just a little context for when Suga says he has no problem with butter's choreography and that the Army don't have to worry about him. In November 2020 he underwent an operation on his left shoulder, this operation was the result of an accident he had when he was an apprentice at bighit (he talks about it in some of these songs like the last and amygdala ). Following this operation he had a long recovery period, which is why in this video he gives a little news to the Army.
@@HPReactYes and this is why instead of serving 18 months in the Korean army military like the other 6, Suga is doing 21 months of alternative/community service. Otherwise he may re- injure his shoulder. Although he did start his required 3 weeks basic training at a military base this week, then he will go back to his alternative service job. His former roommate and only hyung (big brother) in the group Jin took off a day from his army service and traveled hours to see him off on his first day. He will be the last one to get out in June 2025💜
Check out their Grammy performance! It was remarkable that two members only cleared of COVID a day or two prior, and there was only one day to practice together before the show.
The Butter MV holds the Guinness world record for the most viewed MV in 24 hours at 108.2 million over taking Dynamite’s 101 million! Butter Grammy performance is a must watch!
You can even see a lot of their personalities and roles here. J-Hope being a meticulous dance leader. Suga telling us not to worry about his shoulder (surgery in 2020). Jimin being soft and warm. V being interested in the set. Jin telling jokes - keeping it funny. RM as leader being first to follow director's instructions, and bringing up Army. And JK constantly striving to be better-better-better.
Filmed in Korea. Still during Covid. They did an amazing job of rebuilding sets to match the shows they were on while they were stuck in Korea and couldn’t travel. James Corden for Dynamite, the Grammy performance of Dynamite, a London radio show, etc. The stages they built got MTV unplugged were beautiful as well. They never give tech/costuming behind the scenes but as you have noted, the team is amazing. I also love seeing the smiles you two have while watching these videos. I think you’re feeling the joy that BTS brings. It’s why we love them. You would enjoy seeing their RU-vid documentary from you tube premium. A lot of tour footage from their first world tour and you can see their growth as artists from episode 1 to 8. Their Bon Voyage series and In the Soop series are fantastic, too.
I will join in the chorus of people recommending that you watch both the Grammy preparation video as well as the actual Grammy performance from 2022. The performance, with no explanation, is stunning. However, if you have the additional context of the obstacles they had to overcome, it becomes a truly remarkable show of courage and talent. With two members released from quarantine due to Covid just a day or two prior to the performance, and Jin unable to join a good portion of the choreography due to surgery on his hand, they could’ve been excused for scaling it back and not trying some of the risky parts of the choreography….but they went for it, and it’s amazing. 😍
He knows we're a bunch of worriers when it comes to our tannies. It's sweet that he thought to let us know that he was doing okay with the choreo since he knew we'd worry about him being okay. Suga's way of showing love through acts of service and being attentive to others' needs/concerns fits him so well.
Suga was telling ARMY he could do the choreography well and for them not to worry about him because he had had shoulder surgery. He was in a car accident as a trainee and had suffered through years of shoulder pain as a result. The slowdown in their schedules due to the pandemic allowed him to take the necessary time to get it repaired. Thanks for reacting. I think it would be great if you reacted to an MV follow by behind the scenes or "making of" videos all together in the same video.
Yeah…it’s like a right of BTS passage. 💜 Although I almost feel sorry for reactors, who are not quite prepared. Most get thrown into this incredible event without actually understanding some of the context behind it. The individual performances by the seven members and how each one represents a past hit, etc. 🤯 Still, I agree that these lovely guys will love it, and respect it, and won’t quite know what to do with themselves after they see it!! 😅💯💜
After watching this, I think you would enjoy their Behind the Scenes video for their performance of Butter at the Grammy's.. It goes into all the problems that led up to the performance and how talented and skilled they are to be able to work through them to pull off a near perfect performance. Thanks for another great reaction! 💜
Butter grammy performance was amazing as well and its behind the scenes is available as well ....if possible react to both in one video please. Thank you once for your reaction guys. loved it! And yes they filmed this in korea and that time covid is also there but not that much.... Next up i recommend you guys to react to MY UNIVERSE song collaboration with coldplay, and watch behind the scenes of that as well ...just little bit spoiler if you watch behind the scenes of my universe you will found that butter was also been recorded as well that time with my universe. (Sorry for mistakes my English is not so good)
These behind the scenes videos are significant because it breaks down the wall between artist and fan helping to build the connection between them. American media types who do not understand the loyalty of ARMY. As a rule, Western artists maintain an aloofness and are seen on red carpets or posts from celebrity events. The odd thing that is different from the West is while there are hours of videos with the BTS members ,we do not know certain personal details of their lives. For instance, there is little information on or even pictures of their parents and siblings. Instead, we get to see/ hear their creative process, their struggles in this area. We get to see their group dynamic. I said in an earlier post that when ARMY tells you about the context of a song or video or how a MV was shot, they are facts. The loyalty and love of ARMY may be tested in the post military phase of their career and, quite frankly, their lives. Will ARMY allow them to be adult men with partners, wives and children? More importantly, I am interested in how the internal dynamics will play out now that they have had the military responsibilities and have developed their own musical tastes. From everything they have said since entering this phase in 2022, all are committed to being BTS in addition to pursuing solo work. It will be interesting. I can't wait
ARMY has no say to "allow" them to have personal lives. But everything will be kept completely quiet until the member is ready. These are the biggest celebrities in the world, and Korea isn't the US.
