just so freaking good, badass, funny, etc, all at once.

The villain is 99% of "obsessively staring at a screen without blinking and speaking with a whisper"

Just in case you didnt catch it. I believe the "you won my car, and my respect" was referring to Brian's line in fast1 that he wants respect from Dom at the first race we saw. I could be wrong but this made me teared up a bit.

the reason it feels different is because Paul died, him and Vin said they would make 10 of the movies and be done, it feels like they kind of lost motivation after Pauls death but are just making these until they hit the 10 movies - i guess it was Paul and Vins passion project

It’s surprisingly easy to hack a car. Some guys went to Jeep and told them this but Jeep didn’t believe them so from 10 miles away the hackers turned on the AC, blasted the radio, turned on the windshield wipers and then stopped it while it was going 70mph. I think they work there now

This isn’t a bad movie don’t think of it as not being realistic, think of it as entertainment!

If you think this movie has gone crazy, wait till you see "Hobbs & Shaw." Oh and of course the 9th one.

The problem with f&f now is that they take themselves super serious, while hardcore fans have just completely lost hope in seeing a new f&f movie that makes somewhat sense..

They really should continue the franchise with a spin-off series with Shaw family. Still think Statham and Luke Evans were one of the best characters in the franchise.

At this point Cypher is going to be a returning villain. At this point, the movies are no longer going to be a different plot each movie, it's going to be a continuing story. I'm actually not sure which of the films is my favorite. I don't think the lack of Paul Walker is why this movie feels different though. I think the reason this feels different is because of just how much it's turned into a generic action flick. That said, it's a fun ride all the same. The movies are no longer all about street racing, they are now all about; "What can we do with cars?"

Vin definitely aged from FF1 & xXx days lol, he got a lot bigger and older looking compared to those days. also, they should definitely do a standard TV Series that takes it all back to film 1-3 era just some street kid on his way to internation race wars or something.

Dom was just as fast in reverse, because that car has 4 gears in reverse and 4 gears forward. Hence the 2 shifters.

In an interview Daniel Radcliffe listed as one of his favorite movies. It’s a 2001 teen movie based off a Shakespeare play and it’s oh so good. Kirsten Dunst, Ben Foster, Mila Kunnis, Sisqo, Zoe Saldana, Martin Short, Colin Hanks are in it. It’s so underrated

Fast Five is definitely my favourite and was the last one to kind of keep grounded and stayed with the heist theme. My order from best to worst would be something like 5, 1, 4, 9, 7, H&S, 6, 8, 3, 2. As 2 Fast 2 Furious felt too disconnected without Dom and Tokyo Drift had the same kind of issue for me. 6-9 Just got crazier and crazier and more actiony and spy thriller than street. Although different still very entertaining for me. Am very excited for X.

You don’t take these movies serious anymore. That’s kind of the point. They have become sci-fi action movies more than realistic action movies, and they know it very well. In the next one they even make fun of how ridiculous it has become, so the writers are definitely making the movies unrealistic and fun on purpose😉

The dialogue in this film is horrendous and embarrassing. One thing that really started to annoy me was the pointless walkie-talkie conversations every 3 seconds, for example when Tej takes the time to hold it up to his face while driving, press the talk button just to shout "no, no, no, no"....... why? Also, the less said about the Statham baby fight scene with the stupid music, the better, not to mention Helen Mirren's forced cockney accent and slang terms, which I'm surprised, as an English actress, was terrible.

I always felt the storyline was always planned to have Dom vs Brian in a big twist but without Paul some of the seriousness/heart went out the window and they tried to double down on the action and humor to compensate

I think it feels different because Paul isn’t in it. The characters are all written the way they should be in my opinion, but the writers are changed in f9. In f9 the characters don’t feel the way they are supposed to in my opinion
