BIDET CRITTERS!! Thank you for watching this video and supporting the channel :) I'll be sure to talk about the live show once I'm back and cover more Critical Role content!
Thanks to Disney's The Ghost & Molly McGee and Nickelodeon's Loud House/Casagrandes, I cannot listen to Nila's voice WITHOUT hearing either Sharon McGee or Maria Santiago
Context for the sheep thing. It’s Caleb. Wild magic side effect. He teleported but doing so made it so he had to roll on the wild magic table. He got the sheep. But hey, he got through that portal first and just leapt into the astral sea which was hilarious
Cad is definitely my favourite between the two, and (depending on the day) either my absolute favourite, or at least in my top 3 for favourite CR characters over all 3 campaigns. The animated recaps are a delight :) SO glad you got the nutshell version at least before the live show, or Veth (and Sam's character) would have been like 5 different layers of confusing.
Watching these was so much fun, I am also so glad I binged them before seeing CR live, there was so much needed context which helped me enjoy the show even more than I would have. I’m now going to a Critter meet up at comic con to meet fellow fans :) I’ve already met a handful who have been so lovely and there are TONS of great cosplayers! + thinking about it now I do believe Cad is my favourite character that Taliesin plays :)
I'd definitely say the moments I'm looking forward to most in the upcoming series is the Battle in Darktow, obviously the cupcake, and this probably wouldn't make it in the show but if it does I'll be happy (Jester vandalizing the Bahamut statue)
So, the Obann's arc, with evil-Yasha, I'm really looking forward to seeing that in the animated show! Yasha is my favorite character of all 3 campaigns, and that story arc focused heavily on her (despite Ashley being absent for most of it, which is a bit unfortunate, but the arc wouldn't have played out the same otherwise). Plus the Cathedral fight was freaking awesome! :D Perfect for a season finale! So, yeah, I'm looking forward to seeing how that plays out in the animated series! We might even get some scenes from evil-Yasha's perspective as well! :)
Lol, yasha is easily my least favorite of all 3 campaigns. I say that not to troll, i truly love that this show is different things to different people.
5:49 Molly was fun and i loved his theme but i love Mr. Clay. Though they were both of the “weird” character archetype, Cad came in the perfect moment. Of the characters Molly and Cad acted both as sort of Moral compasses. Molly more in the Robin Hood sort of way and Cad more like a traditional nature cleric. Cad was the perfect follow ip on the “leaving a place better than when you arrived”. Molly’s death was a good thing, it made the characters realize that even if chaos may reign, it can all end in a single moment. Further more Cad had great influence on especially Fjord but the whole cast. We had the chaos balls in Jester and Nott. The anti-authoritarian in Caleb and Beau. The stoics in Yasha and to some degree Caleb and Fjord. But we didn’t have a pro-life/forgiveness character.
I love Nott and her husband reuniting. And once he realizes she became a goblin, he accepts her. Catharsis for Nott’s graphic novel when he didn’t know it was her and the town chased her out
I love Molly and named a character of mine after him before his return from death. That said, I'm still working on Campaign 2 and Caduceus has really "grown" on me. ^w^
Also at 27:00 is the Sending spell that Jester loves using. Nott and Caleb use the message cantrip with each other, but that has a range of like 120 feet. Sending can go anywhere, in theory.
I love the accent these characters have...but I have questions. 1. Is Fjord's accent a sort of Texas-style one or is it one of those thick, cockney accents? 2. I've read descriptions that say Yasha's voice has a sort of Slavic touch. What exactly does this mean? 3. Is Jester's accent something akin to Russian or Nordic
So sadly they did not show any new teaser for neither LoVM or the Animated Mighty Nein show (I did hope tho lol) but what they did show off was the new artwork of The Mighty Nein as they are now which was done by Eren Angiolini :)