@1badlibrarian I am never sure who it is out there that causes a social media storm when it is rumored that V was dating that female idol or when pictures of V and JK smoking cigarettes or trying to link RM to the another woman. Are these peopke ARMY? We do see stories where other Idols are forced to apologize for the " scandal" of dating. I never followed KPop Idols before BTS.
I think by now you know that LOTS of their MVs have a "making of" for them so I hope you check them all out. By this time (Butter MV) they were old hats at shooting videos and this really was an easy one for them. I think you'll really like the making of Fake Love or Spring Day or, well, all of them! :) Just go to their RU-vid channel BangtanTV. Explore and have fun! 💜💜
You should watch the Grammy performance of this song....and the rehearsal. They were really exciting, some were sick and have Covid and could only pratice one day...after seeing their performance and then learning what a hard time they had, the performance stood out even more to me!! They are really hard workers. 🙏🕊🫰💜💜💜
Each comeback has theme sets. That is why they have amazing stage decor. As for outfits. BTS are provided many designers options. The costume department provides several styles that coordinate for the theme they are going for. The members like to mix mens/women's fashion and do it extremely well. As a matter of fact, BTS as ambassadors to top fashion houses make the outfits look beautiful way better than those so-called models. They are famous for selling out every outfit they put on in hours all over the world. Even regular daily products.
Def in Korea…. It was a pandemic song… There are “shooting sketches” for most of their MV’s… the majority produced by LUMPENS a Korean studio headed by Choi yong seok. Some that are particularly worth watching imho (After you watched the MV ) are Mic drop ( for the wire work and explosions) On kinetic manifesto (for the conditions) Save me ( for the cameraman and the conditions) Blood sweat and tears (for the set) And fake love (for the practical effects) Enjoying your reactions keep going 💜🇨🇦
Live performances usually get dinged/copyright, so we just have to keep trying. We've got half a dozen videos that just can't be seen right now because they're 'blocked' :(
firstly love your channel and reactions. 2nd i saw someone comment about the noonas who "pick their clothes" while im sure sometimes the noonas pick the clothes actually majority of the time the guys pick the clothes themselves. someone else said they dont really care about their clothes also not really true they have moments where they care and they have moments when they dont. they all have really good style weve seen lots of personal content from them where they didnt have production crew or staff to dress them and are just hanging out or going on trips with family or friends etc every outfit they wear on camera is chosen by them they get the final say but maybe what more so happens is the staff/noonas will have many outfits and they pick the ones they want to wear. or they request for this specific type of clothes or accessory etc or they just need a special type for example v has a skin condition and when he sweats or the clothes are too tight it bothers him and he has flare ups etc so they try to get the most loose fitting clothes for him that still matches whatever concept theyre going for. ive seen the members suggest specific clothes like when rm said for a performance at a award show they should wear tuxedos and they did. there were times members asked for different things example in this video jin asking for sunglasses. so yes they do get help but its not "put this on now or you have to wear what i say etc" theyre not forced nor do they have to wear whats given they just usually go with it now due to knowing this staff for almost 11 years maybe longer so these people know bts members style and preferences. this applies to all aspects not just clothes/wardrobe but choreography, their scenes in the videos what they do etc, how its filmed, where its filmed, writing the songs, how to do the performances, what props to use, how the albums packaging looks, how merch looks, what songs to perform, what genres of music, dance etc they do they have a say in everything have the freedom and ability to make changes and suggest ideas in all aspects of their careers. ive seen all of this in all their content from tv shows, docuseries, documentaries, reality shows, game shows, behind the scenes, making of, red carpets, airports fashion, performances, concerts, live streams, social media posts etc btw fun fact they run all their social media accounts themselves the label doesnt control that. theres specific account the label controls which are for announcements, music releases etc but they have a group twitter they each sign in when they feel like sometimes random 3am posts. then theres weverse they each have their own account and would blow up our phones talking to each other under a fans post its really funny and wholesome, then they each have instagram accounts and all have different styles (jungkook deleted his instagram cause he didnt like maintaining it so he made a tiktok and posts dance videos which he loves doing so much more)
It spells out ARMY so when RM raps ARMY right behind when we say so he's standing in front of the other Memeber using their bodys to spell out the fandom name with is ARMY. ARMY stands for Adorable Representative M.C for Youth.
I love watching your reactions. This is a great song and video and I always love watching the MV sketch/shoots. They did this song at the Grammys, it was so so so good. They also have different versions of this song; my favourite is the Hotter Remix because you get to see their goofy side in the video.
Glad you got to see the behind the scenes of Butter! You can see how they are very meticulous and watch their performance while monotoring their shoot. Jhope also is very meticulous, I guess they all learned from him, knowing how each performance whould be - positioning and the dance performance.
Great review! Before moving on from Butter, please check out the Grammys 2022 performance. You’ll get a look at the live performance. After that, I recommend “Fake Love”. Eventually, check out the 2019 MMA Award show for a mind-blowing performance!
I love your sense of humour, and also that you "get" BTS, they can be pretty chaotic but it feels like you naturally get their personality. I can't wait for you to watch other "making of" videos, I think you will find it interesting. I recommend "Fake love"
Y’all must’ve nailed ymca back in the day 😜 We worried about Suga bc he had shoulder surgery in late 2020. He had been dancing through pain for years after being hit by a car when he was a trainee.
I used to follow western boy bands and usually once the got a little bit of fame they would start to show this kind of arrogance from being on top. So it was quite refreshing when I discovered BTS and their amazing performances but still they were saying things like "sorry, we will get better" "we will work harder for the next time" like no arrogance at all, and they still think that way. They always think there are things to improve every time.
Hi! SAVE ME has a cool behind the scenes, I think you watched that? It's special because it's a one-take video and they were fighting horrid weather, cold and rain.
Honestly this is fun. Do more behind the scenes type of video reactions. You guys have seen a many music videos already and all of those videos have behind the scenes videos like this.
I am so happy with this video, I watched your faces and gestures and you were really enjoying it!!! Yesss, like I wrote before you are part of ARMY now! Please, please, go check their live performance of butter at the grammys, it is really worth it.
@@HPReact not their actual sisters, noona it's a term used in korea to refer a little bit older woman, this ladys are staff members. kpop is a mix of different industries and fashion is one of them that's why they wear really cool cloths
Right, you know that they are not custom tailored because poor Jin is always having to tuck in his shirts--his shoulders are so broad that if the shirt fits him there, then there is a swath of extra material by the time it gets to his waist, and he's always coming untucked.
The guys are really not hung up on clothes and will wear nearly anything. In the ARMY part, you can see they have this sort of interesting combination of feminine things like ruffles and lace, paired with heavy, masculine style chains and whatnot. It just becomes really cool fashion when you stop worrying about it. But I'm always most excited to see Jungkook in a music video because his clothes fit. When left to his own devices, he tends to wear things the size of a circus tent.
Please check out the 64th Grammy with BTS doing butter and they made it into a James Bond theme and they only had one day to rehearse this and they did a wonderful job you’ll be amazed
I LOVE your reactions! Please please please I beg you, make a reaction to both the behind the scenes of the two videos for ON! They were both shot around LA and I'm sure you'll like it and you can give us a lot of insights 💜💜💜 Thank you again for giving our guys such respect and love! Borahae!💜
you dont se the behind the scene of the designers making the clothes sadly because they dont need to advertise it everything the members wear gets sold out within minuts. it´s actually crazy. but often times gucci and and other designers make their concert clothes along with red carped. but they have a whole crew in charge of the clothes
You guys are funny and hillarious reactors. I love you guys 😂😂❤❤ keep streaming BTS. They have a lot of cinematic and stprytelling stuff to breakdown 🥰🥰🥰🫰🫰🫰. Borahae 💜
Ils voyages avec l'équipe du "taff", ils font travailler beaucoup de gens , ils ont aussi une équipe de stylistes qui les habilles , les coiffes, les maquilles, vivement leurs retours
Please check out Black Swan and do the behind the scenes too. 💜💜. And maybe check out Save Me behind the scenes. Most of their songs have mv and behind the scenes footage.
You might enjoy the James Corden episode where they perform this on a crosswalk. Not sure if it's something RU-vid will let you react to, but it was a really fun episode.
Check BTS cover of I'll Be Missing You (by P. Daddy, F. Evans & Sting) sang live at BBC Channel. You will definitely love the cover plus the twist...they actually sang 3 songs live. Thanks for reacting to BTS. I recommend you check also BTS Room Live BTS Festa. Thanks for reacting to BTS
Check out George Hollin's channel--he analyzes BTS' fashions, and here's the link to the analysis he did for Butter: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-DBCjqbYpUJQ.htmlsi=LPyxHqsiTUfM-uN3
Thanks for the reaction!!!💜💜💜 I advise you to watch the "Fake love" clip and how this clip was made. It will be a real discovery for you! P.s. it's Google translate
